@emalady. I have confirmed clots since 18 weeks and they are exhausting! It's triggered off my asthma terribly and now I'm only at 40% lung capacity! I'm very out of breath, I'm actually using a wheelchair to get about 😢. I hope it turns out ok for you. I hate the jabs! I have 4 a day 😮 My tummy is bruised.

emalady · 20/12/2018 10:51

@lookingatthestars89 that is a lot to be coping with, I hadn't realised how much the injections sting. I was told to do it in thighs and upper arms rather than tummy but I think that might sting more!! Rubbish you are in a wheelchair.

babyp160 · 20/12/2018 11:05

Anyone with pelvic girdle pain had their physio?

Mine isn't until 4 weeks before my due date. It's a group one, as grateful as I am I need it now really.

Any tips?

Also do you get crutches etc?

We're away over new year in a centre parks type place and I'm dreading the walking.

Since2016 · 20/12/2018 11:55

I’m about to go into my physio appt so will report back - mine is back pain rather than pelvic although it’s probably linked!

I’m also v short of breath. Mine is probably being worsened by asthma and my lingering cold. Can’t stop coughing!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 20/12/2018 12:12

@emalady. Arms? How odd. I was told better absorption in tummy. I started off with thighs but they got fatty lumps in so had to stop. When is your scan? Is it a VQ?

Fredthespider · 20/12/2018 12:14

@babyp160 I went to a group session a few months ago and tbh they didn't give me any information that I hadn't already read online. Key points were good posture, no slouching, no crossing your legs (this made a huge difference for me).

Sleeping they suggested folding a duvet and putting it under your sheet so it's a softer surface, sleeping on your side with a pillow between your legs making sure it supports both knees and ankles (otherwise your ankles will hang and then they start hurting).

No-one got crutches or support belts (only useful if you are stood up/walking lots - no good when your sat down).

Using a birth ball, and doing pelvic floor exercises to strengthen the area helps too.

When I went to center parcs I got the land train as much as I could, and I know if you're going to bluestone they let you hire golf buggies and I'd do that so you don't overdo it. Enjoy it anyway :)

lanalawr · 20/12/2018 12:52

@babyp160 if it's bluestone you're going to and don't want to get a golf buggy they've also got a land train but it only runs between the village and pool/activity centre.

Yakadee if it's been 48 hours I would send him, but I know how you feel about the paranoia. I kept DS out of nursery the day he was due in before Christmas, as we'd missed Christmas Day the previous year due to me being in labour (DS' birthday is Boxing Day) and I was so paranoid he would pick something up.

lookingatthestars89 I'm so sorry you're suffering so much Sad

maxiflump1 · 20/12/2018 14:05

@LookingAtTheStars89 sorry to hear you've been suffering so much. Sounds horrible. I'm another blood thinning injector and I was told to do it in the stomach too.

@emalady how did your scan go?

I'm another one who's suffering breathlessness when walking. Iron tablets are also making both my constipation and indigestion worse so constantly feeling uncomfortable. Plus babies movements have become so strong it sometimes makes me catch my breath. It's a good job it's all worth it in the end!!!

@LookingAtTheStars89 oh you poor thing. They are stingey those injections. I have been given them. But mine where in my bum cheek. Somewhere with a bit of fat. Although I imagine near on impossible to inject there yourself.

So I am moaning again. Lighting crotch/dagger fanny whatever you call it. I usually get this for bursts of around 10 seconds then it goes.

But this has been the same pain relentless with no get up and constant pain since about 4 this morning. Enough to make my eyes water.

I am ashuming she is just lying on a nerve. But god this is painful!

Has anyone else had this? & how did you get rid of it? I am ashuming she just needs to move positions but I am at a loss on how to do this.

Alicejj8x · 20/12/2018 16:12

31 weeks today.. all of my apps are saying I will experience frequent urination. Now the whole pregnancy I haven’t even really had the whole ‘I need to wee every 2 mins’ kind of pregnancy .. is this normal? I no some preg people who are constantly weeing I don’t get up hardly in the night for a wee.. now I’m worrying I should be 😕

Fredthespider · 20/12/2018 16:32

@maxiflump1 I started doubling up on the sachets to keep me moving about a month ago! So glamorous. I definitely can't miss a day any more :(

AliceRR · 20/12/2018 16:41

I walked to the shops at lunch time (about 10 min walk from my office) and was out about an hour an a half. I am so tired and uncomfortable this afternoon!

I have provisionally said my last day will be 25 Jan but I’m going to reassess when back at work in Jan as I might feel like going sooner. Everything is tiring!

Puggles123 · 20/12/2018 16:49

Bit late to the party but due Feb 26th :)

Yakadee · 20/12/2018 17:09

@Alicejj8x - I don't know if 'normal' exists in pregnancy as everyone is do different! I've only recently started needed a wee more, but that said it's not as much as I hear others. I think it must be baby's position for me. I tend to get up once or twice in the night, but I don't think it would be as much if I wasn't already awake. (I'm the kind of person that can talk myself into needed a wee / feel cold etc etc lol) x

AliceRR · 20/12/2018 17:12

I don’t need to owe that much more either. I occasionally get an urge which feels like I’ve been kicked in the bladder but generally I don’t pee that much more often

Alicejj8x · 20/12/2018 17:13

@Yakadee
Ahhh yeah I get what you mean..
a few people I've spoken too said they haven't ever had increased need to wee but I just think oh god should I be weeing more but I do think like you say everyone is diff aren't they xxp

Yakadee · 20/12/2018 17:17

@Alicejj8x - definitely! There's loads of stuff I feel really lucky for that I don't really get and other poor people suffer loads! Like heartburn, I've had a bit but not much. Sickness stopped around 12 weeks. Leaky boobs lol x

Fredthespider · 20/12/2018 17:19

Welcome @Puggles123! Hope you've had an easy ride this far :)

Celebelly · 20/12/2018 17:48

I got up five times to pee last night, so I think I'm peeing enough for some of you ladies too Sad

Alicejj8x · 20/12/2018 17:52

@Yakadee
Ahh yeah I get what you mean

Heart burn has been the one thing that I wish I never got it's more the acid it's awful I can't wait for that to go! Ive got leaky boobs occasionally ahaha lol and now feel like my morning sickness is coming back!!

We can do this lol

Since2016 · 20/12/2018 17:55

Physio was good. Agree with points made earlier we also did a full exercise session and have a plan of how to do them - helpful actually as she recommended doing a set each day. There were belts to try on - available through the hospital but only really recommended for ‘true’ pgp rather than back pain.

A long session though! She’s also insisted we each self refer for 1:1 physio - will get an appt in 2-3 weeks as they prioritise pregnant women, and if we feel we don’t need it to just defer for a post natal appt to ensure ongoing support. Also didn’t realise we could signpost to the maternity acupuncture service so may try that if jack continues to be bad.

No 1:1 info though so expect that’s more from a 1:1 appt. I was pleasantly surprised though - a lot I do in yoga anyway but I will try to do more of it as it will all help.

Re weeing- I’ve got a weak bladder anyway but through the night not too bad yet - last time was horrendous by this point! To come I expect!

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/12/2018 18:40

I'm fine in the night wee'ing wise too, haven't had to get up once! I can't remember when it started last time, I think probably closer to the end! Midwife appt today and I'm measuring 31cm at 31 weeks so bang on. Midwife was so clueless though, said no there's no risk of toxioplasmosis from rare steak, then looked it up and and said oh yes sorry there is! Yeah I know I've already told you. So she's going to ring me tomorrow apparently after speaking to the hospital, to see if I need a blood test. I don't actually expect to hear from her though, my surgery is rubbish...

emalady · 20/12/2018 19:09

@maxiflump1 @lookingatthestars89 I just had the perfusion scan (can't remember if that is the V or the Q) and echo today both of which were fine so I get to stop the injections. I think they were saying pregnant women don't like stabbing themselves in the belly so thigh /arms works as long as it's going into fat. Really glad I get to stop now. Not as happy about the outcome, obviously it's great there is nothing life threatening but I wish there was a way of easing the shortness of breath! Hopefully she will engage more soon and drop a bit.

twiglet · 20/12/2018 20:11

Has anyone started doing strange things? I think I've started nesting seem to want to clean everything...... Did the windows last night, tonight was vacuuming everywhere. Its bugging me that I need to sort out my dining room but it has to wait for DH to sort out some boxes. I'm not usually a cleaning obsessive..... It's freaking DH out slightly!
