Lots of cramping today, feels like the start of AF. I remember it from my first pregnancy but it still makes me nervous.

My due date is June 16th and my son is 9 months old (for the list 😁)

KoalasAteMyHomework · 17/10/2018 07:51

@CollyWombles must be stressful for you, sorry. Good news that the HCG levels are there and hope the bloods go ok Thurs.
I've been getting a touch of nausea, disturbed sleep and am so forgetful but not sure how much of that is really pregnancy related haha! But the stretching and pains are unnerving especially as I didn't have them with DS. I guess every pregnancy is different! I seem more worried this time round.
@rollerskaterdata glad all looked good at the scan. I have no experience so just a guess but I would imagine they will still go by your dates rather than the scan for now. Worth mentioning what the scan said at your booking appt.
When I was called with my booking appt my midwife said pregnacare is fine for first 12 weeks but after that I should just take Vit D as thats the advice now. Apparently other vits can affect you absorbing the vit d or something?? Anyone else been told this? I'd much prefer to take full pregnancy vits throughout.

Skee · 17/10/2018 08:10

Ah, that’s ok @Reastie, thanks! I’m embarrassing myself by asking 🙄 Really hoped I wouldn’t worry so much this time round 🤦🏻‍♀️

Skybooks · 17/10/2018 08:43

Am officially 4 weeks today. Today and tomorrow are the days I'm going to imagine my period starting every 5 mins!

toasterstrudle · 17/10/2018 09:03

@SpunBodgeSquarepants I agree with @Reastie , just do your best to get through the first trimester - I put on a fair amount with DS but it came off fairly easily. First trimester I had insatiable hunger for the first few weeks then bad sickness where all I could stomach was crackers and fizzy juice so I ate them all day. Try and make healthy choices when you can but it's not easy! I found it got more manageable from around week 16.

Tryingtoswallow101 · 17/10/2018 09:13

Morning all, finally got my booking in appointment so it seems like things are really moving.

Still symptomless here but going to the GP today where I imagine I will break down into a big bag of snot and tears.

toomanyflatwhites · 17/10/2018 10:03

morning all! Am still probably symptomless here too at 5+1 (though last night felt pukey too @Napssavelives bur I KNOW this was because I wolfed down a load of chocolate 🤣) other than the exhaustion, but DD is STILL not sleeping properly so that's probably why. Anyway so I did another test this morning to reassure myself - and it came up with such strong lines, phew! Photos below are today (left) and Saturday morning (right). So hopefully things are actually progressing as they should!

@toomanyflatwhites I’ve done the extra test thing too!

Kescilly · 17/10/2018 11:59

Welcome to our newbies!

My nausea hasn't returned and I'm beginning to seriously doubt that I'm pregnant. It's hard to notice pregnancy symptoms while I'm still sick though. I hate that I can't take any medicine! Everything I look up is a big fat no.

curlypasta · 17/10/2018 12:53

I tested again this morning too! Still not much change, line a bit squinty but definitely a line! This is exactly what happened last 2 times as well, no nausea, no aches just no period and a kinda heavy feeling in my tummy!

mindthechaos · 17/10/2018 13:10

Hi, can I join in. Just found out I'm pregnant with number 3 due on 25th June. I have DD1 who is 4 and DD2 who is 2 so this will be our third summer baby!

Stormwhale · 17/10/2018 13:54

Hiya, early scan went well. One happy healthy little baby, measuring at 6+5 instead of 7+1, but I did think that may be the case. The round white circle is the yolk sac, and the blob next to it is baby. He/she had a good heart beat! All good!

Skee · 17/10/2018 13:59

Congratulations @mindthechaos, I have a summer baby too, he’ll be 2 when this one arrives Smile bit terrified of the gap Confused

Great news @Stormwhale, congratulations! What a clear scan too! x

toomanyflatwhites · 17/10/2018 14:01

Wooohoooo @Stormwhale how exciting!! Lovely to see this!
Need to get something off my chest.....
My productivity at work is at an all time low...and I am struggling to remember who knows which secrets in my life, here's what's going on all at one time:
Growing a baby (obvs!), secretly talking seriously with DP about getting married before I get too enormous (looking for rings, trying to work out how to do it as low key/easy a way as possible), got promoted at work but as yet nobody I work with knows (especially not my bosses!!)....

is it any wonder I can't keep track of it??! A few colleagues know I applied for the job but don't know I got it (but of course friend/family all know), have told a few friends about the pregnancy but no family/colleagues, and have told absolutely nobody about the tentative wedding plans.
Too much going on and I feel like I might just burst and tell everyone everything!!

poppyseed2 · 17/10/2018 14:06

Great scan pic @Stormwhale pleased the scan went well!

@toomanyflatwhites that's a lot to juggle, especially when competing with early pregnancy tiredness! I'm finding it much harder than last time not to blurt out my pregnancy to everybody I see!

Kescilly · 17/10/2018 14:39

How wonderful @Stormwhale!

mindthechaos · 17/10/2018 14:39

@skee it’s exactly 2 years and 2 months between my girls, it had it’s stressful times but it’s lovely most of the time now as they’re normally best friends.

@stormwhale lovely scan picture!

Skee · 17/10/2018 14:47

That’s great to know @mindthechaos! If my dates are correct, there will be 2 year and 2 weeks between these ones! x

Holy moly @toomanyflatwhites! What a lit going on! Congratulations on the promotion 🍾 A secret wedding sounds exciting! x

Reastie · 17/10/2018 15:37

Toomany that’s a lot too keep in! Hope you remember what to say to whom!

Storm lovely scan picture, great news all looking good, congratulations.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Really tired today but not sure if it’s the cyclizine I’ve started which zoinks me out or pg. still don’t have much cramps and boobs aren’t big or sore at all, could do with more of that and less of the nausea please!

KoalasAteMyHomework · 17/10/2018 15:42

Great scan pic Stormy. Glad all is well.

Stormwhale · 17/10/2018 15:56

Thanks everyone. I feel really relieved all seems to be ok so far. I should have known really as I feel so sick and boobs have their own gravitational force at the moment. We are going to start telling people on the weekend.

@toomanyflatwhites - crikey you have got a lot on your plate. Make sure you give yourself time to rest up too.

Has anyone else got a scan this week?

I have got my blood test tomorrow, not looking forward to that!

poppyseed2 · 17/10/2018 16:42

@Skee @mindthechaos I'm going to have roughly 2 years 2 months gap as well!

Skee · 17/10/2018 16:47

Ah great @poppyseed2! At least we’re all in this together Grin

Reastie · 17/10/2018 17:42

Cried into my dinner as I felt so sick tonight :( . But have just changed into pjs and realised my tights were really tight on my tummy so wondering if that was making the nausea worse. Hoping so as that’s easily fixed! Before af was due I noticed my jeans were tighter than usual on my tummy. The bloat has started early!

Having to munch through increasing numbers of marmite and crackers...

Stormwhale · 17/10/2018 17:55

Aw @Reastie I was right there with you last night. I had made a beef casserole with mash and veg and I couldn't face it at all. It's usually my favourite but i could not entertain the idea of putting it in my mouth as I knew I would vomit. You are not alone!
