Trying to keep up with the thread but it moves so fast!
Who was the poster with the burning pain- are you ok? Sorry trying to find your post but struggling.
So pleased for all of you who had good news at the scans.

Just catching up on the thread, hugs to those with anxiety x x

I feel a bit detached from this pregnancy, I think I feel like it’s not happening because my symptoms are so much less than last time?

@Reastiepeace, I suffer from emetaphobia too, it bacame all consuming near then end of my last pregnancy and I was worried about painkiller options as I’m severely allergic to stemetil 🙈

I have anxiety disorders and I'm staying on medication. My doctor changed it to a safer one before I got pregnant, and explained it's all about weighing up benefit versus risk. For me, my anxiety is quite severe at times. During my pregnancy with my little boy it tipped over into horrendous antenatal depression and I was in a really bad place,so obviously very keen to try and avoid that. Not trying to be argumentative, but in my opinion it's not helpful to refer to anxiety as being mind over matter. It's an illness. I've currently got a few things going on in my life that are making my anxiety worse. Hoping things will improve soon. Thinking of those who are also struggling.

I'm six weeks today. At this point in my last pregnancy, I had a private scan. It showed a tiny pregnancy sac measuring only about 4 weeks with nothing else visible. I was referred to the hospital for bloods etc and started to miscarry a couple of days later. I feel different this time, with ligament pains etc which I hope indicate the pregnancy is developing. Fingers crossed!

Yeah she understood and she's very pleased - She's telling everyone she sees so by tomorrow afternoon all the children at my mum's kids club will know, and therefore some of the parents who work here will know by the end of the week no doubt! She is 3yrs 10 months so almost 4.

I think as @coastergirl says there is a difference between Anxiety and anxiety (iyswim) in pregnancy - with a capital A you need care of professionals and possibly medication, but for so many of us (if not everyone?) pregnancy comes with huge worries and nerves, and for this, distraction is really useful. I bought a brilliant book last pregnancy that I must dig out - well worth a look (and only £2.99 for kindle):

Meanwhile, am a heap of stress because of stuff going on at work (I applied for an internal secondment/promotion, got offered it, then my department kicked up a major fuss and I am being counter-offered to stay in my current job WITH promotion but it's massively political and I feel like I'm letting people down, plus HOW will I then tell them I'm pregnant????). Yesterday afternoon after a meeting with my boss I got a huge knot in my stomach and then whatever I ate seemed to make it worse, it's digestive/stress related so not scary, but really bloody painful and I was up from 2.30 until 5 in pain and unable to sleep. Have taken today off work sick and hoping to get some sleep later, I want to eat but am scared of making my stomach worse!

Got my first midwife appointment today at half 1. Does anyone know if they take bloods at this one? Would like to mentally prepare as I can't stand blood and needles.

Morning @fee1234 - I think they do take bloods if it's your booking in spot. I've found midwives are total pros at this though and it's all very quick.

@Curlywurly3 thank you! Nice to have a due date buddy. Fingers crossed I get to stick around! The lady I spoke to at the EPU yesterday said cramping at this stage is normal. I remember getting it a lot with my little boy. Unless you have more severe pain and/or bleeding, she said try to relax. Easier said than done, I know.

Could i be added please. Due 19th June with number 3. Just like @coastergirl my dates may change due to a miscarriage in August. I've a dd 16 and ds 11 already. This baby will be dp's first 😊

@coastergirl thank you for the reassurance, it was painful for 10 minutes yesterday but no spotting and now as I say is just quite mild so I'll see how I go X

I had the burning pain. It went after a bath. Im a keen runner and I’m scared to run if I’m even the slightest bit achy as I’m kinda think it’s mt body saying no. I’m so scared of causing harm. Need to changing my running schedule and try run in the morning when less achy. I’m exhausted and sore by 6pm

Hi everyone, I’ve been keeping an eye on this thread and following your stories but was not too keen the post due to previous mmc followed by ERPC in January this year. This is our first baby, EDD 12th June, after around 18 months of trying.
I decided to post today as I can’t stop being sick and I can’t manage to keep anything down. I’ve had both yellow and green sick (sorry, TMI!) and I was wondering when should I see a doctor? Is this something I should go to A&E for?!?! Sorry if I’m being dramatic but don’t know what’s normal and what isn’t! Thanks

Can I join? Got my bfp on Sunday and pretty sure it’s all I’ve thought about since (despite being in a new job with lots to do🤣). Due I think on 28th of June. Will be baby one - first pregnancy since an early miss in 2016 so feeling the confusion and nerves others are too!! Recon I’m 5w 2dy but already feeling sick with sore boobs! Haven’t told anyone other than hubby which is hard too!!

Whoop I did it (procrastination from sending emails at its finest!)

Well the emotions are running high for me today! Just had a massive falling out with my boss / dad (joys of a family business) and literally had to run out of the office before all the staff saw me burst into tears. I'm not typically an emotional person but think I've cried more in the last 3 days than I have in the last 10 years! Anyone else crying at everything or just me??

Hope you're ok @napssavelives and sorry I couldn't remember your username. Its a busy thread! I have been getting a lot of twinges and pains but assume its all just muscles and ligaments softening etc. Morning runs may be better then if you are less achey then. Might be worth mentioning to the midwife when you see them to see if they have any ideas x
