Starting a new thread as we near the 1000 comment mark on the Part 2 one!

It is nearly December and I am sure all we want for Xmas are healthy pregnancies and babies Star

Good luck to everyone still here and so sorry for how many we have already lost on the way Flowers

Here is a new, editable, link for the google Doc Register:

You're not going crazy @TwittleBee! Someone on here said ages back, remember that at this point our babies are measured in millimetres - imagine if we all had to draw a line x millimetres long, we'd all be out. I know sonographers are all trained etc, but your baby is still so small at this point, all it takes is for them to be on a slightly different angle and they can measure days out. Keep up with positive thinking xx

Frazzlerock · 26/11/2018 13:05

@TwittleBee it's just so hard to know what to think isn't it.

My 2 weeks discrepancy freaked me out terribly! I though that was it! But people keep saying that seeing a heartbeat is positive news and to ignore the measurements at this stage.
For a 2 day discrepancy, I'd like to say you have nothing to worry about and that the baby was too small for a heartbeat. My first scan, I thought I was 6+7 and expected to see a heartbeat at that stage, but was measured at 6+3 and was told that no heartbeat can really be seen until at least 7 weeks (though obviously there are exceptions to that rule as we know from this group). Sit tight and try hard to be positive xx

AIDE2424 · 26/11/2018 13:11

Isn’t pregnancy worrying? I can’t believe the stress others and I have been through already in the first few weeks, I’m out of hospital now and having more bloods done Wednesday to check my HCG and then a scan at 9.15 in Friday I’ve already had two scans one Friday and one Wednesday and neither showed a pregnancy however my HCG was less then 1000 at this point, so hoping by Friday they will be able to see something and confirm the baby is in my womb and not tubes 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Until then I’m going to catch up on sleep! Hope everyone else who has had worry’s are okay! xx

TwittleBee · 26/11/2018 13:15

Thank you everyone, I am going to take my own advice I was dishing out at start of this thread to everyone with scan and date worries and remember it is measured in millimetres and try to ignore what that sonographer told me about it not looking likely to continue!

AIDE2424 hope that the scan flies round for you and that it is all positive!

Scan shows a healthy baby with a heartbeat baby’s 20mm so that’s 8.5 days so forward a few days so excited now

Frazzlerock · 26/11/2018 13:25

@TwittleBee good to hear.

@Jojobunny that's lovely news!

Brainfried1986 · 26/11/2018 13:29

Great news Jojobunny! 😁

hayleyfx · 26/11/2018 14:46

@Jojobunny fantastic news!! Grin

@Twittlebee I think you’re right - early pregnancy is so uncertain as it is, scans can be very innacurate for dating etc at this early stage so I wouldn’t worry about the dates being out! They’re also not out by much. Will be keeping everything crossed for you. Easier said than done but try to relax 😊

My first midwife appointment went fine, next one is 17th December and my scan should be in about a week. So nervous!
Had a very awkward moment when I was sitting in the doctors waiting room and my mum’s best friend walked in! I lied and said I was having a check up after my last loss but then the screen loudly announced “Hayley... for the midwife” I just got out of there quickly and hoped she doesn’t say anything! I really don’t want anyone to know yet. If this pregnancy goes well and continues, fingers crossed, then I would love to announce to our families on Christmas Day! Don’t want that spoiled haha I love announcements 😂

TwittleBee · 26/11/2018 16:11

Thank you everyone for your comforting words!

Jojobunny aww how lovely! Such great news

hayleyfx oh bless you! Hopefully she won't say anything, I think most people are rather respectful.

Btw, I know a few of us were talking about struggling with the bloat and I have been wearing what has to be the most comfy work trousers today! they are from New Look, grabbed them in the sale, they have an elasticated waist to them and I got them in next size up. Feel so good and haven't felt restricted at all (despite having pasta for lunch!) So I recommend others keep eye our for the elastic banded trousers!

Finally got my booking appt but not until 12/12 so guessing scan will be in NY - as it should be as I won’t be 12 weeks until 10/1 but still! Had lots of energy today and don’t feel sick so worrying, pregnancy is such fun!

Laburna · 26/11/2018 18:06

I've discovered, if I start eating as soon as I finish eating, the sickness isn't so bad.

I'm going to be a whale by Christmas!

StargazyDrifter · 26/11/2018 18:16

Laburna 😂😂😂

Lovely news, AIDE2424, everything crossed for your scan. And yours TwittleBee.

Kentishgirl that is absolutely dreadful about the woman in the shop and her comments! I really hate that kind of thoughtless and labelling. It makes me so cross whenever I hear it. Sounds like you dealt with it well. Karma will do the rest. 😉

I started taking Cyclizine today for nausea and sickness and it didn't not agree with me AT ALL. Left me more sleepy than 'normal' at the moment, and I had a 3 hour sleep on the sofa despite having rested up all weekend in preparation for a busy work week. It wasn't like normal nap either but that kind of groggy overwhelming sleepiness you can't fight. I don't think I'll be touching it again unless I can't keep things down over a few days. At least I know now. Day a complete write off, feeling super guilty.

Feeling quite frustrated with it all today, especially if it might all be doomed anyway, and if it isn't it just feels like such a long slog. Hormones, I'm sure. ☹️

Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 18:17

Great news @jojobunny and @Aide2424!!

Welcome to the newcomers and congratulations!

First day back at work today and it was hard keeping it in with what my job entails. I’d rather wait until we’ve had the early scan though.

Still no symptoms other than bloating and very tender boobs! X

Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 18:18

@twitterbee you’re not over analysing, what you and others are saying about measurement differences is so true! X

whyohwhypart2 · 26/11/2018 18:26

Just caught up with all these messages and sending lots of love to everyone tonight, pregnancy is definitely not a barrel of laughs and pretty scary! I hope everyone is doing
OK and keeping positive

I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow after being off for two weeks, I have ZERO energy, none at all, it's all gone! Got really upset today as that and the constant feeling sick and trapped wind with bloating is beginning to get to me. I can't stop gagging/heaving and all I want to eat is ice cream :(

Anyone else struggling with their symptoms?

TwinkleDay · 26/11/2018 18:28

@hayleyfx that is really funny though I hope mums friend doesn’t tell anyone lol! Like a comedy sketch!

I keep being asked my DPs family’ so you want clothes for Xmas ? What size are you?’ Ffs I told them gift card! Don’t dress me people in inflating!

Come on Friday, I have my 1st midwife appointment then 9am :D ... will they be able to confirm everything will be ok then. I will be 9 + 6 then hopefully and still not seen ickle baba. Just seems like a strange waste of time if things aren’t ok ? If you see what I mean.

Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 18:33

At how many weeks did people’s tiredness kick in? X

GiGi18 · 26/11/2018 18:42

Just got a letter that I'm due my smear test! Does anyone know if they still do them during pregnancy? I hope not, usually get a bit of bleeding after which I'm sure would freak me out 😮

Laburna · 26/11/2018 18:53

No, @gigi18 they'll do it after the baby is born. I had mine 3 months after, but I think that was quite early for some areas.

GiGi18 · 26/11/2018 19:01

Thanks @laburna that's good news! I'll give them a call tomorrow

jaykaydee · 26/11/2018 19:11

Glad to hear some nore positive days today.

I can't seem to feel hungry at the moment. I'm not feeling sick at all, just don't fancy eating. Been having weird pulling type pains as well that I don't remember having this early with DD. It was worse this evening and I really struggled on the way home, it took a few stops to get a seat rather than the one it normally takes and I didn't feel comfortable asking for one.

No real discussions about names here yet. I guess for girls we've still got the sort of long list we had for DD although once she arrived we changed our minds completely. I'm not sure about boys names. I work in a school so names are one of the hardest bits for me as I see so many names and have so many associations with them it's hard to find one I want for my own child.

AnnaBegins · 26/11/2018 19:19

Just caught up and oh my gosh ratherbe I'm so sorry! I know you will have your little sticky bean soon.

@pusscous is your family bilingual? I speak French to my DS so always keen for French chat and advice!

My previous 2015 bus was also really supportive. We moved on to facebook fairly quickly (a secret group) which was easier to keep up with.

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 26/11/2018 19:29

Ladies, I'm finding the nausea unbearable. Not been sick but feel so horrendous. How's everyone else feeling?

crakpot1 · 26/11/2018 19:42

@ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts I'm the same it's horrendous :( really getting me down.

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 26/11/2018 19:49

@crakpot1. It's horrible. I can't focus on anything else. Cant get any work done. Feel awful. Having to sit with a bowl, as I constantly feel like I'm going to be sick. Confused
