Do not apologise @twittlebee, we've all been there, or are there, or wondering the same things at times. That's the point of this little group (little 😂) to help each other through stuff like this, hand hold, cheer up, advise, commiserate, laugh with etc etc etc. I think the number of us who have had difficult years or previous pregnancy issues is quite high and when you have been through it you always go to the worst case. It's natural because it's a way to protect yourself. You just have to balance it with rational stuff too, and sometimes we are the rational thought you need when yours doesn't work.

That being said, if you need to get checked and it will put your mind at rest, don't wait, whatever DH says! Anxiety is a bitch, and I'm glad you are being seen and monitored, it can really do a number on you!

TwittleBee · 05/11/2018 16:33

Thank you both so much! You are right, I should stop googling and just go get seen. I'll have to wait though tbh as I do not really want to take DS with me as won't be fair on him. If things get worse I will of course get seen straight away though. Atm its manageable on pain killers.

amanda2809 · 05/11/2018 16:49

@TwittleBee try not to overthink things but definitely get seen. Hopefully it's just baby snuggling down for the long stay :)

So blooming typical, got my booking in appointment on the only day they could do (appointments only on one day a week!) And it's the day of our board meeting! I'm going to have to change it, but the next week I'm traveling with work to see our chairman so again no getting out of it! Might see if they'll see me a week earlier.

ratherbeshowjumping · 05/11/2018 16:51

@TwittleBee keeping fx'd for you. Surely you wouldn't be that bloated for a CP?! Must be a good sign!

pancakes22 · 05/11/2018 16:55

@TwittleBee I had a scan at 4 weeks on my first pregnancy to ascertain if ectopic or not - they will be able to see where the sack is formed (ie if there is a sack in womb or ovary) but you can't see any baby in it yet. I have a scan photo of just an empty shell at 4 weeks and then went back 6.5 weeks to see if there was a teeny baby there. You will be able to get it checked this early on but just warning you in advance don't freak out when you can't see a baby because it's purely just where it's so little at the moment xx

Capybaras · 05/11/2018 17:01

@TwittleBee as pp have said you have absolutely nothing to apologise for. Go get checked out, you’re not wasting anyone’s time. And as someone who also struggles with anxiety, it’s definitely worth being seen to hopefully put your mind at rest!

Capybaras · 05/11/2018 17:03

Have my booking in appointment tomorrow (the advantages of living in an area full of old people!). Not really sure what to expect. Been feeling pretty normal today, although now I’ve booked my booking in appointment I now feel nauseous! Hoping it’s just nerves!

Laburna · 05/11/2018 17:48

Just cried at my first Christmas advert of the year! Wasn't even a good one! 😭😭😭😭

Capybaras · 05/11/2018 18:24

So it turns out the feeling nauseous is that I’ve caught the d&v bug my family has had the last few days! I hope this won’t effect the bean!

StargazyDrifter · 05/11/2018 18:36

Brainfried Super exciting about your scan date! 😊

pancakes I have to admit I had a glass of wine last week when I was 4w4d because I had convinced myself it was another ectopic when the EPU couldn't find a pregnancy but saw enough hCg to signal one last week. They of course found a healthy-looking sac in the right place the next day. Cue me Googling everything about alcohol. Bottom line: 2 units per week or less they don't have any evidence either way. The NHS therefore says no safe lower limit on that basis. Common wisdom: many people don't know they're pregnant until 5-6 weeks, drink as normal and all turns out fine. I think on balance you'd be ok with a spritz as a one off. But you might surprise yourself and find you no longer like the taste! Happened to me. You might find it useful to say you have a killer hangover from the night before, getting too old etc. That's one of my stock cover ups.

HchyScott So sorry to hear, what a big worry. But well done for sticking up for yourself and the little bean and getting into the surgery you wanted! Fingers crossed for you that all turns out fine.

TwittleBee Completely get where you're coming from, and no need whatsoever to apologise either on here or to the doctors. This is all a massive deal and it's better to get support even if it's only to put your mind at rest. Certainly here we all feel like that from time to time, as others have said. It's probably all ok, and in my case that persistent side pain was just the luteal cyst doing its work and all the other stuff was just ordinary early pregnancy nonsense. But I did get checked because of a previous ectopic. They saw the sac at c. 4w5d, in the right place. My previous actual ectopic was found at 5w0d. But they are extremely rare and you'd need to be pretty unlucky. I take beta blockers and have had to stop. Taken a few days off work to sort of process all the pregnancy stuff before I dive back into the relentless slog and drama that is my work life at the moment. Anxiety is awful and a huge drain on everything, especially at such a delicate time, hand in there and be kind to yourself.

Frazzle I am going to have a little look at that link... just one tiny peep... can't hurt... 😂 My friend was super lovely about everything and we had a good day.

Capybaras Ow no, get well soon and drink lots of water!

TwinkleDay · 05/11/2018 18:37

Hi all,

I’ve had a good day at work, no more spotting/bleeding today yet so I’m happy. I haven’t been feeling odd either with is good too, though I’m am liking bland food at the moment. I also got my letter in the post to confirm my appointment and a list of hospitals to pick from :)

StargazyDrifter · 05/11/2018 18:37

PS TwittleBee this is for you. 😊

StargazyDrifter · 05/11/2018 19:14

That's super news, TwinkleDay! Was it you talking about magpies last night? I saw 4 today. Definitive proof I'm having a boy, obviously! 😂

TwinkleDay · 05/11/2018 19:26

@stargazydrifter yes 3 for a girl 4 for a boy. How’s exciting me and OH we’re talking about preferences yesterday but at the end of the day as long as they healthy that’s all that matters. Bird watch continues lol

StargazyDrifter · 05/11/2018 19:59

TwinkleDay I've found two versions of this online, but have only ever come across the first myself. Definitely more birdwatching to do! 😉

TwinkleDay · 05/11/2018 20:11

Haha, does anyone know what they want for Christmas yet ? Without giving the game away?

Laburna · 05/11/2018 20:25

I'm really struggling @twinkleday. I can't think of anything 🤦🏻‍♀️

TwinkleDay · 05/11/2018 20:32

I have been looking at air con units for june July next year, think it might help with things if all goes to plan, though they are £300+ but I did ask for a dehumidifier and a hoover one year so I think I’m just that sad act that gets a kick out of a new appliance and a problem solved ha ha

Frazzlerock · 05/11/2018 20:49

I've just well and truly sobbed my heart out at Eastenders. Last time I did that was when I was preg with our 2nd little lost baby when Nancy and Tamwar left the square. And the time before that when I was preg with our first little lost baby when Charlie died of a heart attack! Eastenders clearly has effect on my pregnant hormones!

Re Xmas... man I've no idea! I wrote a list for my mum before we got our BFP and it was full of running gear and posh gin 😂
I'll tell her that I've changed my mind in those things.
Apart from a healthy baby still growing inside me, I'm not sure what I'd like. Money towards the pram and nursery I think.
Maternity clobber to get me through until July..
A grip?

TwinkleDay · 05/11/2018 20:51

@frazzlerock pahaha a grip lol I think we all need them every now and again. This is why I’m on the gift voucher front for the ‘sales’ I always have Black Friday off to sit on amazon and get some bargains so I am currently making a list for family .

Frazzlerock · 05/11/2018 20:59

Oooh.... Black Friday!
When is that again? And how can I find the real bargains?

itsallgreek · 05/11/2018 21:06

Ahhhh I'm freaking out just went to pee and found bright bed blood... Not a lot like 2 drops but now of course I'm freaking out... I've put a pad on to see how much blood it is. I've googled and read everything I know it common but it's still scary. Confused

StargazyDrifter · 05/11/2018 21:18

Frazzle I haven't watched EastEnders in over a decade, but it popped up on the TV as tonight as I turned it on - it was the shot of whoever the woman is holding a baby. It made me feel strangely emotional so I turned over immediately.

TwinkleDay · 05/11/2018 21:19

@itsallgreek this is exactly what happened to be yesterday bright red it took 3 wipes to get rid of it all before drinking a load and it went brown after that!! Please try not to worry I had no pain and it stopped within 2 hours, just a shame it’s right before bed. Scary scary for me but I think I am ok now.

Black Friday is 23rd November this year
