Thank you both. I have literally forgotten everything since having my ds!

TwinkleDay · 31/10/2018 19:13

Does anyone have any idea when they will be telling work?

StargazyDrifter · 31/10/2018 19:44

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken and brainfried both lovely thoughts about that particular egg and about all the July people still waiting to hatch, so to speak.

itsallgreek snap! My EDD is also 7 July and also with my first. Would be very interested to hear what it's like over in Greece. This is getting to be a great group!

On flu jabs, I would just get one - the sooner, the better. I'm not sure whether they're free this early on but I wouldn't wait if it's possible not to.

Holly5633 · 31/10/2018 19:47

Hi ladies, congratulations to your all!!
Please can I cautiously join?? Got s BFP yesterday and another today but only 11DPO diet cycle after
Chemical a 5+1 last month so feeling slightly anxious and cautious at the moment. EDD 13 July 2019

Holly5633 · 31/10/2018 19:48

Sorry my typos in that are terrible!!

MummyG82 · 31/10/2018 19:49

@Squ1ggle I will be 12 weeks on Christmas day 🤦‍♀️. I'm really hoping they will book me in for scan before that! I would love to announce it on Christmas day! But I guess if it's after then I could always announce on new years day, if I can wait that long lol. X

ffiffi8 · 31/10/2018 20:08

@TwinkleDay I've already told work, in case anything happened, we're all pretty close anyway!

I'm 12 weeks same time as you @DianaBlythe 😊

I've been so tired this afternoon, no other symptoms yet though, is it 12 weeks they do the first scan?

Squ1ggle · 31/10/2018 20:10

@MummyG82 I know, I was really hoping to be able to announce at Christmas but really want the scan first! Fingers crossed they squeeze us in

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 20:16

Oh jeez my knee is killing me! I'm assuming it is related to growing a baby, otherwise I've no idea what it could be.
I never had this with my previous pregnancies so I'm wondering if it is because I'm officially a 'geriatric' mother I'm only bloody 39! Practically a spring chicken!

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 20:19

Re work, I've already told my team and I'm not keeping it a secret. If people know then it doesn't bother me.

Besides I'm bound to bump into someone when I've got my coat on with my baby on board badge. Can't be arsed to sneak around quite frankly!

DianaBlythe · 31/10/2018 20:33

I’ve had to tell my boss as trying to avoid seeing patients with oozy shingles and who are radioactive. She’s being very discreet though which is much appreciated.

MummyG82 · 31/10/2018 21:06

I've told my work as it involved heavy lifting, stretching and on my feet all day! (retail). There are only 7 of us in the shop though. Made my boss cry when I told her today! Bless her! Set me off though! Bloody hormones n emotions lol.

HchyScott · 31/10/2018 21:32

I’m in a small team of 4 and they know I’m TTC so I’m pretty sure they’ll guess however we have a new boss taking over the business in the new year with transition happening in December Confused . I’m pretty worried about it, don’t want her to feel like I’ve left her in the lurch but this is something I’ve been planning for a long time, change of boss was not lol!

TwinkleDay · 31/10/2018 21:32

Think I will see how I go, if symptoms get bad then will have to fess up one Friday I work in food development so I’m kitchen based and desk based and supermarket based occasionally.

BackAwayFatty · 31/10/2018 23:24

Booked into see midwife on 13th Dec & NHS scan Christmas Eve. Couldn't wait that long so have booked an early scan on 11th of Nov.

Told my Manager today with my job being heavy lifting/on my feet all day. She was super happy! Gonna get my early scan & then tell family. Can't wait to say to everyone

Congrats everyone!

TwittleBee · 01/11/2018 06:35

Not sure how I'm gonna tell work. We have been trying for a year and I had vaguely mentioned that to my director (him and his wife gave up TTC long ago he said) so bit worried about emotions for everyone. Also I've only been there 4 months. I'll be starting my Mat Leave after only being there for 1 year.

TwittleBee · 01/11/2018 06:36

But yeah if morning sickness keep a going way it is I might have to tell them sooner rather than later. Had to tell previous job before 12 week scan as was so sick in the office

TwittleBee · 01/11/2018 06:38

How's everyone's sleep btw? I'm so bloody tired but can't sleep at night. Waking up in cold sweats, vivid dreams and general anxiety

TwinkleDay · 01/11/2018 07:09

Morning I slept like a brick. However I did notice brown discharge when wiping this morning and I had pink on Monday night. Hoping it clears up... has anyone’s had this before ? Bye I’m 5 + 5

ratherbeshowjumping · 01/11/2018 07:15

@TwittleBee I feel the same, I'd have been with the company for 9 months when I go. They are a very child friendly company, part of the reason I accepted the role, but we genuinely didn't think it would happen so soon.

Feeling awful again today, had the most vivid dreams & so exhausted.

itsallgreek · 01/11/2018 07:23

morning...

i slept alright, it was first night where i didn't feel like sleeping from 9 so had some us time with DP, he's better at this than me he's got a DS from a previous relationship but in a way he's keeping me balanced instead of freaking out about everything.

I told work yesterday but they'd kind of work it out anyway, no-one has seen me in the kitchen smoking and my diet has changed dramatically.

A friend here at work who's done this a couple of times says that im very bloated for 4 +3 and becuase there are lots are twins in my family i should be prepared for that Shock

Brainfried1986 · 01/11/2018 07:25

@TwittleBee my sleep is a bit dodgy too - quite cold sweat-ish last night & definitely getting the vivid dreams.

Just poas (to use the 2nd clear blue one I bought as I thought I might as well...) it came out as 3+, which doesn’t quite match up with my ovulation date of Oct 13th, but hopefully that’s just because there’s plenty of hcg whooshing around? And hopefully not a possible indicator of twins... I’m still sticking with the 4+5 estimate, but now even more leaning towards getting a private scan at 8 weeks to check what’s going on in there! I’ll be honest, I don’t really want to have a multiple for all sorts of reasons (emotionally not having enough to give, physical strain, financial strain, having to depend more on other people etc...) I know at this stage I should just be hoping for a healthy pregnancy and baby, but I’m also really hoping for just the one 🤞

pancakes22 · 01/11/2018 07:25

Feeling really guilty... after nagging my husband to let me tell the bride friend about the pregnancy because of my worry about her reaction to wedding and hen he has eventually given in and said to do what I want but that I've pretty much ruined this early time where he just wanted us to have this magical little secret between us. His mum and my sister are the only ones who know at the moment (all my choice) but now I just feel so guilty that I've taken that away from him and upset him as it's (hopefully) going to be the last time we do this but I just got caught up in both my excitement and anxiety. I don't know how to make it up to him :(

Laburna · 01/11/2018 07:46

Realised last night that I've been having way over the recommended dose of iron from my vitamins as I was using up my preconception ones....not sure if I should be concerned by that or not 🤔

ffiffi8 · 01/11/2018 08:09

Slept really well, I usually do anyway but have been tired in the afternoons so by the time I get home I'm shattered 😪 heaved a few times this morning but no sickness so far just really painful boobs 😐 I dread work now because I'm exhausted.
