Thanks @Firstbornunicorn . Sorry to hear you're suffering too, it's grim isn't it. I'm not as bad on the pills, only a few vomiting episodes but the nausea is hard to cope with.

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 02/11/2018 11:43

SadFlowers sounds really shit for the both of you, Firstbornunicorn and MrsReader.

purplestar9 · 02/11/2018 13:18

I'm so sorry to hear about all of you who are suffering with nausea and sickness still. I hope it all passes for you soon.

I didn't have bloods taken at the booking in appointment but I did at my first scan appointment. I was told 'no news is good news'. I'm assuming I'll get any results at the 16 week appointment but in the meantime I won't be worrying if I don't hear anything.

@Frankiefumbles I called the doctors and they told me my bloods from my booking in app were all normal. May be worth trying that?

Gosh guys, your sickness sounds terrible. I really hope it eases.
On the plus side of feeling sick and food aversion I've managed to lose some weight.

xxx

inkworks273 · 02/11/2018 14:05

I've also lost about half a stone. Suppose it's hard to gain weight when all you can stomach is some dry toast and ready salted crisps.

Sometimes I'll have a notion for something a bit more adventurous like pizza or some chips and gravy. I enjoy it at the time but it comes back up about an hour later.

If I stick to bland food I'm able to keep it down.

I'm also finding it hard to drink water. It just doesn't go down well. I am managing to drink a 500ml bottle a day though by just sipping on it.

earlybirdhasanap · 02/11/2018 15:02

I just weighed myself I've lost 3lbs since getting pregnant. I lost 7lbs in my first trimester last time so I'm taking that my sickness is much better managed this time.
It all means nothing in the end though as I ended up putting on a massive 3st by three end last time.

Firstbornunicorn · 02/11/2018 15:34

@inkworks273 you could try drinking from a sports bottle with those anti leak type caps - you know, like Lucozade Sport comes in? I've not kept water down for weeks but I've managed some Lucozade Sport/Gatorade type drinks, I think partly because the cap gives more control so I can just squeeze out the tiniest bit at a time, if that makes sense? I also found that lemon and lime flavoured things go down a bit better. I'd never touch those types of drinks normally, so just found this out by trial and error and trying every drink I could get my hands on.

inkworks273 · 02/11/2018 16:21

Thanks for the tip @Firstbornunicorn I find that if I eat or drink anything sugary I end up feeling worse. I think I will try some lemon and lime flavoured water. And good idea about the sports cap.

Saw the doctor today and she's signed me off for another 4 weeks. I pray I don't need that long but it takes the pressure off knowing I don't have to worry about work.

lifechanginglemoncake · 02/11/2018 16:31

Here you all are! Wondering why you had all disappeared. Must be something wrong with my app as I see you tagged me at the start of the new thread but I didn't get the notification. Will check my settings.

Sorry some of you are so sick. I feel like I have been really lucky to just get nausea but not actual vomiting. Having said that, 5.5 hours trapped in a car on the way back from Cornwall last week with constant nausea wasn't pleasant. Nearly went crackers. Poor DH never seen me so grumpy.

I had my booking in appt on Monday and now I am waiting for the scan letter. Really want to get the date in the diary. 10+2 today so no need to panic but time seems to be standing still waiting for everything to happen!

lifechanginglemoncake · 02/11/2018 16:42

Realised I missed out on the introductions. So:

I'm 33, this is #DC1, due 29 May, no scan date yet but hoping will be w/b 12th Nov. Should get the letter any day now.

Starting to worry that being the massive extroverts we are and unable to keep secrets, quite a lot of friends and family know already. Really hoping for good news at the scan but also know those we have told would be people we would lean on in case of bad news.

So exciting to see some of your scan pictures. I think I am one of the latest due dates as I only just sneak into the May groups.

Kescilly · 02/11/2018 18:23

I’m lurking here with a due date around May 31st @lifechanginglemoncake! Also I love lemon cake. I’ve been spending more time with the June group but wanted to hear from ladies that are a bit ahead as well.

tinyradish · 03/11/2018 18:30

Hi all.

I don't pop in much as we have the fb group but I'm 29, dc1, due 1st May.

The horrendous HG has died down a lot & seems to be controlled by tablets now.... I've been taken over by an incredible tiredness instead.

At 14+3 some new clothes will be needed soon - the button extenders are only going to do the job a little bit longer! I know some of you have lovely little bumps already. :)

HalfBloodPrincess · 03/11/2018 19:23

Hi, @tinyradish, could I join the Facebook group please? I was contemplating starting one up but didn’t know there was one was already on the go!

MissSmith80 · 03/11/2018 20:07

@HalfBloodPrincess I have lost track of who is who but I think @SurfingOwl crested the FB group so you can drop her the email you have linked with your FB account x

SurfingOwl · 03/11/2018 21:20

If anyone wants to join the secret Facebook group then just sent me a private message when the email address you use (to log onto facebook) and I can send you the link.

Expectingnumberfour · 03/11/2018 22:09

Expectingnumber4 Age 37, DC#4, 13 today, have not got a 12 week scan booked yet!

tinyradish · 03/11/2018 22:15

Expectingnumberfour · 03/11/2018 22:18

bumblebee39 · 03/11/2018 22:26

HalfBloodPrincess · 03/11/2018 23:01

Thanks. I’ve PMed too. I’m still in a group from when I had ds too (also the first to know my news!) and it’s been a lifeline.

Amolly · 04/11/2018 01:43

I've sent a PM aswell I hope you don't mind.

lifechanginglemoncake · 04/11/2018 08:20

Not sure I know how to PM on here with my emails address. I've got the talk app on my phone. Is there another way?

rosettesforjill · 04/11/2018 08:27

@lifechanginglemoncake you need to go on the desktop site to use DMs

inkworks273 · 04/11/2018 11:41

How is everyone feeling this morning?

I had one of my worst days ever yesterday. Didn't get any respite from the nausea at all, had it all during the night and woke up this morning feeling just as bad 😢

At 11+3 I was hoping to start feeling better, not worse.
