OMG @Belmo I have exactly the same issue with DD. She only feeds from the left so right one is now really sore. Desperately trying to wean as I don't fancy tandem feeding

@StargazyDrifter hope you are ok? Have they given you a date for a repeat scan?

Belmo · 01/11/2018 21:01

I don’t much fancy tandem nursing either.
StargazerDrifter oh I hope they can reassure you soon.

pancakes22 · 01/11/2018 21:06

@StargazyDrifter how far along are you? This happened to me last pregnancy at 3/4 weeks and I had to go back at 6 weeks for them to be able to see if a baby was there or not. Longest wait ever but we were lucky it all worked out and having the extra scan was reassuring. I really hope everything works out for you.

HchyScott · 01/11/2018 21:10

@StargazerDrifter must be horrible for you, fingers crossed you’ll start to feel better and they’ll do a repeat scan to reassure you.

I’ve got a new symptom tonight, woke up after a little nap and since then I’ve been ridiculously dizzy. I’m hoping it’s just being so tired, I’ve had dinner so really hoping it’ll go off, I feel like I’ve been on the waltzers. I’m hoping this is normal-ish?

TwittleBee · 01/11/2018 21:17

Oh I am so sorry StargazyDrifter and so hoping it all is just too early. Sending you love.

Saw my GP today about my medication as I spotted it's not suitable for pregnancy. He's told me to stop taking two of them straight away as they're particularly bad for early stages of pregnancy and I can take the 3rd one still but I'll have to be monitored. Already had the specialist MWs phone me this evening, they've said they'll be seeing me asap next week to talk through monitoring. Kinda freaking out now tbh.

TwittleBee · 01/11/2018 21:17

HchyScott could certainly be from being so tired and needing food. You okay now?

HchyScott · 01/11/2018 21:21

@TweetleBee still very dizzy despite eating a full dinner so I’m just trying to get about steadily but mostly laying down

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 02/11/2018 05:26

@HchyScott Could be iron deficiency maybe? If it continues get an urgent GP appt to check your levels

@TwittleBee that's worrying but at least they've caught it early and you're now going to get lots of additional help and support

Laburna · 02/11/2018 06:04

@stargazydrifter the most likely scenario is you are still to early, isn't it? When do you go back again?

Hope you are doing ok this morning!

Frazzlerock · 02/11/2018 07:46

@stargazydrifter please try not to worry (easier said than done). This happened to us once but it was just too early.
Your due date is the 7th July which is roughly a week behind me. That makes you less than 5 weeks (if I've worked that out correctly?) and it is very hard to find anything at this stage Flowers

itsallgreek · 02/11/2018 07:47

@stargazydrifter thats wuite worrying hopefully next scan they'll see everythings alright, we have to same EDD and ive got a scan on tuesday to see if alls well and little bean is in their sack.

Today i feel exhausted really had to drag myself out of bed to come to work. and have left my hair in a right messy up do, i couldn't be arsed to do anything with it this morning....

Let just get through this 8 hours, thats my main goal right now.

Frazzlerock · 02/11/2018 08:12

@itsallgreek I hope work isn't too taxing.
I'm WFH today and so is DP so we get to spend the day together Smile

My symptoms have tailed off this morning Sad but I did have some mental dreams last night! I'm taking that as a good sign..

Also, I started my daily journal yesterday at 5 weeks and 5 days Smile I am desperately clinging to the hope that I will be able to carry on writing until we meet our little baby.

Oh BTW I had an overwhelming thought yesterday that our little one is a boy!
Is anyone else feeling really sure already?

BackAwayFatty · 02/11/2018 08:28

@Frazzlerock I feel like I'm carrying a girl. I nearly bought a Halloween dress for next year & had to stop myself because I don't know for sure. Also have lots of girls names & barely any boys - it's like I know I won't need them. Had the same when pregnant with my DD. So strange!

Frazzlerock · 02/11/2018 08:32

@BackAwayFatty funny isn't it?

I actually have a HUGE list of girls names (two of which have been snaffled by family members while we were TTC - one was my top girls name Angry and only a tiny list of boys. But that will make it easier to choose if this one is a boy.

TwittleBee · 02/11/2018 08:33

Frazzlerock aww I really am hoping you do and I am sure you will be able to pass on your diary to your little boy! So lovely when yuo suddenly have an intense feeling of who you are carrying isnt it? With DS I had a really vivid dream at about 7 weeks about him, what he looked like etc and I was spot on! Not sure about who I am carrying atm though!

BackAwayFatty funny isnt it when you find yourself having to stop buying things!

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken thank you

TwittleBee · 02/11/2018 09:00

Feel so rough today, actually had to stop off on way to work to buy something to eat as felt like I was gonna puke unless I ate. Head is pounding too! Why do our bodies do this!

Brainfried1986 · 02/11/2018 09:02

I don’t have a feeling for what I’m growing, but desperately want a girl! We still have the girls name we chose before ds, and if we have a girl that will be the one. Not sure I believe in signs, BUT when I went to the gp this week not only was the temp gp that I saw named our girls name, but while we were waiting someone with our girls name was called in to see a gp - it felt like fate! Ultimately I know that if we get a boy then that’s who we were supposed to have, but I would really love to have a girl...

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 02/11/2018 09:27

@TwittleBee sorry to hear your feeling rough. I've got literally no symptoms.. even ended up doing another test yesterday (very very. Positive) because I feel too "normal"

Laburna · 02/11/2018 09:28

Gosh, I'm still wondering if there's a baby in there I've not even started to think if it's a boy or girl! 🤣

amanda2809 · 02/11/2018 09:39

I have no symptoms! well other than caffiene withdrawl Grin I remember with my son I was constantly looking for signs but already this time I'm so busy with work and looking after him I've hardly thought about symptom spotting!

We didn't have a name for our son, we only named him when he was a day old and being rushed to NICU! (Sepsis, a week in hospital with antibiotics sorted him out as it was caught early). This time, we've still got our girls name from last time, but again no idea for boys!

Frazzlerock · 02/11/2018 09:45

@Brainfried1986 but what if your girl is a tomboy!? Wink

Right, so I have been counting down the minutes for gig tickets to go on sale at 9:30am (they sell out FAST as the band is hugely popular) and literally with 2 minutes to go the midwife calls! I've been waiting for this call for nearly two weeks and she chose that moment.
So I had to do both at once. As well as try and locate my NHS number. Thankfully DP is at home so he could take over on the tickets.

So two lots of good news.... We got the tickets! and I have a midwife appointment on 13th Nov Smile

The gig is on my birthday when I'll be 40 (amazing b-day pressie). But all being well I'll be two weeks before our due date! I figured that if things go wrong then I have this to look forward to, and if things go well then we'll sell the tickets (reluctantly)

Phew, what a stressy moment that was Grin DP told me off for getting stressed!

TwittleBee · 02/11/2018 09:53

Frazzlerock what a morning already then ey!

amanda2809 sepsis is bloody nasty, DS and I both got it from birth. Lucky they can catch it early and sort it out. Good luck at finding a new boys name, swear they are the hardest to agree on!

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts I read today that symptoms dont usually kick in till about 6-7 weeks and some people do not get the 1st trimester symptoms at all. Interesting how different we can all be! I actually also POAS this morning! Wanted to make sure this wasnt heading in a way of a CP!

I hate to admit it but I would be so disappointed if we didnt have a girl this time. I really wanted a boy with DS and was so lucky we got him.

StargazyDrifter · 02/11/2018 10:03

Thank you everyone, that's very kind and genuinely lovely to read. I love the spirit on this thread, no giving up! Feeling a bit better after a very long sleep.

So... I have irregular cycles from PCOS. LMP 26 September but ovulation 15 October.... so while the usual way of calculating things would put me at 5w2d today it might be more like 4w3d. I knew all that and was holding out for the 7 week reassurance scan arranged by my GP w/c 19 November. In the meantime quietly reassured by the sting symptoms (so much so it had made me Google twins!).

On Wednesday I had had the lower right side pain for 2-3 days and it wouldn't shift, plus more nausea and lose bowel and this wretched burning shoulder like with the last ectopic. EPU said they were happy to see me and do scans for post-ectopic women at 4-5w anyway (GP and I must have missed that memo!). Doctor and then consultant found nothing, ectopic or otherwise. We hadn't that horrible conversation about 'have you got your dates right', which I do. And BFP was 24 October anyaway. So there was a lot of polite hand-wringing and blood taken. Waiting for a call back with results and plan. I suspect they'll want to re-scan me next week either way. They were all very good and I have to say I don't envy their jobs!

itsallgreek and TwittleBee hope you're not feeling too rough. Such a strange thing the symptoms - you spend ages hoping for some and then keep wishing for a tiny break as soon as they're here!

Frazzle hurrah for a brilliant start to the day! I'm convinced mine will be a boy btw. Irrational, unscientific, but I am.

ratherbeshowjumping · 02/11/2018 10:17

Poor you @StargazyDrifter - it must be so stressful for you 🙁 it is so early so the little bean must just be hiding away somewhere. Keeping all my fingers & toes crossed for you.

Love how I'm not the only irrational one here - I am completely convinced we've got a little girl growing away... to the point where DH & I have already started calling Mini Showjumping the name we intend to call her if she is a girl.

Belmo · 02/11/2018 10:18

Woohoo Frazzlerock good effort!

I have a bit of a boy feeling, but who knows.. in my heart of hearts I would quite like a girl; but practically it would be a lot easier if it was a boy (can share a room indefinitely with ds, and wear all his stuff). We have absolutely no boys names though, we went through every single one with ds!
