Starting a new thread as we near the 1000 comment mark on the Part 2 one!

It is nearly December and I am sure all we want for Xmas are healthy pregnancies and babies Star

Good luck to everyone still here and so sorry for how many we have already lost on the way Flowers

@TwittleBee chocolate is all I fancy too! Weird. 😝

MrsC87 · 27/11/2018 12:16

Hey ladies, I'm struggling at the moment with bad anxiety, I just keep worrying when I get to my early scan there won't be a heartbeat. Nothing to point towards that as this is my first pregnancy. No bleeding or pain etc. I just can't get the thought out of my head. My symptoms have slowed down since I first found out and although I'm tired I can't get to sleep at night worrying.
Do you ladies have any advice? My reassurance scan is on 16th Dec and I'll be 9 weeks then x

Frazzlerock · 27/11/2018 12:30

Hi @MrsC87 I've no advice as I'm the same but just wanted to offer you some solidarity. Are you in touch with your midwives yet? I can call mine when feeling particularly angsty. They've been great so far.

MyloC · 27/11/2018 12:38

@MrsC87 I have no words of reassurance except I feel exactly the same. No bleeding or anything but also minimal symptoms. My reassurance scan is 11th dec but I am just expecting to see nothing Confused
I actually private messaged you a week or so ago because hadn’t seen your name much. Not sure if you got it.

SnailorSwift · 27/11/2018 12:43

I am an absolute mess today in work I've cried about 5 times. Avoiding everyone because I can't manage even basic interactions without bawling.
Went for my blood test to check for immunity to slapped cheek this morning, being super careful with hand hygiene and avoiding contact with any children I know are infectious. But I literally am so anxious I can barely function.

Feel for you @RooKangaroo hope work have been understanding.

@MrsC87 any chance you can get your scan moved forward if it would help?

MakeAWhish · 27/11/2018 12:46

@SnailorSwift do you work in a school? I work in a primary school and feel exactly the same. I'm on reduced hours at the moment because I've herniated a disc in my back, but when I go in I feel tearful and panicky 😱

MrsC87 · 27/11/2018 12:51

@MyloC I didn't see that message? I'm using the iPhone app, how do I get those? How are you?

Thanks ladies, it's nice to not feel alone.
I think because I had to tell work due to midwife appointments, it feels real, and then the feeling of telling them if there is no heartbeat is so scary. I've got a midwife appointment on Friday.

I may just do that and move it forward @SnailorSwift!

Cam symptoms lessen and everything be okay? I do get nausea at times but I'm sure it's anxiety.

The best of it is, I really know I need to relax but can't get the thought out of my head.

TheScaredyKat · 27/11/2018 12:56

Cheese and onion quiche for me, luckily no actual sickness. But acid reflux and sicky burps constantly.
Disaster for breakfast this morning- the milk was off and I didn't notice until I put it in my porridge and started cooking it. Almost vomed in the kitchen sink at the sight of it all half cooked and split and lumpy!! Sorry if I've just made anyone feel even more sick!

I stopped at bakery on the way to work and got a much less healthy breakfast instead.

SnailorSwift · 27/11/2018 13:04

Yes @MakeAWhish I'm in a school and slapped cheek has been doing the rounds. I'm keeping my contact with the kids minimal (I'm a therapist not a teacher) but it's really getting to me today.

@MrsC87 worth doing if it will ease your mind a bit 💕

DianaBlythe · 27/11/2018 13:16

I’ve been lucky that the sickness has been mostly mornings. My 40 mile motorway commute has not been fun though. Vomiting in the car on a daily basis. It was just mouthfuls I could catch in a tea towel last week but 2 large volume vomits yesterday all down myself so turned up at work covered in vomit. Lovely. Borrowed some scrubs and said I’d had a coffee related incident (which I sort of had!) Don’t think I can use that one again now though! Must put spare clothes back in car.

Have phoned GP who is going to do me a script for cyclizine. I had been going to hold off, I’ve not been that distressed by it and actually find it oddly comforting to have symptoms, however perhaps it is getting a bit ridiculous!

ReginaPhalange89 · 27/11/2018 13:23

Hi ladies !

Trying to catch up with comments 🙈 think we need another new thread soon! Lol. I kind of keep forgetting to check in, I actually keep forgetting that I'm even pregnant 🙈 I've known for almost 2 weeks now but I still have no symptoms other than lots of gas 🙈 and cramps/stomach ache now and then (only 5+1 though) .

I can't remember who mentioned work being dicks... But I'm pretty sure there's nothing they can do about you being off with pregnancy related sickness. Only towards the end they can force you to start mat leave early ! So fuck them and take some time to rest and don't feel bad about it !

ReginaPhalange89 · 27/11/2018 13:25

@dianablythe god vomiting in the car is not good 🙈

Does anyone else not work ? We decided it was better for me not to go back after my last mat leave (DD is now 20 months old!) It wasn't worth it financially with childcare costs etc so I've been at home with the kids since. Probably going to be really grateful for that when the sickness does start ! I worked in dentistry and it was awful with morning sickness last time 😷

edidxb · 27/11/2018 13:28

Hi all. Gosh, some of the morning sickness sounds truly horrific. I am so sorry for those who are suffering so badly. I go from no nausea to mild nausea, which like everyone else in the same boat as me I find worrying, but equally I am pleased I am not being sick every hour.

@MrsC87 - I am also in the same situation of being massively worried and anxious. I have my scan on Thursday morning to see if there has been growth/still a heartbeat etc and I think I have done pretty well over the last week and a half but it has been tough.

@Frazzlerock - good luck for your scan tomorrow. I am thinking of you, and know how tough it is going to be going into the appointment. We are all sending positive thoughts on this board.

@TheScareyKat - I don't have much nausea but you have really made me feel ill - sounds horrendous!

@MyloC - there are so many of us in the same situation and it's great to see people supporting everyone.

@itsallgreek - I hope you got your apartment!

I have another late night at work today. I start work at 7am and usually finish about 5pm but today it's a 7pm finish so a 12 hour day plus my commute either side and I've got lots of stuff to do when I get home.

I do find myself having moments where I wonder how I will manage with a child, but then I feel awful as I want one so much and of course I will cope and make adjustments as that is what everyone does!!

Twistering · 27/11/2018 13:36

Pathetic really that I wish I felt sick! Must be awful! Sitting waiting for midwife feeling like total fraud as boobs not even hurting anymore. Glad/scared I’ve got weekly scan in morning!

ohmybaby · 27/11/2018 13:55

Just wanted to give everyone a hug and a wave 👋🏻 I’m taking some time away until my 12 week scan (likely just after Christmas, currently 8+2), been suffering badly with nausea and fatigue and as much as I want to offer advice and sisterly comfort, I’ve been finding reading more anxiety-inducing than comforting Blush selfishly I have to put my own mental health first right now... in the meantime, I want to wish you all a healthy pregnancy until we hit that second trimester where hopefully I’ll be back with a... bump!

Take care you lovely lot and try not to worry too much. Today you are pregnant. Chin up out there. xx

Essexgirlupnorth · 27/11/2018 14:37

Finally got a date for my booking appointment 21st December will be 10 weeks. Been trying to get referred to the hospital I had my daughter at but because I have moved and I am out of area it is very difficult. Just hope I get my scan through in time to have my NT done

Twistering · 27/11/2018 14:50

Just throwing it out there that midwife said you can have THREE cups of full strength tea not just two. I might go wild and have another later!

Frazzlerock · 27/11/2018 15:01

@ohmybaby completely understand! Hope to see you soon Smile

GiGi18 · 27/11/2018 15:07

@Twistering yeah three teas or two cups of instant coffee! I've totally gone off coffee this week, heartbreaking! 😭 mornings just don't feel the same without it and the afternoon slump is extra slumpy. I don't even like normal tea so I've moved onto green tea with mint which I can stomach.

Laburna · 27/11/2018 15:45

Tea's making me sick, can't cope with coffee.

Pregnancy is cruel! 😭😭

MakeAWhish · 27/11/2018 15:56

Who likes tomato juice? This is so yum and got loads of veg in it 🙌🏼

July 2019 Part 3 - Still in the 1st Trimester!
Frazzlerock · 27/11/2018 16:01

ooh I love tom juice! Does it taste of the other veggies though?

BettySwoll0cks · 27/11/2018 16:14

I love this thread - I've rediscovered Dr Karg's crackers and now v8, it's sooooo good! As long as it's really cold...

It has a little hint of celery in there too @Frazzlerock, it's delish.

TheScaredyKat · 27/11/2018 16:18

@twistering I'm not sure I could have three "cups" of tea, my mug at work is like a small cauldron so trying to stick to one "cup." 😂

MakeAWhish · 27/11/2018 16:36

@Frazzlerock I can only taste the tomato! I'm not keen at all on celery. It can't taste it in this juice.
Yes, really really cold! I could drink a whole carton in a one-r
