I went into my last pregnancy with great intentions as well, but SPD, exhaustion and morning sickness throughout meant I ended up piling weight on instead. I got back into my old size after 12 months, but am still heavier than before. Definitely want to stay as active as possible this time around, but already struggling with very light gym sessions or to run up a couple of flights of stairs, so will just have to do what I can.

Looking forward to the second trimester when I can start pregnancy yoga. Those classes were a highlight of my week last time!

ThatPlanWorked · 21/10/2018 18:11

@Pigriver I’m leaning towards a c section too. Last baby was 10lb8oz, failed home birth, PPH, and baby in SCBU. Awful. I had PND and it has taken a really, really long time to move on. I have lasting injuries that will one day need surgery. I’m sure they’ll monitor me differently but I don’t think I’m feeling brave enough to risk similar happening again.

I’m also feeling really really cold. Should I be worried?

Napssavelives · 21/10/2018 18:15

Def felt more pregnant today, very moody/hormonal, sore boobs, headachy and felt a bit sick /Eugh. Also very tired. 6 weeks tomorrow . Please keep growing baby!

pollykins151 · 21/10/2018 18:34

@Napssavelives with you on the moodiness today. I had a full on emotional breakdown whilst all my family were here for a meal for my dads birthday. Oops. At least they all know about the baby so can blame the hormones and being so tired. 8 weeks tomorrow

JBCG · 21/10/2018 18:36

This is my first pregnancy and I'm a little nervous! My boobs are very sore and I'm quite tired but I don't really have any other symptoms. I'm only 5+3 (I think) they haven't managed to date it exactly as I haven't had a period since coming off my pill, but I'm scared I don't feel 'pregnant' enough! Everyone has told me that the stronger your symptoms the stronger the pregnancy so I'm freaking out a little bit that I don't seem to be having all the symptoms I ought to. Anyone else not feeling super pregnant? Or have any experience? My trouble is I'm googling!!

annihall · 21/10/2018 18:45

Just came back from my early scan, looked all good and we could even see the heart beating! However they dated me only at 6+4 (so due 12th of June now), according to last period I'd be 8+2 and according to ovulation tests I thought I'd be at least 7+5 so a bit disappointed as I somehow have in my head that the 8 week mark would make it more safe to actually continue but I guess seeing a heart beat is a good sign!

annihall · 21/10/2018 18:50

@hexagon01 I am craving both meat and sweets haha. I read somewhere apparently you crave savoury things if it's a boy and sweet things if it's a girl - I guess that's just one of many pregnancy myths but clearly must mean you're not the only one craving meat and savoury foods

hexagon01 · 21/10/2018 19:14

@annihall ha, well I did have a boy! Last time it was meat, burnt things & there was a month or two when I had kale fried in ginger and cayenne pepper with noodles and soy sauce for about 4 teas every week...

Torsz · 21/10/2018 19:17

@annihall in which case mine seems to have changed gender as I was all about the savoury foods up until a few days ago and now I want everything sweet 😂

MadeInCornwallx3 · 21/10/2018 19:20

Quick moving thread!

Welcome to all the newbies! I'm now 7 weeks today, yay! Time is so so slow!

Feeling overall crap and tired and sore boobs plus aching all over - not fun!

Had SPD but not severely last pregnancy and worried it's a dead feet to be worse this time. Thinking of taking up pregnancy Pilates or yoga - does anyone know the difference?

@annihall Yay for the heartbeat! Maybe you were out a bit and took a while to implant? Glad all looks well! I have a scan on the 3rd Nov at 8+6 can't wait!

SassehMonsta · 21/10/2018 19:21

For those who don't have many symptoms, it's not a negative sign - promise! Some people are just lucky - 20% of mum's don't get morning sickness - that's 1 in 5! Those of us who have HG just get jealous ;-)

8+5 today, and time has started to go back to normal post-Fridays scan. I have my booking in appointment tomorrow, and then they will organise and book my 12 week dating scan. I'll let you know anything that happens at the booking in appointment, it's been 4.5 years since I had one so I have already forgotten what they do!! I do know they want a wee sample though.

Nice to see so many people - to join the Facebook group, send a PM with your email address. It's a private group so searching FB won't work.

sbhf1987 · 21/10/2018 19:21

Hi ladies, can I tentatively join? I got a faint BFP on a FRER Friday and AF is due tomorrow (tested early as went away this weekend and I love to drink too much wine usually!!) Miscarried on 23rd Sept at 5+4 so feeling anxious. Don’t have any AF symptoms and the spotting I had from 5dpo has stopped. Feeling horrendously sick today which I disn’t have last month and not sure if it’s a bug or morning sickness as this will be baby 1. Due date 30-6-19 x

Napssavelives · 21/10/2018 19:23

Is anybody else in bed yet?! Kids in bed, pjs on (regretting the bra off though.. sore boobs!) and going to read and have an early night. Shattered

Reastie · 21/10/2018 19:29

Naps I’m in bed! Reading atm but will probably start heading to sleep in about an hour, I’m so tired!

Another day done and another day closer to second trimester

Hello to newbies

socktastic · 21/10/2018 20:09

I long for bed! Exhaustion seems to have set in. Problem is, after 2 weeks holiday it's back to work tomorrow and the first 2 weeks are going to be horrendous. I'll be spending every night sorting paperwork, forward planning, more paperwork... in addition to standing in front of a class for 6 hours a day. Guess I have to tell my head teacher too.

I'm not looking forward to this.

Chel1888 · 21/10/2018 20:21

Hi everyone! I found out about 9 days ago I'm pregnant with number 2 edd 21st June.. GP appt to get the ball rolling on Tuesday :)

MadeInCornwallx3 · 21/10/2018 20:22

Yep! In bed 🙋‍♀️

Xfactor on and PJs - very happy! Can I stay here for 7 months?

Zofloqueen93 · 21/10/2018 20:32

I am exhausted and I have literally done nothing all day.
This growing a human thing is hard work, but oh so worth it Smile

samanthajonespr · 21/10/2018 20:44

I have a viability scan tomorrow because of recurrent miscarriages. I'll be 7 weeks 3 days. I've completely convinced myself that there won't be anything in there and I'm alternating between tears and panic ☹️

coastergirl · 21/10/2018 22:01

For anybody worrying about lack of symptoms, I never had even a moment of nausea with my little boy. I did have horrendous antenatal depression though, and was in an incredibly dark place. I think I'd take the sickness. Maybe.

These ligament pains are weird! Didn't have them all all with the miscarriage I had a couple of months ago, so I'm taking it as a positive sign. Seems very early for it though. My boobs are absolutely killing me!

Kay2705 · 21/10/2018 22:21

5 weeks today and is anyone else symptom free? Apart from tiredness nothing at all.

This is my first pregnancy. Ladies who've been pregnant before when do symptoms normally kick in?

hopefulbabydust123 · 21/10/2018 22:33

I haven't seemed to have much symptoms either, I did have cramps sore boobs and Abit of nausea to begin with but all symptoms have gone (little bit worried) can't sleep tonight as I've got a early scan tomorrow at the EPU due to bad pains. I keep Making up little theories in my head that I'm not actually pregnant (even though had 10 positives) and that I'm going to go to the scan tomorrow and their going to tell me I'm not pregnant and never have been or I've lost the baby, I literally keep thinking of all sorts of bad outcomes I'm so nervous :S

curlypasta · 21/10/2018 22:39

Anyone else had any flutterings/bubbles? No other symptoms (but haven’t had any this early in 2 previous pregnancies-nothing til 8 weeks ish before) but tonight my pelvis feels fizzy!

curlyrebel · 21/10/2018 22:49

@curlypasta I've felt the occasional flutter but then thought it must be something else because surely 7 weeks is too early? For my last I first felt a flutter at 16 weeks. I like the sound of your fizzy pelvis

curlypasta · 21/10/2018 22:51

I know it’s just ligaments etc but it feels like my little embryo is a flying saucer tonight! Oddly comforting Smile
