Hey @curlyrebel, that’s reassuring, thanks! I totally assumed I’d experience the same things again 🤷🏻‍♀️ Glad my sense of smell isn’t hypersensitive yet, that would push my upset stomach over the edge! x x

SassehMonsta · 20/10/2018 06:01

Hypersensitive smell here too. Went out to pizza hut last night and could smell EVERYTHING. Had to focus on sniffing my own food!!

Had our early scan yesterday, went really well and strong heartbeat. Dated at 8+3 which moved me forward 2 days. EDD now 28th May! Eeeeek. Told DD(3). She declared we need to decorate a bedroom for the baby. Then got excited a bit later on.

My sister was shocked and pleased but lost a longstanding bet with her boyfriend so owes him £20 now (because she said we would stop at 1 child because of how awful my pregnancy was... dammit I'm remembering how awful it was now I'm doing it again!!).

Hand holding for all those who could do with it, hang in there ladies xx

Skee · 20/10/2018 06:56

Great news on the scan @SassehMonsta! x

Napssavelives · 20/10/2018 07:06

Glad the scan went well. I really don’t feel pregnant (apart from falling asleep at 7 last night) in worried that something going to go wrong :( my back ache that I had at week 4 is gone, boobs feel a bit fuller and tender but nothing major. I shouldn’t be wishing sickness upon myself but then I guess I’d know the hormones were doing their thing . (A side note.. I do struggle with anxiety so this is going to be a theme throughout!)

inneedofaliein · 20/10/2018 07:24

Hi everyone,

Just found this thread.. will say hi and then try to have a catch up!

I'm 8+2 with baby number 3

Already have two girls- 21 months and almost 5. Number three was still up for debate but we've had a happy accident so that's made the decision!

Had an early scan yesterday which was lovely and most importantly confirmed that there is just one baby!

Congrats to everyone here and I look forward to getting to know you all xx

socktastic · 20/10/2018 07:57

Hello all pulls up a chair

Got my bfp yesterday. Terrified as last pregnancy ended in mc at 6 weeks. First pregnancy was mmc at the 12 week scan. I have a wee boy though who is 2 and if the apps are anything to go by, my due date would be on his 3rd birthday!

Hope everyone is feeling well. I'm just 4+4 at the moment, sickness has started round about week 7 for me.

Hope this one stays put!

Reastie · 20/10/2018 08:41

Naps I struggle with anxiety too so we can be anxious together if you like! Anxiety in pg last time was terrible and I didn’t realise how bad it was until afterwards when I was back to normal.

I slept 10.5 hours last night and I still woke up feeling as tired as I was before I went to bed!

Hi socktastic

rollerskaterdata · 20/10/2018 09:30

Welcome to all the newbies!

@Stormwhale I'm sorry to hear you're worried, I really hope it means absolutely nothing bad. I know symptoms can come and go x

@SassehMonsta so glad your scan went well, it's always nice being dated forwards!

8+2 here and at a wedding all day today. Wondering how I'm going to hide not drinking/puking 🧐

OP posts:
SassehMonsta · 20/10/2018 10:16

Good luck at the wedding!! Can you talk in advance to the bar staff and ensure that when you order gin and tonic it's entirely tonic or something similar? Bar staff are usually quite good at that.

I'm actually sitting waiting to take an exam this morning, doing a supervised MENSA test for the first time!

RC000 · 20/10/2018 12:04

Welcome to newbies!

Early scan today and all looking okay. Put me at 7+5 on measurements.

Felt horrendous this morning-light headed and so hungover but obviously wasn't!

Stormwhale · 20/10/2018 12:30

@SassehMonsta and @RC000 - that is fabulous news about your scans. I am so pleased for you both.

Congratulations to the newbies!

Having a bit of a better day here. I'm still having some pain, but I was awake in the night with painful boobs and feeling sicky at 5am. All good signs things might just be ok so I'm trying to keep positive.

stellarfox · 20/10/2018 13:59

@Napssavelives I don’t have many symptoms either and it’s worrying. I only have slight cramping and boob soreness has gone. I’ve had a sore back but I’ve also been walking around NYC so it might just be that. I’m 7+2 and still no morning sickness. I’m worried about a mmc. 😔

Napssavelives · 20/10/2018 14:38

Me too, not sure how common mmc are. I used to work in gynaecology so saw a lot but not sure if they are as common as my head thinks

socktastic · 20/10/2018 14:46

Try not to worry about mmc. They're actually not that common.

If it helps, my morning sickness didn't start until 7 weeks with one pregnancy but started almost instantly with my first one. That one unfortunately did end in mmc, my symptoms went so I thought I'd just come to the end of them and was getting better.

Some people don't have morning sickness at all. My friend had no sickness whatsoever with her first. She's now 11 weeks with her 2nd and has been ill since before she found out at about 5 weeks.

Kescilly · 20/10/2018 14:54

Good afternoon ladies! How is everyone doing today?

I can’t tell if I’m feeling sick from my cold or if it’s morning sickness. Nervously counting the days till my scan next week.

I’ve been trying not to get attached, but I do find myself thinking about how nice it would be to tell people. My parents already know but we are waiting to tell my in-laws at twelve weeks. My husband’s an only so this would be their first grandchild.

fee1234 · 20/10/2018 15:16

I told my best friend yesterday, she asked if I was and I couldn't hide it. It's been nice having her to talk to about it.

I've been feeling very nauseous this week, tried out the sea bands but they just dig in to my wrists, I do think they are working a little bit though.

All I've been able to stomach is beige foods, bread, crisps, fairy cakes, scones, the sight of a vegetable makes me want to be sick which isn't great! Hope I'm getting my nutrients from the pre natal vitamins.

JBCG · 20/10/2018 17:10

Hi everyone 😊Tentatively checking in! Got a BFP on Monday with #1. Only stopped taking Cerazette on 13th September but 3 very clear BFPs so not entirely sure of EDD as haven't had a cycle since coming off the pill although (thinking around 20th June). Slightly terrified as have no idea what to expect and feel like I'm panicking at every little twinge and ache. Trying to quit smoking as well which is a bit of a struggle! Hopefully I'll get my head around it all soon!

curlypasta · 20/10/2018 17:24

@JBCG welcome Smile June the 20th is going to be a busy day!! I quit when I had my first, this is bump #3, but it was hard. after the 12 week scan I realised how it was real and didn’t smoke after that, then had one at that New Year’s Eve and god it was horrible, I think the bump causes your tastes to change. Try not having one first thing and see how you feel later in the day- good luck!!

coastergirl · 20/10/2018 19:49

Hello there!

I wasn't going to join this early, but I need to talk!

I had a miscarriage at 6.5 weeks in August, but the pregnancy was only measuring around 4 weeks on a scan. I have a little boy who is 3 and a half and a completely amazing lunatic!

First cycle after mc was 35 days (previously 28 days) and this was second cycle, so I'm not sure how far I am. All negatives until a couple of days ago when I got the faintest line on an IC. Since then had incredibly strong positives on frer and cb digital. Got a weeks indicator one to do tomorrow.

What I'm finding weird is that my boobs are fairly ok (agony in very early pregnancy previously) but I have what feels like ligament pains, but it seems far too early! Last couple of days though I've had loads of stretching pains at the sides of my groin. Any thoughts? Not expecting other symptoms because I never felt remotely sick with my little boy.

Congratulations to you all! The group of ladies I met on here when I had my little boy were incredible. Hoping I get to stick around.

ButtonTum · 20/10/2018 20:23

Marking my place on this new thread - what a chatty bunch
Welcome @coastergirl ~ I've also been having groin twinge / strains. I had these last time too but totally forgot about them until they popped up again this week.

Was feeling pretty smug that I've not had v many symptoms thus far then BOOM, nausea has hit me this evening like a train

NatalieBee · 20/10/2018 20:32

@coastergirl its funny how two pregnancy can be so different with my little girl (shes also 3) my boobs were ok but this time they are agony and with her I had no sickness but this time I constantly feel sick!

I do agree tho my bus with my DD was and still is so amazing, so am also hoping to get that this time again!

coastergirl · 20/10/2018 20:32

@ButtonTum thank you! How far along are you? I just can't understand why I'd have these feelings so early on. It's weird. I only remember feeling this when pregnant with my little boy though. Didn't feel it with the mc, so maybe that's a good sign. I don't know. I might be clutching at straws.

coastergirl · 20/10/2018 20:34

@NatalieBee it's just so weird! I have everything crossed that I don't get sick. I'm one of those weird people who never vomits so I would find it so hard. I know every pregnancy is different though, and this is with my new partner so could be entirely different.

ButtonTum · 20/10/2018 20:42

@coastergirl I'm 7 weeks tomorrow, due 9th June. Ah how exciting for you and new DP!

@NatalieBee I also have a wonderful first bus so yay for this one - not disappointing so far

ButtonTum · 20/10/2018 20:45

I'm still not having any luck joining the FB group. Am I doing something wrong? Could someone maybe add me rather than sending an invitation if I pm my email address?
