@MissSmith80
Thanks for posting the admin for the FB group. Was planning on scrolling through for a reminder of who it was! Will try remember to send SurfingOwl a message when I'm next on a computer rather than phone.

Ooooh I lover getting the car seat and base - made it all feel very real! This is DC3 for me so don’t need a lot but I genuinely have not bought a thing. I was all organised by this stage in previous pregnancies. I’ve had a run of really nasty bugs which is my excuse for being off the ball. Had nasty D&V for a week, before xmas and have had a winter bug since before NY. Oh and my eldest had chicken pox from Boxing Day and now my youngest has just come out with them as well. Sad Hes almost 2 and not coping well plus mummys head is splitting from blocked sinuses so doesn’t make for a good combination.
Hoping to get his birthday party out the way next week then really start getting organised for baby x

rosettesforjill · 10/01/2019 10:32

@zoClueless yes, it's all kicked off now! They've cleared the massive hill and are about to start actually building now... I think we're still on course to be done in time, and hopefully we'll be back in at least before the new arrival.

Rubberduckies · 11/01/2019 08:25

Hi everyone. I'll also give you a pm when I'm next on a computer surfingowl .....when I remember anyway! We had our 20 week scan this week. Baby was VERY naughty and we were there for ages trying to get it in the right position. Dh now knows what sex it is. I don't- I want a surprise! We bought the pram in a clearance sale but I haven't seen anything else I wanted in the sales which is annoying!

TooManyBooksTooLittleTime · 15/01/2019 23:08

Just typed a longer message and then lost it, I had also lost this thread for quite a while so will message for the fb group.

dreamingofstars · 29/01/2019 13:36

Hi, I’m new to mumsnet posting.... 🙈 how do I DM is it @suurfingOwl? Thanks in advance!

Am 24 weeks today with 1st baby; gender will be a surprise 😊. Also have anterior placenta, but felt some kicks yesterday at the side which was nice.

Wishing everyone healthy pregnancies

MissSmith80 · 29/01/2019 18:15

@dreamingofstars I couldn't DM using my phone - had to log on to my PC but yes, it's Surfing Owl. Glad you've had some kicks - I'm 25 weeks and have a posterior placenta so have felt kicks for a while - still getting used to it as a sensation though 😂 xx

dreamingofstars · 29/01/2019 19:15

Thanks @MissSmith80
Yes it’s so strange! But lovely! X

ash151719 · 05/02/2019 13:34

Hello, new to mumsnet posting but wanting to join in, due 3rd baby 7th May Smile is this thread still active? I don't have Facebook so can't join in on that!

MissSmith80 · 05/02/2019 19:34

@ash151719 Hi and welcome. The Facebook page is very active now so I think most people have moved over x

purplestar9 · 11/02/2019 13:55

@ash151719 hello :) I've not been on here for a while now, but I'm also not on Facebook. How are you doing?

Hello everyone! Took me forever to find this thread...due little boy #2 31st May- but my first came at 37 weeks so who knows! How's everyone feeling?

Firstbornunicorn · 14/02/2019 17:39

I lost the thread for a while too! I almost forgot about it as we have the FB group.

purplestar9 · 15/02/2019 18:49

Has anyone been experiencing Braxton Hicks?

OP posts:
theprincesswhohadnokingdom · 16/02/2019 13:06

I haven't yet, Purplestar9. Are you having Braxton Hicks?

Hello! My baby is due 4/5/19 ~ would be nice to have some people to chat with about all the ups & downs of it.... How do I find & join your group over on FB? 😊
purplestar9 · 16/02/2019 13:48

@theprincesswhohadnokingdom yes I have, I went to hospital a few days ago because of reduced movement from baby and while I was being monitored they noticed some surges which I definitely felt! But I didn't realise what they were and turns out I've been having them before but a lot more since being there!

OP posts:
theprincesswhohadnokingdom · 16/02/2019 18:55

Wow! There are certain "this is REALLY happening" moments when you are pregnant and the ol' Braxton Hicks kicking off is certainly one of them. Did they say that it is normal for them to start about now? This is my third baby... but I am quite dreamy in nature and can't remember when Braxton Hicks started with the other two....😕

purplestar9 · 16/02/2019 19:38

@theprincesswhohadnokingdom to be honest they were a little concerned at first and wanted a doctor to have a look at the chart to see if I needed further tests to see the likelihood of going into labour in the next two weeks... that was a little worrying! Haha. But the doctor said he was happy with it and sent me on my way! They are fairly frequent at the moment but apparently it is quite normal. I guess the body prepares in any way it needs to. This is my first baby so everything is new to me anyway!
It seems our due dates are very close too... mine is due 3rd May :)

theprincesswhohadnokingdom · 17/02/2019 05:55

What a horrible experience for you! I am sorry that you went through that. It must have been so stressful.

chelsee13 · 17/02/2019 21:39

Due 30/05 but being induced 2wks earlier

SurfingOwl · 05/03/2019 21:27

How is everyone? I have loads to catch up on.

purplestar9 · 05/03/2019 22:20

Hi @SurfingOwl
All good here, how have you been?
Not much goes on here anymore unfortunately, most people seem to now communicate on Facebook (but I'm not on there). Hope all is good with you. How long do you have left now?

OP posts:
SurfingOwl · 05/03/2019 22:34

I’m sorry people aren’t commenting on here so much now. I’m ok thanks. I’ve been very organised and packed most of my bag and feel fairly prepared. Scans show the baby is big but my bump is still normal sized. I’ve been doing a couple of antenatal classes and preparing. How about you?

purplestar9 · 05/03/2019 23:19

@SurfingOwl sounds good! When are you due?
We have been fairly organised too really. Got most things packed ready, and most things bought for baby. I'm measuring on the small side but no extra scans needed so all good!

MayaLH · 09/03/2019 19:05

Hi all! I’m due 2nd May but I’ll be delivering in April as I have Polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid). This is my first and it’s a girl! ❤️
