I was in a meeting earlier and I had really bad cramping for about 10 minutes, I had to excuse myself. There's no spotting bit the pain was so intense it made me feel nauseous (I haven't had MS as of yet) 6 weeks today. Do you think it's something I could be worry about? It's completely gone now but it was really painful at the time:( x

JBCG · 23/10/2018 15:04

@Curlywurly3 probably worth mentioning to your gp just in case. I always think better to be safe than sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️. Hope you're okay though x

mindthechaos · 23/10/2018 15:04

@Curlywurly3 I don’t know, but just wanted to give you a handhold as I’ve had painful cramping too today. Fingers crossed the cramping is very temporary for the both of us x

JBCG · 23/10/2018 15:32

I've just started spotting - what does this mean?? Sorry, freaking out a little bit! Think I'm five weeks at most, been having cramps and now just started spotting with very light pink blood (sorry tmi). Any ideas??

coastergirl · 23/10/2018 15:40

@JBCG I had spotting on and off for most of the first trimester with my little boy. Some people get it, some don't. Keep an eye on it. I've had it in two pregnancies and had one good outcome, one bad. Hope it stops.

mindthechaos · 23/10/2018 15:40

@JBCG spotting in early pregnancy is common, but no harm giving your GP a ring

Tryingtoswallow101 · 23/10/2018 15:50

JBCG - I had this exact problem yesterday. GP said it’s completely normal but worth getting checked out. Try not to panic too much. It’s awful and scares you senseless, so phone your GP or EPU if you can self refer. Flowers

jaque Ooo maybe we’re dopplegangers!

JBCG · 23/10/2018 15:52

Thanks, I've left a message with my gp so hopefully I hear back soon. Absolutely freaking out right now! Because I was sent for an early scan quite urgently yesterday and the consultant planted the idea that I could be having an ectopic pregnancy, I think I'm being overly sensitive and terrified of every symptom. I also haven't felt nauseas today at all for this first time in a week so that's a little concerning 😔

Skee · 23/10/2018 16:23

Hand holding @JBCG, hope you hear back from the GP soon x

MadeInCornwallx3 · 23/10/2018 17:21

Hope all is well @JBCG - will be thinking of you.

I've had a pretty crap day all round. DH's job is quite stressful and today had a total meltdown wondering how Im going to cope with 3 children. I'm an emotional wreck and feel a bit of a shell of myself currently with just no energy or motivation at all. Lots of tears, though a bit calmer now. Couldn't help but question myself 😢

JBCG · 23/10/2018 17:22

GP called and said not too concerned at the moment but if I start heavy bleeding go to a&e.

So I just have to wait .. and I'm not good at waiting. I'm still very nervous and devastated but trying to stay positive.

stellarfox · 23/10/2018 17:28

@JBCG spotting can be completely normal in pregnancy and from what I’ve read light pink isn’t a sign of major concern. It’s if you have bright red where it could be something to get checked out. I had a bit of light pink before maybe at 5 weeks ish and haven’t had it since but everyone’s different!

CollyWombles · 23/10/2018 17:33

Evening all. Early scan this morning revealed identical twins! Looks like my tarot readings were right! I am less than 6 weeks, the scanner could see two feotal poles and two yoke sacs but one of the twins is a little smaller and the yoke sac looks oval instead of round so there is a chance it may not develop any further. I have another scan in three weeks but please keep your fingers crossed for twin 2, DH and I so badly want them both!

CollyWombles · 23/10/2018 17:36

@madeincornwall you will cope with three. That's what us mums do. We cope, no matter what! I thought 5dc was terrifying but now we may have 6dc and you know what? I'm not worried because I know we will manage because we will have to! Breathe, have a nice bath and try not to dwell on stressful thoughts xx

jacquejacque · 23/10/2018 17:38

Oh my goodness @CollyWombles that is so exciting!!!

MadeInCornwallx3 · 23/10/2018 17:41

Thank you @CollyWombles I think sometimes the emotions surrounding the whole experience just become overwhelming.

I know we will be fine, I'm just a wreck today haha. Bloody hormones.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 23/10/2018 17:42

@CollyWombles And oh my goodness - twins! Wow that's incredible! Fingers and toes all firmly crossed for both little beans. X

Kescilly · 23/10/2018 17:45

Fingers crossed for you, @JBCG! I had some light spotting right at four weeks but nothing since.

Wow @CollyWombles, what a discovery! Good wishes for both the little ones. ❤️

@MadeInCornwallx3 it must be overwhelming at times, but you'll get there. Do you have support other than your husband? I was the youngest of three in my family (siblings would have been 3.5 and 1.5 when I was born) and my parents somehow managed. I loved having two siblings growing up and would have liked to have three of my own, but it wasn't meant to be.

I'm a bit distressed because I've just read a woman say she had a tmfr due to brain abnormality after having flu at seven weeks. I'm worried about my cold and asthma when I was really sick which would have been around 6-7 weeks.

One day at a time, right?

Napssavelives · 23/10/2018 17:49

I’ve got what I can only describe as a burning pain in my lower abdomen, every so slightly on my right size. It’s not constant. Slightly worrying, I’m meant to be running tonight but I’m a bit worried whether I should be going if I’m having aches/discomfort.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 23/10/2018 17:49

@Kescilly Thank you for you're kind words, I do have support, I'm very lucky with grandparents and friends.

I think emotions have just taken over, plus being totally shattered and the early pregnancy worry we all go through.

I guess that's why forums like this are such a godsend when we can tell each other how we feel without feeling crazy!

owly321 · 23/10/2018 17:49

Hi, can I please join? Think my EDD is around 11th June. This is my first pregnancy and just started to feel queasy (although mainly wanting to poo rather than vom! TMI?)

MummyHigg · 23/10/2018 18:15

Baby number one, due June 15th, but that will probably change when we go to the dating scan!!

Fabuluce · 23/10/2018 19:42

Wow Colly that's amazing news! Keeping everything crossed for you. X

tron84 · 23/10/2018 19:42

Thanks I can’t join face book groups yet as I haven’t shared the news. But thanks for the tip for future

tron84 · 23/10/2018 19:44
