By the way does anyone else get pains in one side? Like cramps?? Xx

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 13:44

I've just ordered my scan voucher through Groupon. Got it for £33 instead of £79 Shock. Now gotta decide when do book it for. I was thinking next Monday when I'll be 6+2... Do you think that will be too early? I do know my exact ovulation date as I was using Ovusense
Oh man, I'm nervous now!

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 13:46

@ffiffi8 I think we have all had the odd bit of cramping. I think the general consensus is that is it ligament/stretching pains.
I'm also shattered by evening! But that is nothing new as I'm up at 5:30 every morning. Doing full days in the office with commuting is taking its toll BIG time.

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 14:08

Right, have booked scan for next Saturday when I'll be exactly 7 weeks.

Only ten days to go....

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 14:10

ffiffi8 yeah as PP said dont worry about the cramping too much! I am getting lots of cramps too and I recall getting them with DS too. MWs said they are just ligament pain etc.

Frazzlerock Yeah I found a similar deal actually, it is a 50 minute drive but is towards my sister's so I can drop in and see her before/after I guess! Might wait till a GP app tomorrow about my medication. I recall last time with DS they were worried about the medication I was on and so booked me in for an early scan to ensure everything was okay actually.

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 14:11

eeeek exciting and good luck! Frazzlerock

HchyScott · 31/10/2018 14:15

Hi all😊
Brand new to this site, had 3 positive pregnancy tests on Sunday morning as I was 3 days late and I’ve worked out I should be 3 weeks today!! Completely gobsmacked, we haven’t been properly trying and I’ve always been convinced it would take ages or never happen. I’m aware it’s very very early days so will be lovely to have some support and advice rather than talking my poor husbands ear off lol. Have told my sisters and parents as if it all goes wrong, I know I’ll want their support. Keeping everything crossed, doctors app. Next Monday, very exciting! No symptoms as yet apart from bloating slight nausea and heartburn but I suffer from Ibs so pretty normal for me. Looking forward to chatting to you all! X

ratherbeshowjumping · 31/10/2018 14:27

Good luck @Frazzlerock 🎉

Mine is booked for the 11th November. I'll be 6+2.

Has anyone else booked one yet?

I'm absolutely terrified they're going to scan me & tell me they can't see anything/baby isn't growing properly. It's so irrational.

Frazzlerock · 31/10/2018 14:28

Ooh you're the day after me then!

Jxtina86 · 31/10/2018 14:34

I phoned the GP this morning and had a call back to advise on my current medication situation (thankfully all okay to carry on taking) and was also told I could self-refer to the maternity unit at my local hospital. Filled out the form and it just said I would receive a letter shortly with an appt date.

My DH is now all worried about what food I can/can't eat - I've sent him the NHS guidelines to memorize so I can just rely on him to tell me 😉

Lauren83 · 31/10/2018 14:56

I have just been to the GP for bloods will get the result back tomorrow, haven't booked a scan yet but last time I had them at 5.5/7/8/9/10/12/15/20 and 35 I have managed to get a prescription from my IVF clinic for all the meds I had before, steroids, blood thinners and intramuscular progesterone so back on those now, £700 I could of done without spending but not complaining!

pancakes22 · 31/10/2018 15:51

This may be a silly question but does it matter if toddler is climbing all over you etc? I've had a few elbows and jumps on my tummy and thought eek I hope that's safe!!

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 15:52

pancakes22 pretty sure it will be okay. I know how you feel though, had DS jumping on my belly this morning!

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 15:56

Anyone else getting sort of sharp, uncomfortable pains in groin area? Don't remember this last time round!

crakpot1 · 31/10/2018 16:03

@TwittleBee I've had a few of those too, I don't remember them from last time either,I did read cause our muscles and ligaments have already stretched once in our first pregnancy and then retracted they are stronger, so cramping and stretching can hurt a little more in your second pregnancy.

Brainfried1986 · 31/10/2018 16:14

Can’t believe how many symptoms I have at the mo - faintness, lower back ache, constant aches ringing all around my lower belly area, good eating habits already gone out of the window (thinking of ordering myself a dominos tonight once ds is in bed...please tell me I’m not the only one feeling the urge to eat crap?!). Feel like I’m gonna go crazy too as my brain doesn’t know what to do with itself!!! It’s so weird to me as I had no clue I was pregnant with ds until 7 weeks, this time there’s no hiding from the fact that something’s going on, just hoping all is ok.

itsallgreek · 31/10/2018 16:17

I've actually surprised myself with how well I've managed so far to eat better and how I managed to quit smoking immediately after poas and getting a post result... But today I really wanna eat pizza Confused

Belmo · 31/10/2018 16:19

TwittleBee I have a feeling I had that last time. Felt a little sicky this morning but no other symptoms yet.. af was due today which feels ridiculous as I feel like I’ve known for ages!
Jealous of the early scans; I’d really like one but can’t find them for any less than £80 anywhere near and really can’t justify it with Christmas round the corner. Wishing away the next couple of weeks though.
I’ve not phoned the midwives yet, might do it tomorrow.

Pancake we’ve got a big family wedding next year (BIL and SIL) when the baby will be 3 months- I’m supposed to be going on the hen weekend but that’s not going to happen. I put 4 and a half stone on with ds! Not letting that happen this time as I really don’t want to feel hideous in the wedding pictures.
Think we’re going to tell the in laws tonight, I’m a bit nervous!

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 16:20

crakpot1 ah yeah that makes sense actually! I was expecting them to be easier this time, but since DS my period cramps have been more intense too so all makes sense!!

Brainfried1986 oh dont even get me started on how much crap I am eating! DH doesnt help, he sent me to work with a whole pack of Caramel waffers telling me I need to start putting weight on for our baby! (I recently dipped into the underweight BMI category due to health issues though so I guess he does have a point!)

TwittleBee · 31/10/2018 16:21

itsallgreek Get a pizza!! Carb up Grin

Belmo AF was due for me too today!

Belmo · 31/10/2018 16:35

GrinTwittleBee a little milestone!

Laburna · 31/10/2018 18:24

Been in floods of years tonight, for no reason at all, triggered by some kids coming trick or treating.

Hormones suck.

Squ1ggle · 31/10/2018 18:25

Does anyone know what hospitals tens to do re 12 week scans at Christmas? Just worked out I'll be exactly 12 weeks the day before Christmas eve and I'm bothered they'll leave it til after Christmas

Laburna · 31/10/2018 18:43

The 12 week scan, can actually be done up to 13+6 (I think) but can also be done earlier than 12 weeks @Squ1ggle

My scan for DS wasn't until 13 something. As long as it's in the first trimester the babies grow at the same rate, so I wouldn't worry too much.

DianaBlythe · 31/10/2018 18:46

I would presume they’re scanning as normal apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day, I presume everyone around then really wants the dates before Christmas though, I know I do!

For the first time ever I have a whole week off at Christmas (usually work Christmas Day and/or Boxing Day) and was planning to travel. I’m 12 weeks on the 20th so hoping I can have a date before Christmas and stay away until New Year. Midwife is seeing me at 7 weeks so I guess I’ll find out then! Booked an early scan at 7+1 through my fertility clinic.
