@AlicePR it's the pressure that's awful. DD turned and moved down quite late in my pregabbcy so this just feels so odd so early

twiglet · 07/12/2018 21:50

Feeling knackered tonight came home early from work Christmas do (which is a lunch thing) decided at 7.30 to sort out the clothes given to us at the weekend (4 Black bags full!!!!)

Over 2 hours later I've just finished sorting into sizes! He isn't going to need anything until at least 14 months! I think if he wears 3 outfits a day he still wouldn't get through it all! Some stuff still had tags on.

Celebelly · 07/12/2018 22:06

Wow that sounds like quite a haul!

I've really no idea how much clothing a baby needs. I've got a bunch of sleepsuits and things for 0-6 months, some in newborn size, some 0-3, some 3-6, so I think we'll just have to play it by ear.

twiglet · 07/12/2018 22:47

Yes when my friend said would you like some clothes I hadn't quite realised how much she meant! The number of unworn items was crazy!

Squashbanana1 · 07/12/2018 23:15

@Lulabell1 we are moving to chessington! I've seen that window to the womb there and had thought about it before, decided against it though.

detachablehoof · 07/12/2018 23:17

I feel some pressure low down too but the midwife said today that the baby is still breech. Hoping (s)he turns in the next few weeks!

Anyone else feel like they have no idea what body part is moving inside them?! I hear other mums saying "oh that was an elbow" or "his foot is stuck behind my ribs" and I literally have no idea what's where, I feel random movements all over the place (but mainly low down) and have no idea whether it's feet / elbows / head etc!

babyp160 · 07/12/2018 23:28

@Lulabell1 we went WTTW too. Had early ones and then 4d. Was brilliant. Our baby was a pickle so we had to go back. Appointment was 7:30pm and they even stayed open a little later to get the pics the second time round. Not the clearest pics but they chucked in a growth scan.

Apparently they 'rush' because you can only have the doppler on your tummy a certain amount of time so have to try and get it all in.

Grumpy lil sausage

Lulabell1 · 07/12/2018 23:54

@squashbanana1 we are in Ashtead only a drive down the road!
@detachablehoof I only know because he is head down and has been since 27 weeks so i no if somethings sticking in my rib its a foot and if something hits my vagina its a hand 😂
@babyp160 isnt it amazing how it works we had a video done too can see him pouting he has big lips like me😂 ohh look at your babies face! Looking very grumpy. X

hayley013 · 08/12/2018 06:00

Saturday morning, wide awake club here. Hate this! Don't know whether to get up or lie here for another hour trying to get back to sleep x

Squashbanana1 · 08/12/2018 07:37

@Lulabell1 oh not far! 👍🏼☺️

I have no idea which limb is where either, half of the time I'm just guessing! I'm definitely feeling pressure low down and not too sure whether it's turning into SPD as it aches 24/7, hurts to lift up 1 leg and get out of the car! Or is this just a normal symptom of pregnancy??

DeliberatelyGinger · 08/12/2018 07:57

@Squashbanana1 sounds like it could be SPD to me. I've got the start of it and it hurts to roll over in bed and to get out of the car and at just random intervals. Hope it doesn't get any worse!

Lookingforadvice123 · 08/12/2018 08:36

Aw cute pics Lulabell1! We had a 4D scan last week and got a few of baby yawning but his legs were in front of his face most of the time so we're going back next Saturday to try again. Quite good service as if they still can't get decent pictures due to position, they refund the difference between a reassurance scan and 4D, so it still means two scans for the price of one!

I have no idea what body parts are moving when, ever! I never did with DS either. This baby was curled up transverse across the bottom at my 28 week appointment, and two days later at my 4D scan he had moved to head down, the midwife I saw at my appt said at this stage they're still changing position all the time. Fairly certain he's transverse at the moment as I keep getting big movements either side in quick succession.

sickmumma · 08/12/2018 09:17

@Lulabell1 @Squashbanana1 I am in Surbiton so not far from you guys either! We should meet up once the babies are here!

I am seriously considering just booking a 4D scan! We had a 16 week scan there and it was a really good experience! There was me, DH the three kids and parents in law piled into the room and we all had enough space and they were really good explaining it all! Saying that even the lady at our 20 week scan at the hospital was really lovely and took her time (being our 4th was half expecting her to rush because they don't seem to think it's as special so many times round!) how many weeks were you at the scan? I am 28 weeks now and was thinking for Xmas but don't know wether to book it in before?

Off to Brighton today to try and get our Xmas shopping done child free! Was mine and DH anniversary yesterday so we will prob go for dinner too! Looking forward to it but a little nervous about all the walking round as I've been struggling the last few days especially as there's lots of hills etc! Will just have to take it easy! Any recommendations of nice little baby shops there please tell...

Yakadee · 08/12/2018 11:38

I am exhausted! Took my 2.5yo son to his first ever 'panto' (toddler friendly - just 30 mins) this morning! He enjoyed it but man it was hard lol. There were puppets (rudolph and a mouse) and he just wanted to go and play with them - can't blame him but obviously be couldn't so was quite stressful. I can't believe how many people have children that will sit still lol 😂😂

Surprisedmom · 08/12/2018 12:01

Loving all the scan pics.

I think starting to take iron just at the start of the third trimester has meant I feel like I have more energy not less, but I really feel for those of you who are exhausted. It may be worth double checking with your midwifes regarding iron too if you’re feeling especially tired as it doesn’t have to be very low at all to make a big difference.

Since2016 · 08/12/2018 12:40

I took DD to see Santa yesterday - I was utterly wrecked by the time we got home and she was up all night coughing. My back is getting worse again 😫 thank god I have the physio appt!

@yakadee I hate to break it to you but my child is one of those! We’re going on the 22nd and we went last year. She’s v good - my mum even took her to see Matilda in the west end over the summer! I think she just ends up mesmerised! She’s not that good usually!!

Yakadee · 08/12/2018 13:45

@Since2016 - you make me sick lol.

He's not a bad kid at all but when there's a rudolph puppet who could blame him for wanting to go and play with it haha. Santa was there and he kept saying 'hi Christmas tree' - was very funny! X

hayley013 · 08/12/2018 16:53

Loving all the 4D scans, it's making me consider one, it's crazy to think my baby will look similar to that inside me now!

I've had such an emotional day today and it's very rare I let anything get to me, cried this afternoon. Midwife called to tell me to call in for a prescription for iron tablets as my haemoglobin is low, not had a chance to go yet, wondering if that's contributing to the emotional state today.

Still really struggling with sleep, can get to sleep fine on an evening but once I wake up, usually 3am-ish, that's me awake for 2-3 hours. Exhausted.

30+1 today and really feel like less than 10 weeks sounds scary! This pregnancy feels like it's passed far quicker than with DD x

AliceRR · 08/12/2018 17:24

I was lifting a box (big but not that heavy) containing air fryer I got for mum and dad for Xmas. Poked myself in the tummy with the corner of it. I felt it. It didn’t really hurt but stomach area is a bit sensitive as I think it’s quite stretched(!) I’m assuming I don’t need to worry about baby if I have no pain or bleeding and she is moving around... 🤔🙄😬

AliceRR · 08/12/2018 17:27

@detachablehoof Yes I’m the same. For the last few weeks I’ve had something poking near my belly button. I thought it must be an elbow or a knee as it seemed pointy but MW and lady who did 4D scan suggested it might be head. Now there is still something in that area but MW said it is more likely to be back / bottom and then said she felt head further down. But I wouldn’t know otherwise whether it’s a hand or a foot or a head. I am curious though

Squashbanana1 · 08/12/2018 18:05

@sickmumma another one nearby!!! Yes!
Xmas party tonight - ohhhhh the start of the "damn I would actually really like a mulled wine season!" At least I don't have to worry about transport! Driving it is :)

hayley013 · 08/12/2018 19:14

I've no idea where baby is lying or what she's attacking me with either haha. She's been transverse at last 2 midwife appointments but then breech at a scan in between those, so she must still be moving, god knows how as I'm feeling really big now. Next scan is Thursday so we'll see there x

hayley013 · 08/12/2018 19:16

@Squashbanana1 we went to the Christmas fayre today and everyone had cups of warm plum wine, I really wanted some x

Yakadee · 08/12/2018 20:24

Baby is head down here and seems like she's side on (I think). Defo in the middle of me and have things sticking out all over the place! X
