@Lulabell1 I missed your earlier message - I really hope you and baby are OK x

emalady · 05/12/2018 21:02

@lulabell1 hope you are doing ok.

@welshshepherdess I've also got a massive food baby as well as the actual baby. Going to be a mission to shift the weight after pregnancy. Not going to worry about it yet though.

I seem to have a bit of spd/sciatica on my left, pain in my bum and inner thigh if I put weight through my left leg, pretty miserable. Getting my physio to look tomorrow hopefully.

Lulabell1 · 05/12/2018 21:07

Really glad to hear you’re ok @Lulabell1. I hope you can rest up now and that baby stays well put.

Lulabell1 · 05/12/2018 21:54

Glad you're ok @Lulabell1 xx

Leonora94 · 06/12/2018 03:51

Is anyone else struggling to sleep? I get up to pee and am wide awake for hours...hence the 4am post 😫

babyp160 · 06/12/2018 06:59

I'm awake ALOT but I have carpal tunnel and my hands are really painful. Usually to roll from my left to right depending which hand it is!!

maxiflump1 · 06/12/2018 08:40

Urgh I've come down with some sort of cold bug. Felt so awful yesterday poor DH had to come home early from work to look after DS so I could go to bed. Still not great this morning but better than I was.

On a plus side my magnesium oil arrived yesterday and after using it last night was the first night in about 3 weeks I haven't woke up with bad cramp. Hope it's not a one off but it seems like a magic cure to me!!

@maxiflump1 this time of year is pants for bugs as it is but 10 times worse for pregnant ladies! Finally over my infection but only a matter of time until another bloody thing.

Hope you feel better soon!

I have my growth scan this afternoon - feeling OK but a little anxious now x

Lookingforadvice123 · 06/12/2018 08:56

Yes without fail I'm awake for a while every single night!

I've had what I thought was three cold viruses in the last month, and it only twigged yesterday that I've actually got sinusitis (has it once two years ago so I remember the symptoms). I've been off work this week as up until now I've been powering through which I don't think has helped me get better. Fingers crossed it goes though, I forgot how boring I find being off sick.

AliceRR · 06/12/2018 09:09

I have trouble sleeping. Last night wasn’t too bad. I woke up but went back to sleep. The night before that, I woke up at about 3 / 3:30 AM and and felt like I was awake for HOURS. Not long ago I had that every night for four or five nights and I was so grumpy and work was so difficult! 🙈

I get pain in my hips too and then have to move onto my other side. And repeat.

Celebelly · 06/12/2018 09:11

Hope your scan goes ok @Yakadee

I'm petrified of getting a cold! My DP said he felt a bit off the other day and I wouldn't let him come near me for like 24 hours Grin. He never gets properly ill anyway (in the more than six years we've been together, he's never had a day off work, never been sick, never had a proper cold) but he works in schools so incubates diseases from the kids and brings them home for me. And cos I'm self-employed I'm no longer used to being around big groups of people and all the germs they get, so I tend to pick stuff up a lot more easily now Sad

I'm just guzzling vitamin C and hoping for the best!

detachablehoof · 06/12/2018 10:14

I have an antenatal class this afternoon - on labour and coping strategies. No idea what to expect and I'm a bit nervous!!

The bottom of my bump is sore today. I think it's just my abdominal muscles complaining about how far they have been stretched. It really hurts when I stand up, I have to push myself out of a chair!

twiglet · 06/12/2018 10:59

@detachablehoof I'm also in the low lying placenta club waiting for the 34 week scan.

Went to classes on Tuesday but glad we have booked onto NCT as until my scan I'm not really looking into much detail about labour and the NCT classes are after the scan.
My first option before my 20 wk scan was a waterbirth but that's about as far as I have got but felt a little under prepared on Tuesday. I didn't want to plan too much so that I didn't get disappointed if I have to have an elective.

detachablehoof · 06/12/2018 11:13

@twiglet I also feel a bit like it might be a waste of time learning about labour and delivery if I do end up with the section. But didn't want to leave the classes until next month! I'm a bit nervous actually terrified about giving birth (and very clueless about what actually happens) so am hoping the classes will help me feel a bit more confident / prepared.

Time is going so fast and I am SO not ready!!

hayley013 · 06/12/2018 11:13

@Leonora94 I'm struggling with sleep too, same really, wake for toilet and take ages to go back to sleep, it's exhausting.

@Lulabell1 hope you're ok and getting plenty rest x

Surprisedmom · 06/12/2018 12:36

@maxiflump1 i’m in the cold club too, been suffering since last Friday but hoping i’m at the tail end now. I work in a school so was expecting to get a cold at some point but forgot how awful it is to drag yourself in to teach with one.

@detachablehoof in my NCT class they covered sections as part of the birth delivery, we did an exercise about how many people would be in the theatre and what their roles were etc. The lady in our group having a section said it was very useful but I also found it good to know what would happen if I have to have one for any reason. Hopefully your antenatal class will cover all options including c-sections.

Leonora94 · 06/12/2018 13:20

I was awake from about half two on I think it was a mixture of busy brain, stress and the fact baby was having a full on rave in there. I got up at 5 in the end and took flexible working to a whole new level and got into the office for half six! Am on my way home now going to attempt a nap. Fingers crossed for a better sleep tonight 🤞🏻

beckyxo · 06/12/2018 13:44

Hello, I hope you don't mind me messaging. I think I messaged ages ago but then disappeared from the face of the earth! Hope you are all well? I just wondered how many of you have booked onto classes and if you think they're worth it? I am moving house in a couple of weeks to a completely different area so not sure what to do. x

DeliberatelyGinger · 06/12/2018 17:31

I'm booked in for NCT classes but they don't start til early Jan as I'm a late Feb date (27th)
