Sorry to hear that @inkworks273

I am feeling very sorry for myself today, house is a mess need to go shopping need a shower got two DCs to look after and I just want to lie in bed all day... Putting the bedsheets in the wash shortly so I can't keep crawling back in...

Sickness is worse today despite HG meds... I am going back to the Dr this week. I am 11+6 with DC3 xx

inkworks273 · 04/11/2018 12:21

Sorry to hear you're not so good either @bumblebee39 I honestly can't imagine feeling like this while looking after children.

I always thought I'd have two kids but I don't know if I could go though this again. I had a good cry last night which is all I seem to do these days.

My house is also a tip. DH has been great at looking after me and running after me but keeping a clean house is not his strong suit lol.

I'm also thinking I'll have to go back to the gp. Have my booking in appointment with the midwife tomorrow morning so that's something to look forward to.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 04/11/2018 12:35

inkworks273 sorry to hear you’re feeling so sick, I hope the Dr can do something to help. Get as much rest as you can.

I’m feeling a bit down today, which I guess is due to a bad night’s sleep and hormones. I’ve got family coming round, which I’d forgotten about until late last night when it was agreed we’d do them a Sunday lunch. This morning has been mad trying to get the house into some kind of order and preparing the food, whilst DS spends the whole time screaming at me for no obvious reason. Just got a chance to sit down for 10 minutes and feel like I’m about to cry! SadConfused

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 04/11/2018 12:36

@Expectingnumberfour you should chase them up about your scan, I’m sure you’re aware there’s only a limited window for them to get accurate measurements.

bumblebee39 · 04/11/2018 12:54

So far today I have done pretty much f all. Eventually cleaned DC2s pram because it was a mess and put all the bedding in the wash but now got to get my shit together because got friends coming for a roast later... I invited them to motivate me but just stressing me out right now. I have to clean tidy and food shop... Why do I do this to myself? Aargh!

frankiefumbles · 04/11/2018 12:59

Hi all! Sorry to hear everyone is feeling shit. I don't understand why women ever have more than one child.

This is infinitely harder than I expected. I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow I think, based on my new scan estimate that (lols) would have involved an immaculate conception or a time travelling egg/sperm. Eek! Is it even my husbands? Don't worry. Only kidding. I don't have time for that!!

I have been utterly exhausted since Friday. I'm a total waste of space. People from uni have started chasing me (I'm part time PhD and haven't done a single sentence since my BFP) and the work jobs are building up. On the one hand I'm getting intimidated by it all, but on the other I feel like a little ray of sunshine is beaming down on my as I'm about to tip over 12 weeks. I don't want to take things for granted...but I'm starting to believe this little bean might be the one! I always roll my eyes a bit when people talk about rainbow babies but I can kind of see why they use that expression now. I'm almost excited if I weren't so tired!

frankiefumbles · 04/11/2018 13:00

@bumblebee39 that's nuts having people over. I offered to host Christmas this year and I'm already in a panic about that!! Oops

bumblebee39 · 04/11/2018 16:07

I know @frankiefumbles but at least it made me do a half arsed job of cleaning the house!

dreaminofholidays · 04/11/2018 16:14

@inkworks273 I'm 11+6 today and have definitely found this week the worst for feeling and being sick. Thought it would have died down by now but not yet. Just lying in bed cos that's about all I do nowadays.
Literally no idea how anyone does who has DC/s to look after as well as being pregnant. xxx

Firstbornunicorn · 04/11/2018 16:54

@dreaminofholidays and @inkworks273 so sorry you're still feeling sick. :( And nothing helps, either - wish it was really just as simple as eating a ginger biscuit and getting on with life!

@frankiefumbles I also had a time traveling baby at one point!! Still trying to get the setback in my dates resolved.

@FrazzyAndFrumpled that does sound stressful. Definitely try to find a quiet moment to cry if you need to! I've been doing tactical crying the past few days as my hormones go crazy 😂

MimiSunshine · 04/11/2018 18:19

Hi all, missed the start of the new thread. I’m 15wks or 15+3 if you go by the dates they gave me after my scan (pretty certain that’s wrong as it changes my last period dates and means conception was the before we dtd).

However other than that, generally fine. Had a weird cold whereby I’ve had the symptoms of a cold (snotty, sniffy bunged up nose, hacking cough etc) but not actually felt ill.
I know cold and flu are two different things but I’m wondering if the flu jab I had at 10wks has helped on that front 🤷‍♀️

Pebblespony · 04/11/2018 19:39

Spent most of this morning crying. Couldn't handle DD at all. I had to just get out for a while. It was terrible. Like the baby blues all over again. Grand again now but I feel bad for being so horrible to DD though.

inkworks273 · 04/11/2018 21:46

Sounds like we've all been having a bad day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I doubt it though! 😅

I've just crawled into bed after forcing myself to have a shower. I wouldn't have bothered but I have the midwife in the morning. I hate having showers now. It's a race to get everything washed and rinsed before I throw up!

Firstbornunicorn · 04/11/2018 23:04

@inkworks273 I bought a shower seat! One like a granny would have. I'm 29 😂 standing up for that long without puking just wasn't happening.

frankiefumbles · 05/11/2018 00:47

@Firstbornunicorn what amused me most was her rejection of my information. She says "oh no, it must have just happened faster than you expected". Uhh. No. I didn't have sex then. There's no "doubt". It can't self-fertilise three days BEFORE the swimmers came to visit. I think I've got a bit fat healthy bean in there so I'm just going with it!!! DH is tall anyway so I reckon bean is going to be a big one!

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 05/11/2018 08:43

frankiefumbles I know you’re not, but just wanted to say, I wouldn’t worry about the immaculate conception - according to my dating scan I conceived just 6 days after my period started! Hmm Babies are obviously just on the long side (or measurements are out) and growing well, so definitely not a bad sign!

I’m feeling so tired, it seems like I’m only half-sleeping at night so although I’m not sat awake all night, I’m sort-of aware of being awake and just not getting good rest. Now to go into another week already feeling like a zombie.

I’ve emailed my MW this morning as I have no idea when I’m supposed to be having my first antenatal check with her, I guess at some point next week (I’m 15+2 now).

Hope everyone has a good day Cake

TedLife · 05/11/2018 10:11

Hi ladies,
Joining you rather late as my date has just been pushed forward into May (only just, May 29th!). I was on the June groups but think you ladies might be closer to me in terms of progression. Does anyone know if there's a Facebook group for May babes?
I'm 10+5 today and nausea varies wildly day to day but kicking my bum this morning while I pretend to work!
How's everyone doing?

zoClueless · 05/11/2018 10:57

Does anyone know if hormones or similar continue to have random surges into second trimester?
I'm 14+5 now and had been feeling ok for a couple weeks but yesterday was completely knackered, felt sick for a few hours (let myself get hungry and dinner was a beef roast so not a quick one....) and also had really sensitive nipples again. Felt like going back in time!
Of course, now the irrational part is worrying if it all means something is wrong as second trimester is meant to be the honeymoon period of pregnancy...

Beckyv88 · 05/11/2018 11:36

Hi @tedlife! I’m 11+3 so similar to you. What are your symptoms like at this stage?

@zoClueless it’s my first pregnancy so not sure but from what I’ve read I think it’s normal to be up and down as the hormones are just going crazy! Plus I’ve had the most random waves, nausea really early which I thought was weird but midwife says everyone is different no it’s all normal really. Hope you feel better soon though.

@anyone - I’ve moaned about this before but the weight gain is so overwhelming and really getting me down. I felt like I was fairly slim before and I had a flat stomach - now at not even three months my stomach is permanently sticking out. I was quite a dieter before pregnancy and had an eating disorder as a teen so I think it’s getting to me more than is usual but then again I see women further along than me with hardly a pound extra added. It’s so hard.

TedLife · 05/11/2018 11:50

@Beckyv88 it's my first baby too but second pregnancy (mmc earlier this year) so am super nervous! Symptoms are mainly the nausea that comes and goes boob pain and tiredness although the boob pain and tiredness just feel like normal now, I can't remember life without them! Had some back pain this morning on my right hand side which was uncomfortable but has eased again. My sonographer said that week 11 is when all the baby's bones form on its head so there's a lot going on and I'll feel very tired because of it. Might be the same for you?

dreaminofholidays · 05/11/2018 12:04

Hey, Had my 12 week scan this morning, all looked well, baby was wiggling around. My EDD was brought forward a couple of days to 17th May so 12+3 today. Just got to wait for the Nuchal results now.

I know there's a few of us with scans today so hope they have all gone well! xxx

Beckyv88 · 05/11/2018 12:49

@tedlife yes I know what you mean! The boob pain feels so normal now. And same with tiredness, as soon as I lie down I’m asleep - around 9/10pm. When is your scan?

@dreaminofholidays great news on your scan. Can’t wait for mine next week!

HalfBloodPrincess · 05/11/2018 12:54

Scan went well. Due date now 23rd May. Just the wait until the NT results, hopefully within the next week🤞

TedLife · 05/11/2018 12:59

@Beckyv88 I literally got my letter this morning, it's on weds 21st when i'll be 13 weeks. Pretty annoyed to be honest the hospital here have been so laid back about getting me any appointments, just feels unfair I don't get to have it on my 12th week like everyone else :(
How about you?

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 05/11/2018 13:00

Glad your scans went well, dreamin and Half Smile
