@welshweasel - wow! Just a month to go!! I want my date!!!! Haha x

Since2016 · 19/12/2018 15:42

Congrats on getting your date @welshweasel! How exciting!

twiglet · 19/12/2018 20:03

@Celebelly so did ours need to buy some colouring in pencils so I can fill it in when I start maternity before he arrives 😂

Celebelly · 19/12/2018 20:24

Haha I was going to get my pencils out too! And then blame some phantom child when it looks like a dog's breakfast Blush

Yakadee · 19/12/2018 20:47

Anyone else suddenly feel huge? I've had a few people tell me that my bump is 'coming along nicely' this week so I obviously do look bigger. Starting to feel very pregnant!! X

AliceRR · 19/12/2018 20:59

I feel like I have quite a big bump yakadee. It seems to be much bigger one day to the next but I see it as a good thing baby is growing!

I do have my struggles of course like sleeping and PGP and I’m a bit constipated currently (sorry TMI!)

On another note I just feel a bit stressed and overwhelmed. We were due to move soon but had to pull out of the purchase (following structural survey). DH and I agreed we’d still sell as I found some really nice properties to rent in the area we want to move to but today was told they’ve been let (not sure I believe it as we only applied two days ago!) and anyway everything just feels a bit overwhelming now. We either need to find somewhere to rent quickly (I’m picky!) or pull out of the sale which feels like the efforts to move over the last few months would be wasted.

Then DH and I are arguing, probably due to the stress, and work is stressful.

Sorry I’m ranting. Maybe I just need an early night!

Yakadee · 19/12/2018 21:42

@AliceRR - that sounds so tough! It's awful when you have your heart set on something and it falls through. I'm sure you'll get it sorted though. An early night sounds like a good idea, everything always seems better when you've slept on it xx

AliceRR · 19/12/2018 21:59

@Yakadee Yes I think so. Cue more arguments before bed as were both exhausted! I’m sure it will work out (hopefully) xx

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 19/12/2018 22:10

@welshweasel that’s my birthday! A good day to be born 😉

Does make for one of the most disappointing birthdays ever mind... everyone’s always skint or sober so they don’t want to celebrate, and you get sale stuff as presents 🤷🏻‍♀️

Notquiteagandt · 19/12/2018 22:40

@Yakadee a dr told me the other day I was blooming and my bump was coming along nicely. What a lovely polite way to say "bloody hell you've doubled in size since I have seen you last 😂

@AliceRR no advise other than have a sugary tea and some self love. Things will seem better in morning im sure Flowers

Is anyone else really struggling with being out of breath? Takes me so long to catch it after climbing stairs or bending over. And people out and about keep commenting on it. Making me self concious as I have always been so fit.

Celebelly · 19/12/2018 22:43

DP came out of his office concerned earlier because he could hear heavy breathing. Literally just me walking up the stairs BlushBlushBlush

After sailing through pregnancy up till now, in the last few days I've gone from being completely mobile with no issues to being so sore and immobile by bedtime. My back is killing me by about 7pm 😭😭😭 and I'm just so uncomfy in the evenings.

Notquiteagandt · 19/12/2018 22:49

@Celebelly glad not just me. Feel like you can hear me coming. Figure im only 5ft2 so not alot of room left inside. My poor lungs must be so squished.

Some guy said to me the other day "ooh gym membership for you for your new years resolution" wasnt sure if he was being sarcastic or obliviously to my huge stomach 😂

Celebelly · 19/12/2018 22:52

At my midwife appointment today she was checking baby's position and said 'Ooh you must be uncomfy!'. Apparently baby's bum is wedged right up under my ribs dead in the middle, which explains why I'm so short of breath, particularly when lying down too. I thought that was the case as I can see her bum sticking out from time to time!

Surprisedmom · 19/12/2018 23:04

@Notquiteagandt you are definitely not alone in the out of breath category. My cat decided to go nuts running around the house (up and down stairs, behind curtains etc.). I didn’t run at all but I got so out of breath trying to catch her and put her in the kitchen so she didn’t keep me up all night.

Lulabell1 · 19/12/2018 23:25

@notquiteagandt Im a fellow “5ft2-er” and im finding it very squashed now. Everytime I get in my car I feel really sick think its where im sitting down and squashingg everything! But I do have to say since the 32 mark I feel awfully uncomfortable lots of pressure and im so tired I really shouldnt be working but I just want to go up until my original maternity date which is only 10th jan so not too long.

hayley013 · 20/12/2018 06:21

I'm so uncomfortable, my bump goes huge on an evening. 2 nights of around 4 hours sleep now has got me feeling sick, need to finish up Christmas shopping today and hopefully squeeze a nap in

Yakadee · 20/12/2018 06:28

Another one here feeling uncomfortable - I'm 5ft8 though! It's defo worse when I'm at work and sat at my desk all day, feel very squished and back kills by the end of the day. Only half day left at work now (although working from home so won't be as uncomfortable) before Christmas break - I cannot wait!! X

twiglet · 20/12/2018 07:47

Yes back is killing me. I'm taking a hot water bottle (not filled from the kettle) to place against my back at night. It seems to help quite a lot!

2 days left of work then finished for 2 weeks Smile

AliceRR · 20/12/2018 08:08

@notquiteagandt Thanks, yes I feel a bit better today but arguing with DH always leaves me feeling like I have a bit of a cloud over my head.

Haven’t slept well again. Seem to wake up between 3-4am as a rule and then struggle to get back to sleep.

I’m out of breath a lot too. I feel so unfit!

Yakadee · 20/12/2018 08:24

Can I ask you all a random question please. As you know, my son has just got over a sickness bug (Yay). He's due to start nursery for one day a week on 4th Jan. I'd planned a taster session (his second one) in for tomorrow for him to go for 2 hours over lunch time. My question is, do I send him? I'm paranoid he'll pick something up and he'll be ill again for Christmas. I'm worried that if he doesn't go, that's it - he'll be starting a full day on the 4th. Then on the other hand, really want him to avoid getting ill again for Christmas as we have loads planned (plus it's awful).

What do I do? I know bugs are around all over the place and that if you're going to get it, you will. I know I might be probably being daft but want to avoid illness where I can! Xxx

bubblybrit · 20/12/2018 08:34

That’s the same position my little one is in @Celebelly! I can’t wait to get home from work in the evenings as my bra comes off right away which seems to provide a little relief at least!

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 20/12/2018 08:49

@Yakadee send him. The taster sessions are really important and will make starting easier and there isn't really any time left to reschedule it.

Yakadee · 20/12/2018 08:50

@Thesnobbymiddleclassone - I know, that's what I'm thinking. I wouldn't even be considering it if he wasn't super confident. I think it's for the best I'm just paranoid x

sickmumma · 20/12/2018 08:54

I have also had breathlessness! Doesn't help I've also come down with a horrible cold, DH asked me why I was breathing so heavily sat on the sofa the other day I was like literally I can't breathe, I got a bit worried the other night as I was struggling and had to get up out of bed and have a bath. I am really suffering with heartburn/indigestion too so I've been having rennies and that helps a lot! Still managing to sleep through as I am so shattered by the end of the day which makes me feel refreshed in the mornings but again morning sickness is also back so feeling a bit sorry for myself! I have finished work for Christmas now though so have a couple of weeks off and the finish 3rd week in Jan so only really another couple of weeks to go!

Think this baby is sitting high up too which is probably why I can't breathe as I am still fitting in my normal jeans somehow (although not the high waist ones!)! I brought myself some maternity ones from h and m so I am prepared and have a few more pairs as I didn't have many non high waisted ones wearing them today and they are already falling down!! Ahh! My bump however is quite big and my belly pokes out all of my t shirts so I've brought a few vest tops to go under jumpers etc!

emalady · 20/12/2018 08:54

@notquiteadandt I'm also very short of breath, was stopping me sleeping and I was getting a bit worried, she referred me to the hospital and I'm on blood thinning injections until today when I have a lung scan and echo to check there is no clot making me so short of breath. Never been so excited to be told I'm just fat and unfit!! It's pretty rubbish and missing the last day at one of my jobs for the tests.
