Calling all up-duffed Yammers! Come and continue the swearing and the love on our pregnancy thread, and let us never forget how lucky we are! Smile

Bugger me - second thread already! 24 weeks today Yamsters Grin

Hopeislost · 14/10/2018 14:42

Hello new thread! 👋

I have mainly slept this weekend. The sickness is gone but the exhaustion is still there. 14 weeks tomorrow! Smile

Si1ver · 14/10/2018 15:09

25 weeks today!

The system is lovely @SoozC, we went for a Oyster 2 with a maxi cosi car seat and iso fix base.

My dad's really superstitious about prams being bought too early, so it's all getting delivered to their place and they'll bring it down to us in December.

LimpLettice · 14/10/2018 15:20

Second thread yay!

I went back to sleep for about an hour but not great although arse now firmly on sofa. Awaiting DD, she's finally got the Harry Potter big so we're working our way through.

35 weeks tomorrow, it's no wonder I'm shattered. Bump is very tight and I can feel the poor boy is a bit squished in there. Head very low too which is exacerbating the yammers waddle nicely 🙄

LimpLettice · 14/10/2018 15:20

Bug ffs.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 14/10/2018 22:58

Hi Yammers!

Still alive! Lol. I feel the need to say that every now and then 😂. My mum got a bit upset yesterday bless her, she stood there looking at me and said "Today you actually look pregnant instead of poorly".

Almost 23 weeks here, it's quite funny because I will probably end up having baby before @Si1ver and @WonkyDonk87 due to being induced 😮.

So exciting for the ladies buying bits and bobs. I'm terribly superstitious so I will be at least 33 weeks before I buy anything lol. I have written my little list though. I saved all my DD's clothes, moses basket etc (All very pink!) So we will have to replace it all with blue.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 14/10/2018 22:59

@LimpLettice. My eldest like Harry Potter, which works out well because I love Harry Potter!

DoAsDreamersDo · 15/10/2018 09:40

Checking into our new thread. I’m coming up to 33 weeks now! Fanny pads for heavy postpartum bleeds have been bought and I even bought some big knickers to hold them in 🤦‍♀️ What is this baby doing to me 🤪

WonkyDonk87 · 15/10/2018 10:17

@DoAsDreamersDo I've been a fan of massive knickers for years, didn't need pregnancy to make that leap 😂

LimpLettice · 15/10/2018 16:07

Very glad you're surviving Looking! She is loving H.P. and it's quite exciting watching it with her. I've always been a big fan but seeing how thrilling she finds it is lovely. Parents want to take her to the studios over Christmas and I've said sure but only if I get to come too!

Big knickers agogo here, I like to think they're retro. Poor DH Grin

SoozC · 15/10/2018 21:32

Glad you're doing okay, Looking.

Sounds like a good system, Si1ver. I just bought a cheap one! Tell me, how does one find out if the car seat one has is suitable for one's car?

I am not doing big knickers, all mine are under-bump. I will buy some though, for after the birth!

I am a massive Harry Potter geek! I've been on the studio Tour three times (but it would have been more except for finding people to go with). We should have a Yammer visit one school day next summer when we're all on maternity! I'm going in February with baby but happy to go again Grin

I would totally be up for a HP Yammers meet. I bloody love HP.

I think it depends if you've got an isofix seat or not. I think non isofix works with all cars. There was some online checker that we picked the model of seat and put in our car details and it told us whether or not it would fit. I think it was on the Mothercare website.

LimpLettice · 16/10/2018 09:42

My kitchen window overlooked the quidditch pitch throughout filming, although I sold that flat, and my closest friend lives just up from Privet Drive, so right next to the Studio, and yet I have never been. A Yammers HP meet sounds amazing.

Our seat is both isofix and seatbelt which I think a lot are - most manufacturers should have a fitting checker. Halfords will check for you as well. We have managed to fit isofix without help but when DD was small I found being shown how to do it safely and quickly by them reassuring.

I have been in big knickers for many years - under bump just cut me in half and even standard bridgets are no longer cutting the mustard with this great lump :)

Have started having massive hot flushes - had this last time but it is beyond a joke. Half the office are in jumpers and I am stripped down with all the fans on me. I wish it would stop being so bloody mild and get properly cold.

DoAsDreamersDo · 16/10/2018 21:36

Haha why do Yammers all like HP? That’s so weird isn’t it! I’ve not done the studio tour yet - I’ve been to wizarding world in universal studios a couple of times though 🤓

SoozC · 16/10/2018 21:46

Your window...overlooked the Quidditch pitch?! Please explain! I am very jealous now! Photos?!

Dreamers, I love that we love HP! I'm jealous you going to the Wizarding World - was it good? I'd love to walk around in Hogsmeade.

The Studio Tour is pretty good though, I would absolutely love to go with you guys, all pushing our buggies!!!

Aw a yammers HP meet up would be ace! I've only done the studio tour once, but would love to go again!

LimpLettice · 17/10/2018 10:02

No photos Sooz I am afraid. Going back years and it never even occurred to me! My old flat was overlooking Leavesden Aerodrome before the new complex was built. Privet Drive is on a newish estate over there, and the aerodrome was used for quite a few outdoor sets. If I am remembering aright, it was one end of quidditch pitch with hoops. Mostly you couldn't see the sets as they were too low and there was an industrial building in the way but this was a bit higher. Defo up for a meet there.

DoAsDreamersDo · 17/10/2018 11:09

Walking around Hogsmeade was amazing!! I've not been since Diagonal Alley opened, but can't wait to do that one as well!!

A HP meet up would be so much fun x

SoozC · 17/10/2018 12:51

I had such a vivid dream last night of having a baby girl... I could feel her weight and smell her skin and see her face, it was incredible! I do remember, though, that hubby wasn't there and saying "He's going to be so surprised she's a girl!"

I'm happy to organise a meet, if it can be timed so no one has an absolute newborn! Otherwise we can all help each other out. I'm going to look forward to it! Grin

Have taken myself to bed in a grump today ladies. Went to my pregnancy fitness class and the other women were 'all bump' and slim everywhere else. I feel like a whale. I know I've been eating crap so it was bound to catch up with me sooner or later. FFS.

Si1ver · 18/10/2018 08:10

Everyone at my prego yoga class is the same @WonkyDonk87. I'm not sure I'm going back for the next block.

Hopeislost · 18/10/2018 08:38

@WonkyDonk87 & @Si1ver I had the opposite problem. I went to try a pregnancy yoga class and felt like an imposter because everyone had these huge bumps and I don't even look pregnant!

WonkyDonk87 · 18/10/2018 08:45

Thanks for the reassurance - glad to know it's not only me! I struggle with my self image anyway (tall and broad has never been mouldable into delicate ladylike). I felt pretty fraud like at 14 weeks when I started, now just feel massive everywhere despite bump. I suspect the problem is in my head and not my body Will keep going and manage the mind-talk, too important to keep active. Will re-start evening walks too I think.

BGDino · 18/10/2018 09:54

Hello everyone, 11 weeks 5 days here, been hit really hard by morning sickness and exhaustion. Basically not functioning at home and barely functioning at work. Thank god for my mum and husband who have been looking after me at home. Roll on second trimester!!!

WonkyDonk87 · 18/10/2018 11:29

Not long now @BGDino , hopefully will ease up for you soon. When's your scan?
