Hello all. I am 7+3 today, according to an early scan I had last week. The midwife on the phone had worked out my pregnancy at 10 weeks, but when we went for the scan it was only 6+2. I was on the contraceptive implant until june though so wasn't regular in periods, but the dates still don't seem to match - I did 2 pregnancy tests at the middle and end of sept and both were negative as well. So I'm really confused and a bit anxious about that. We did get a hb though so that was really good. Really hoping those still waiting for that hb get it soon. I haven't had too much nausea yet, just the odd wave, but feel absolutely exhausted x

Peanut1980 · 04/11/2018 08:26

@fabuluce my clinic have been amazing but I’m feeling a little annoyed with them about the scan. When they booked it I said i wouldn’t be 7 weeks and worried it would be too early but I was told it wouldn’t be a problem. When we had our first meeting with the nurse she said the scan would be at 7 weeks. Plus the clinic had already come to the conclusion that I implanted late after having two hcg blood tests. Anyway, what’s done is done and I’m hoping for some good news this week 🤞🙏

Congratulations to you. How far gone are you? Was this your first IVF cycle? It was my first. The women that have multiple cycles are made of tough stuff. Its a hard journey xx

fee1234 · 04/11/2018 08:34

@Stormwhale sounds exactly like what I had a few weeks ago. I took a urine sample to the doc and dip test confirmed UTI, so I got a weeks worth of antibiotics which cleared it up. My doc said you can be more prone to them in early pregnancy

They can be so uncomfortable and really suck so go get yourself sorted out x

Napssavelives · 04/11/2018 09:13

Anyone else’s boobs massive?! Mine are huge! Def gone up at least a cup size

gimmeadoughnut123 · 04/11/2018 09:20

@Napssavelives yes! I have gone up 1 cup size at 7+1. I've gone up to an F so I'm actually hoping they don't go crazy through the rest of the pregnancy or I'll have serious wardrobe issues 😂

Ksjourney · 04/11/2018 09:30

Definitely sympathising with the huge boobs mine feel like they are as big as the skin will allow and continuing to grow 😩. Husband rolled over in his sleep reached out to hug me but caught the tip of my nipple... I jumped about 6 foot and woke him up. He was very apologetic bless him. Boobs are definitely off the menu for the near future. Along with everything else while I'm feeling so awful - lol. I don't feel sorry for him one bit 😂

Blondcat · 04/11/2018 09:37

Yup boobs massive 36f up two cup sizes really noticeable I think that is more obvious than the bloat at the mo so struggling with tops which don't over emphasise them as think they are a pretty big giveaway.

hellotoyellow · 04/11/2018 10:29

Cautiously joining as I think this might actually happen!

8+4, third pregnancy after an ectopic and a missed miscarriage at 9 wks. Had a scan at 5 weeks and on Friday - all normal with a good heartbeat so feeling pretty positive.
Booked in for harmony just before I'm 11 wks and have emailed chosen big London teaching hospital with booking form .. now terrified.

Already up a cup size and nauseous - only constant eating helps and I'm going to bed really early because the nausea is so bad after about 7pm. Fingers crossed it's all worth it!

hellotoyellow · 04/11/2018 10:30

@Stormwhale I also had a UTI, GP did a phone prescription. Antibiotics really helped

Fabuluce · 04/11/2018 10:41

peanut1980 in total this is my 6th attempt! I had 3 goes for my son - one worked but then had a MMC, second failed, 3rd worked!! Late BFP followed by low HCG numbers but they tripled after 2 days and we now have a crazy 3yo. Second go with a donor egg (I'm 46) first two failed, this one is looking good so far! 🤞🏻 I'd totally convinced myself it wasn't going to work and as this was our last go that I was ready mentally to move on....best laid plans eh?! Wishing you every bit of luck this is a sticky one for you. It can be brutal (but then so can motherhood!).

Fabuluce · 04/11/2018 10:42

Waves to newbs! 🖐🏻

Jealous of the big boob gang. Mine ache but they never blooming grow. I feel I've been sold a lie!

yikes89 · 04/11/2018 11:13

Hello! I am 7+2... feeling a constant low level nausea and absolutely no appetite! Is anyone else experiencing this?! And will it suddenly swing the other way and I'll start feeling ravenous?!

curlyrebel · 04/11/2018 11:20

Hey all, checking in. I'm 9+1 today. Booking in appointment this week but I'll actually be away on the scan date they sent. So I'm hoping they can book me in earlier or I'll just go private as I want some peace of mind before I leave.
Flying longhaul at 11 weeks so hoping the baby will be fine.
I had some SPD last week. Had a long commute back from work and was standing up most of the way. Could barely walk and was tricky to carry my DD. I had it in my pregnancy with her but didn't think it could come up so early again. Anyone else getting pelvic pain?

Reastiepeace · 04/11/2018 11:24

Fabuluce is comvinced myself it wouldn’t happen for us as was going to give it until Christmas and the next stop trying/give up. Mentally I had thought it wouldn’t work!

Hellotoyellow fx for everything working perfectly for you

ksjourney yes to the very sore boobs! Mine are a bit bigger but still just about fit into my bras. I remember last time quite early on they got huge and I couldn’t wear any of my clothes quite quickly.

Greyhound a good strong hb is a great sign, hopefully the dates will sort themselves out.

Hi peanut, fx for a lovely little hb at the next scan.

Just sending dh out to the supermarket to get food for me as I can barely eat anything but when I can eat I have to eat all the time and I’m running low. Feeling so so sick almost all the time and have to eat constantly. Is anyone finding nausea/sickness is starting to get better yet? I’m due at the end of the month so in amongst it but to hear from those getting into double figures if there’s light at the end of the nauseous tunnel it would really help my mental state. Last time I had it all the way through but I’m sure from 9/10 weeks it stopped being so constant and I got some better times.

Peanut1980 · 04/11/2018 11:36

@fabuluce you’re amazing. I don’t think I could survive 6 rounds. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy.

Thank you @reastiepeace x

Napssavelives · 04/11/2018 11:52

Is anyone else really dizzy? So if I stand up too quick it’s really bad, head spinning have to lay down (BP related I’m sure). I also seem to have low level dizziness going on most of the time . Feeling yucks, hope that means baby is growing wel

Peanut1980 · 04/11/2018 12:04

@napssaveslives sounds like low blood pressure. I had that with my son. The Drs couldn’t really do much for me but told me to be careful when getting up quickly especially after a bath x

Stormwhale · 04/11/2018 13:01

@gimmeadoughnut123 - no booking in appointment, I have been chasing it for a couple of weeks now, but still no luck. Apparently my midwife, whoever that is, will contact me soon.

Thanks to the others who have said it does sound like a uti. I'll pop into the gp tomorrow. This pregnancy thing is not turning out to be much fun so far!

curlypasta · 04/11/2018 14:48

ive booked my booking in appointment for friday, and also just booked a scan for when im 9+2 coz i cant wait anymore! private scans werent as popular even 3 years ago so i thought what the hell!
soooo excited! (but also nervous, i cant cope if twins!!)

fee1234 · 04/11/2018 15:11

Anyone struggling with acne? I've always been quite lucky with my skin but since being pregnant I'm getting so many big spots on my shoulders, back and chin.

hexagon01 · 04/11/2018 15:46

How bad does nausea have to be for doctors to give out medication for it? I have a similar level of nausea as in my last pregnancy but I’m struggling so much more this time because of extra person to look after? Not sure if it’s bad enough for medication though...

yikes89 · 04/11/2018 15:49

@Napssavelives I am also getting very dizzy / spots before my eyes if I stand up quickly! Even just getting out of bed!

toasterstrudle · 04/11/2018 16:07

@hexagon01 if it's having an effect on you managing your day to day life they'll give you medication, there's no strict test. I've had them a few times for morning sickness/nausea.

I was hoping to avoid them this time but I've spent all weekend in bed so I think it'll be gp this week, otherwise I don't see how I'll manage DS and work!

hexagon01 · 04/11/2018 16:09

Thanks @toasterstrudle I might ask for something. I’ve also spent all weekend in bed...

toasterstrudle · 04/11/2018 16:12

Sympathies @hexagon01, it's brutal! I thought I'd escaped the worst of it this time and was managing with the bands but it's hit hard this weekend!
