@pickupthephone I’ve had to tell work already due to the nature of my job ( I work with vulnerable children) who have a tendency to throw things and kick and sometimes need restraining so I had no choice just incase!

Not telling anyone else yet!xx

Ugh. Currently have a dead mouse in my dinning room that the dog decided to bring in. It's taken 20 minutes to get the dog away from it. Then he gave DS the chew I'd given him as an exchange for the dead mouse, so he had a mouthful of it by the time I realised.

I phoned DH, he was on the toilet. Said he'd be home in 40 minutes and I was to leave it alone. Helpful. Grrrrrrr.

I really hope the thing is actually dead and not faking!

MrsC87 · 19/11/2018 17:24

Evening all, anyone feel very wet down there? Literally I just thought I'd wet myself or I was going to find blood when I went to the toilet, thankfully it's just very wet CM. I even had a panty liner on and it's soaked through that to my pants 😫

DartmoorDoughnut · 19/11/2018 17:31

@MrsC87 totally not just you!

DartmoorDoughnut · 19/11/2018 17:34

Oh god I am SO tired and I do not want to adult any more! DH has a colleague coming over for dinner tonight, she’s staying as they’re off to a meeting tomorrow AM and I just want to get into my pjs and go to bed with the boys Blush

Delilah7 · 19/11/2018 17:44

Hi ladies. Can I join again please? X

DartmoorDoughnut · 19/11/2018 17:49

@Delilah7 I’m sure I remember you from the TTC boards! Congratulations Grin

Delilah7 · 19/11/2018 17:52

@DartmoorDoughnut I certainly remember you!! Have any of you had any rib pain at all? Goes on and off again! I have my second early scan on 29th and midwife appointment 30th! X

StargazyDrifter · 19/11/2018 18:11

Sooo.... news at last. A HEARTBEAT! This is the first time we've seen one (4th pregnancy) and it was such a curious and lovely thing to watch. I've been put back 2 days - so I'm 6w5d not 7w0d like I had thought. And that means back by a full week from LMP, but I had already factored in the irregular cycles and counted from ovulation. So for all those worrying about possible late implantation bleeds - it's far from an exact science, date wise. Can't remember the measurements but all ok and heartbeat 138bpm.

DH and I are delighted and also trying not to get our hopes up too much just yet, but it's hard not to. Felt guilty for asking the med student to step out, but I was so worried and didn't want more people around for yet another sad story. I usually try and be as helpful as I can to them. Then went to a fairly high stakes meeting for what I do and all I could think of was I have two heartbeats inside me right now. I don't think that was my best meeting.

Hchy could it be corpus luteum pain? Is it low down and only on one side, the side you ov'd on (if known)?

5fivestar deinitely doesn't sound like it's over, bleeds are more common that we think, scary though they are.

Delilah welcome back! 👋

Capybaras · 19/11/2018 18:13

Hi all!

So so sorry to those who have had losses and to those who are in limbo - I really hope everything turns out well for you!

@mrsc87 I am totally with you on that one - constantly wet knickers (lovely!) and even had some EWCM earlier which was odd!

I’m having to get into pjs as soon as I get home from work - my bloating is unreal! I’ve already bought some maternity trackies for slobbing around the house and some topshop Joni under the bump jeans which feel mega comfy!

Delilah7 · 19/11/2018 18:32

@StargazyDrifter how bloody exciting!!!!! I have my other scan on 29th so hoping I'll see one to xx

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 19/11/2018 18:40

That's great news @StargazyDrifter! you must be over the moon.

Barker26 · 19/11/2018 18:42

Just marking my place on the new thread ! 8 weeks tomorrow and I think the nausea is starting... felt quite sick all day today :( I am also hoping to lose a little bit of weight in first trimester as I'm not sure what our hospital policy is in regards to BMI.. I am attending slimming world in the hope I won't put too much on over the whole pregnancy! I think matalan have a maternity section? They seem to have upped their game recently!

HchyScott · 19/11/2018 18:44

@Stargazydrifter fab news for you!!
I have no idea what that is lol but funny you should mention it, it’s the same pain I was experiencing the weekend I was supposed to be ovulating?

Belmo · 19/11/2018 19:06

That’s lovely @StargazerDrifter

Buggles1 · 19/11/2018 19:17

I’ve also been struggling to keep up with the pace of conversation and feel slightly anxious reading everyone’s stories. Very much feeling for those who have lost or are struggling. Will be great to get to that magic 12 week mark. Although I don’t think I’ll stop stressing then... just move on to the next thing to be anxious about. It would be so nice to just enjoy the miracle happening inside us ay!

Anyone else getting the strange cravings yet? I almost made DH sick yesterday cause I was eating cheesy coleslaw straight from the tub while drinking hot chocolate Confused

StargazyDrifter · 19/11/2018 19:18

HchyScott the doc who scanned me today explained it. Basically until the placenta is formed there is a bunch of cells that forms near where you ovulated from to feed the growing embryo. It's called the corpus luteum. When the placenta eventually forms and takes over the corpus luteum somehow dies away (I think she said around 12 weeks?) but until then it sits there pumping out good stuff but causing a bit of plain, sometimes sharp, sometimes dull. That's my v un-scientific understanding of it! Came up because I asked if it could possibly be twins and one ectopic because of the occasional pain always in the same place. Could be that?

StargazyDrifter · 19/11/2018 19:18

And thank you everyone. 😊

StargazyDrifter · 19/11/2018 19:22

Whoever said about onion crisps and Edam earlier made me giggle. Buggles1 your one is definitely up there with the odd ones! I could pick anything for lunch in the canteen earlier and settled on salt and vinegar crisps and a banana- at the same time. My colleague looked a bit horrified but it was tasty!

5fivestar · 19/11/2018 19:31

It’s definitely all over for me, give those babies a squeeze when they arrive x

HchyScott · 19/11/2018 19:31

@StargazyDrifter thanks so much for explaining, I’ll happily take that to quieten my anxiety for now and mention it to the midwife next week. it sounds like it could be plausible! It’s not painful enough to go back to the dr but just there most of the time if you know what I mean. If I’m busy, I don’t think about it but as soon as I have a quiet moment I focus on it!

HchyScott · 19/11/2018 19:32

@5fivestar so sorry to hear that, I had everything crossed for you. take care of yourself, sending love x

StargazyDrifter · 19/11/2018 19:36

HchyScott that's exactly what mine is like. Basically very common apparently.

Laburna · 19/11/2018 19:38

I'm so sorry @5fivestar be kind to yourself and take it easy 💜

I'm currently living off salt and vinegar crisps, it's the only thing I can stomach with the nausea at times.

HchyScott · 19/11/2018 19:56

@StargazyDrifter thanks so much Hun, you’ve helped calm down a very nervous first timer lol!
