Thanks for all the support ladies x

Laburna · 31/10/2018 04:00

Why am I awake? I've been trying to get back to sleep for nearly 2 hours and I think I've officially given up!

With my first, I was super bloated for the first 10 weeks or so, wearing stretchy pants by 6 weeks because I had to unbutton every time I ate if not. Then actually carried really far back, so my bump was barely noticeable until 30 weeks ish. He was super tiny which obviously made a difference, but was still wearing most of my normal t-shirts.

I got rid of most of my maternity stuff, I've dropped 2/3 sizes since I had the first, so nothing would fit, but I also hated 'over the bump' trousers which I wore to work so I wouldn't flash the kids when I was on the floor with them 😂

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 05:44

Oh no Laburna you don't have a busy day do you?

I'm struggling with nausea bad this morning already and today is the day AF was due so I'm still so early! 😫

Starryeyed1001 · 31/10/2018 05:47

Just finishing a night shift, will be glad to see my bed 😂

Laburna · 31/10/2018 06:19

Thankfully not twittlebee we are pumpkin carving and gingerbread men making today! Hopefully DS will be in a relatively easy going mood today!

Squ1ggle · 31/10/2018 06:20

I'm another one with no symptoms yet, feels so silly to be wishing for sore boobs and nausea but that's what I'm doing Hmm

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 31/10/2018 06:28

Hi everyone, can I join you? I found out this morning that I'm expecting DC2
EDD 1st July which now seems like it's not that far away!

ratherbeshowjumping · 31/10/2018 08:19

Thank you so much for the link @StargazyDrifter it does hugely help put everything into perspective.

Elasticated jeans area great idea. Thank you 😬

Feeling absolutely shattered today (despite getting a good 10 hours sleep last night). Those with DC already, I really don't know how you're doing it.

ffiffi8 · 31/10/2018 08:20

Hi can I join please?

Due 4th July if all goes well 😊

Laburna · 31/10/2018 08:32

Morning @RosieposiePuddingandPi and @ffiffi8 welcome!

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 08:38

Morning all,

Thank you for the votes of confidence, I do really appreciate it Smile I'm just such a worrier since our MCs and this might well be my last chance of a rainbow.

The links are helpful so thank you for that. Although when I put my details in my chances went up a bit Sad (my age plus previous MCs), but still a very high chance that things won't go wrong.

Anyway, today is a positive day!

I'm trying to remember when I first started showing with my DC. I can't remember DC1 (13 years ago!) but DC2 i distinctly remember being very bloated at 6 weeks and being unable to do my jeans up. I was definitely 'showing' by 12 weeks.

When I was pregnant with DC3 (MMC) I had a very hard tummy by 7/8 weeks and was wearing maternity trousers.
I also used an elastic band on normal trousers in the early days, but maternity ones are much more comfy than having a piece of elastic cutting your tummy in half.

Welcome @RosieposiePuddingandPi and @ffiffi8 Smile

I will update the list

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 08:55

Thank you for updating the list!

I was grilled by the MiL when I dropped DS off this morning to her before work! It is like she has a 6th sense for smelling pregnancy..... I didnt want to lie but I also didnt want to tell her just yet as I know she will jump down my throat (which she did anyway I guess) so I just stood their awkwardly saying "well we wont be having a baby just yet" (which is true, I have 8 months to go...)

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 09:03

Nice save @TwittleBee

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 09:10

Arrgghhh just looking at those charts again.

We lost DC3 at about 8+4 and there was only a 4% chance yet we still lost her Sad - just my luck to be in that 4% Angry

Right, STOP LOOKING FRAZZLE!!

ratherbeshowjumping · 31/10/2018 09:13

The list is getting long now! Welcome @RosieposiePuddingandPi & @ffiffi8

I'm feeling so bloated today... I'm a size 6 & only 5"1 so nowhere for it to really go. Panicking slightly as I have my cousins wedding on the 16th & a big work Xmas party on the 30th. I only started working for them last month so definitely do not want them to know quite yet 🙈

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 09:15

ratherbeshowjumping oh don't! I am a Bridesmaid for our two best friends wedding at start of Feb! Just hoping I wont be showing when I am 17 weeks pregnant so I can fit into the dress! eeek.

oh bless you Frazzlerock sending you hugs and positive vibes, please remember that this is a different pregnancy hun xx

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 09:23

I know, I'm rubbish at this game.

Yes you're right it is a different pregnancy! Plus I think I have got further than our second MC which is good too. Plus I am armed with meds to prevent another one. I will win this one!

Errr, re your events...... you will deffo be showing by 17 weeks. My god I was well and truly in maternity clothes by then!
@ratherbeshowjumping just wear something loose to your work xmas do and the wedding. You'll be fine.

pancakes22 · 31/10/2018 09:35

@TwittleBee I'm meant to be bridesmaid a month or so after due date! I'm dreading telling her as I'm pretty sure she will say no babies allowed so I won't be able to go to wedding. Currently getting so many messages from other bridesmaids about booking flights and I am thinking in my head that's the weekend before I'm due!! My DH adamant he won't let me tell anyone just for another couple of weeks even though it's causing me so much worry keeping it quiet!

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 31/10/2018 09:40

Is it okay if I join? Very early days. Had a very faint positive on Saturday and then a really strong positive on Monday!

This will be my first. I feel very lucky (excited and nervous!!) as I only came off the pill in August. Unsure of my cycle length as only had 2 periods before my BFP. 29 day and 25 day cycles.
The online calculators are saying I'm due between 7th and 11th July.

pancakes22 · 31/10/2018 09:41

Part of me feels disappointed that I'm going to miss out on hen and wedding celebrations as I've never been away with the girls before but then I feel so guilty for having those thoughts as the other part of me thinks I should just feel so lucky for this pregnancy...

I think I'm just having a bit of a wobble and starting to feel a bit emotional where I'm getting worried about what everyone (bridal party/friends etc) will say when I say I can't go to anything vs worried about my lack of symptoms vs worrying about when the symptoms do come and what the next 9 months have in store (dreading the return of SPD) vs worrying about the impact this is going to have on DD. She keeps saying aw me mummy and daddy and I'm thinking eek not for long my darling you are going to have to share me soon!!

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 09:48

Frazzlerock I didnt show till 20 weeks last time and didnt pop till I was 22 weeks, there is a photo of me at my sister's 21st when I was 17 weeks last time wearing the same dress I wore to my graduation and you cant tell I am pregnant at all. Really hope it be the same this time! I do have my fingers crossed for you, really hope this will be your sticky and healthy lil baby.

pancakes22 Just remember, your friends will be pleased for you! They will happy you are having a lovely lil baby when you tell them! It will be ashame you might not be able to attend but you can still join in with the prep of the wedding and the excitement. Your DD will be a lovely big sis too. Keep positive. We have a family motto which is "there is no such thing as a bad time for good news" which I think you should keep in mind.

hey there ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts welcome Smile

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 09:50

I actually have a maternity black and gold dress which I bought when I was pregnant a few months ago (ended in early MC unfortunately) for work xmas party and unsure whether I should just sell it or keep hold of it. I tried it on the other day and it has a proper bump bit, no way will I be able to fill it up by then and also Idk if I would want work to know before 20 week scan anyway now....

StargazyDrifter · 31/10/2018 10:05

Totally feeling you on all the emotional stuff, gang.

Frazzle, during my third admission to EPU in June, I waved exactly those stats at the docs and they said 'no one is so unlucky to end up in the tiny % bracket several times over'. There is some comfort in that somewhere! Plus you have meds.

I am not enjoying today. Evening is hard.

pancakes22 · 31/10/2018 10:09

@TwittleBee I love that moto thank you x

Lauren83 · 31/10/2018 10:14

I'm due 3rd July all being well, early days obviously but a bit of a miracle pregnancy as I have 9 month old DS from donor eggs (5th cycle of IVF) haven't had a natural BFP in over 9 years of trying so in shock but obviously very happy
