Thank you for posting that @emalady I'm really starting to find the bump heavy and getting stitch like pains when I walk. Was looking at something like this earlier...

Lulabell1 · 13/12/2018 20:58

@yakadee i really thought he might be in a funny position but we got there and he was like oh god yes big baby my partner laughed and I just gave him the eyes 👀 I really hope they have got it wrong like they got DDs wrong! Although she actully came out bigger dont no whats worse ha!

costacoffeecup · 13/12/2018 20:58

I think ranitidine has brought my constipation back- just a quick warning for fellow sufferers! Vanilla ice cream sounds like a plan, I haven't been able to eat dinner today because of heartburn.

Yakadee · 13/12/2018 21:07

@Lulabell1 - my son was 9lb2 and was measuring around 71st and told me he's be around 7-8lbs!! He was a surprise lol.

I don't think any of it can be that accurate as it's just so hard to predict. They've said if this little one keeps following this same line she'll be around 9 and a half pounder!!!! X

Yakadee · 13/12/2018 21:24

This little one is giving me some seriously low blows tonight! Yikes - talk about flipping lightening crotch! Lol x

hayley013 · 13/12/2018 21:25

My DD also measured big estimated over 9lb but came at 7lb 12 at 40 weeks exactly, I don't think the estimations are very accurate a lot of the time

Celebelly · 13/12/2018 21:30

Hooray for my fellow big baby ladies!

Dreading my fundal height measurement next week as pretty sure it's going to be huge. I feel massive! And caught sight of myself side on in mirror earlier and was horrified 😬😱

Starting to feel more tired and uncomfortable this week. It's been plain sailing till now but I'm beginning to get quite sore when moving around and less able to bend over. I slept for almost 12 hours last night too (with the obligatory getting up to pee multiple times) and I'm contemplating bed soon.

Lulabell1 · 13/12/2018 21:31

I agree DD was estimated 5lb2 at 34weeks and was born 36 on the dot at 7lb11.

Both my best friend and work friend are in hospital being induced today 1 of them been there since 2pm and they havent done anything yet and the other one been there since 3 and shes not feeling anything at all. Its making me not want to be induced even more what a long process! Very excited for them though

Notquiteagandt · 13/12/2018 22:27

So I havent really had any food cravings other than apples and cabbage but even then its not essential.

But I have started craving smells. Mainly the smell of petrol. Filled up car yesterday and it just smelt amaizing. Really satisfying.

So now I cant stop thinking about the smell. Im seriously debating going to dip a rag in some to catch the smell. Lying inbed at 10:30 thinking about petrol 😂🙈

Last week it was dove soap. Much more easier to manage!

Anyone else had any strange cravings??

Notquiteagandt · 13/12/2018 22:31

Also for measurements im not sure what to exspect her size to be. My earlier scans put her above 5th but just below 10th percentile. But her last one she had grown to a massive 90th percentile!!!

Fundal measurements I started at 50th percentile and dead on wk wise. And gradually dropped im now measuring 2 and a bit weeks behind and on the 5th percentile.

Cant help but think shes either going to be huge or tiny.

Will see what my next scan says. But at the moment there is no pattern at all. So really dont know what to exspect.

powkin · 13/12/2018 22:43

I knew my party shoes wouldn’t fit but couldn’t find any yesterday in town... desperately tried on my old shoes but I can barely get them on. It means either I dress super casual for Xmas party tomorrow or I have to go to Westfield tomorrow sobs.
I tried New Look and a small M&S and saw nothing so not at all hopeful 😭

powkin · 13/12/2018 22:45

@Notquiteagandt everyone at work has been disappointed by my lack of weird cravings. Early on in first trimester I had Petit Filou, but now it’s more particular chocolate bars, eg a crunchie, or on Thursday those Cadbury’s Snack biscuits (couldn’t find any!). I’ve found loads of foods I might be more fussy or picky about before I eat with enormous gusto now! Everything is shovelled in 🤣

twiglet · 14/12/2018 05:20

@Notquiteagandt yep first trimester-early second was iced coffee and melon.

2nd trimester onwards has been meat and biscuits. I was pescatarian for 10 years and vegetarian for 10 years before that so the meat thing is very strange for me given I've never liked it!
Also never really had a sweet tooth before so the biscuits is weird.

Been awake since 4 with pgp pain Sad so giving in and taking some paracetamol

emalady · 14/12/2018 07:20

@powkin good luck with shoes. Having to do December weekend shopping sounds horrible at the best of times let alone now! I have some black flats that I have been wearing to work and gently stretching which are going to have to do for my Christmas party but it's not until 19/1 so I may regret saying that I will go.

Leonora94 · 14/12/2018 08:17

Brrr it’s so cold! Hope everyone’s bumps are well wrapped up 😆 x

babyp160 · 14/12/2018 08:47

I normally have oily skin but this pregnancy has made me have the most dry and sore skin ever. I don't know what to do.

Every moisturiser inc non scented I come up in a rash. Hands especially were burning last night. Had to ice them.

Any tips?

Surprisedmom · 14/12/2018 12:13

@babyp160 if I get really dry skin I use baby oil. I don’t now if you do react to that too so i’d only try a small amount, but I think because it’s meant for babies it’s likely to be less irritating on your skin.

Regarding cravings I haven’t really had any except oranges (and I ate boiled eggs quite a bit at first). I went off a fair few things though (chocolate at first although that’s come back). People do seem quite disappointed that i’m not craving really strange things, but I think it’s one of those pregnancy things it’s presumed everyone has when they don’t.

babyp160 · 14/12/2018 12:30

@Surprisedmom good idea! I use that on my tummy so will give it a go! Xx

AliceRR · 14/12/2018 12:32

I haven’t had many cravings either and I do think what some people call cravings are just them wanting a certain thing such as a donut! I had a think to salt n vinegar crisps at one point and then went right off them. I was completely off hot choc in first trimester although wasn’t really fancying many foods. I have been wanting fruit on and off. I’m now eating pretty much normally. I’m a bit more hungry and I’m snacking on chocolate etc as a result when I’m at work but probably the same as I was before

sickmumma · 14/12/2018 12:54

I suffer with dry skin so badly on my hands and I find the best stuff is the hemp hand cream from the body shop! It's not the greatest smell but it works wonders on my poor cracked skin!

My pregnancy craving is hot cross buns (and only Sainsbury's ones) 😳 could easily eat 3 a day and if I don't have one I find myself getting really irritated and hangry about it! I wish it was something more healthy haha! But had my 28 week appointment at baby is measuring on target so it's doing the job! Xx

emalady · 14/12/2018 14:04

I find aveeno works well on my super dry sensative skin and isn't as greasy as some.

Camsie30 · 14/12/2018 15:05

@babyp160 me too. Since about 10 weeks I've had red, dry almost scaly patches on my face and my legs are so dry. Tried everything and it's really getting me down. Praying my skin goes back to normal once he's born

Lulabell1 · 14/12/2018 15:58

Try childs farm i suffer with serious Psoriasis and its the only thing that helps. I have craved tomatoe and feta pasta since day 1 and not gone off it i have it atleast 3times a week and my midwife was laughing when i told her!

Yakadee · 14/12/2018 16:23

Aww I don't think I have cravings and didn't with my last pregnancy! Feel left out Haha. There are things I like and really want but nothing I 'have to have' x

Lulabell1 · 14/12/2018 17:13

LAdies who have already had baby2 naturally was it easier second time? Were your labours quicker and did second baby come around same gestation as first?
