Good luck! Hope it all goes as smoothly as possible!

LimpLettice · 09/11/2018 08:27

Well Yammers that was a bloody long night, but my little dot of a teeny boy is here! I won't frighten you with the horrors, but back to back, 12 hours with no pain relief on an open ward and 8 hours stalled at 3cm. Birth was wonderful though, the epidural was a wondrous thing. I'll stick a pic on fb now.

Si1ver · 09/11/2018 08:52

Oh congratulations Limp what wonderful news.

SoozC · 09/11/2018 09:41

Pinkemi · 09/11/2018 13:03

Si1ver · 09/11/2018 14:36

Hello @Pinkemi

Pinkemi · 09/11/2018 14:40

Grin Hey @Si1ver. Thought I better come over here so I wasn't annoying the yam fam lot with my pregnancy worries!

LimpLettice · 09/11/2018 15:09

Congratulations Pinkemi! I did see lurking yesterday but was a tinchy bit distracted 😊

Should be home by 8, goddess willing. I need a couple of hours haven't slept in 36, and it's hotter than hell in here.

Hopeislost · 09/11/2018 15:19

Congratulations @LimpLettice !

And welcome @Pinkemi !

Hopeislost · 09/11/2018 15:21

How do I join the Facebook group?

SoozC · 09/11/2018 15:51

Welcome, Pink! I saw your bfp but didn't want to tell you to head over here in case it sounded a bit "in your face" to the other Yammers, so I'm glad you made it here of your own volition!

If newbies message me on here with your FB email address, I can send you a link to the group. :)

Got a house update, Yammers - we got our mortgage!! I am beyond relieved; I never did tell DH about my worries/stupidity although I will once we've actually completed on the place. For now, I'm going to do work hard on the paperwork and organising a builder to come and sort it out in the new year before we move in.

In different news, I know I'm being unreasonable, but I'm having a baby party in a few weeks' time (mainly because I'm so happy to get this far this time and also because by the time he's born people will have probably had their Christmas/NY holidays and may not be able to come visit for some time into 2019, so I wanted to see people and have a bit of a laugh).
Anyway, that's not what I'm being unreasonable about! My unreasonableness comes from the fact that NONE of my close friends (known each other since primary/early secondary school) are coming. So, about two months' notice isn't enough time? Not all of them have kids, two of them were bridesmaids for me. Not one of my friends have seen me preggers and that makes me sad. I know people say that your pregnancy is only important to you, but I thought they'd make an effort. I would for them.

Anyway. Hmph.

Yay Limp congratulations (again) xx

Welcome pinkemi congratulations on the BFP x I hope you have a happy and healthy 8 months (now that you’re already about a month in) x

Ok Sooz congratulations on the mortgage! And don’t worry about friends who can’t make your baby party... the important people will be there x

SoozC · 09/11/2018 17:13

Thanks, Dreamers. As I said, I know I'm being unreasonable about it.

Congratulations Pink and a very warm welcome - feel free to share all your pregnancy worries and irrationalities with us.

What a fab day for good news all round, Yammette arrival, Yam-in-Oven and a Yam House on the way too. Let's all celebrate with ....... oh. Bugger. Never mind.

Pinkemi · 10/11/2018 17:00

I am beyond furious with my IVF clinic. I called a couple of days ago with my BFP and asked them to send me some more progesterone tablets as am running low. They said they would post some out to me. Anyway fast forward to today and i only have about 3 days left of tablets. I called them and they hadnt even ordered them! The woman i spoke to on the phone hadnt done it!

I now have to go to the clinic on monday morning before work and pick up a few days worth.. until my prescription comes in. Urgh! It takes me over an hour to get to the clinic. :-(

They also hadnt referred me for my 7 week scan. Gah!!

Si1ver · 10/11/2018 17:11

That's shocking Pinkemi I would be making a complaint. Ask them to prescribe you enough to get right through until you need to stop now as you don't want to go through that again.

BGDino · 12/11/2018 08:37

Congrats @Limp, congrats and welcome @Pinkemi and congrats on the house @SoozC!

Nothing to report here... 15 weeks and counting, still looking fat as opposed to pregnant, still nauseous! Though now intermittently rather than continuously. OGTT, thyroid ultrasound, home sleep study, psychiatrist review and 16/40 obstetrician appointment all booked in over the next 12 weeks!

BGDino · 12/11/2018 08:38

2 weeks not 12 weeks!

Hopeislost · 12/11/2018 08:55

18 weeks today and I've just found my first stretch marks; angry-looking purple stripes on my boobs.

Do any of the stretch mark products work or is it all nonsense?

Si1ver · 12/11/2018 09:54

No idea @Hopeislost. I've been oiling my bump and boobs with bio oil to try and prevent them and I've not got any yet (29 weeks) although I do have weird thread/spider veins on my thighs and side of my bump. Also the old scar from my belly button piercing has weirdly migrated up my stomach.

18 weeks though! That's so exciting \0/

Pinkemi · 12/11/2018 11:01

@Si1ver I would complain but I dont really know who to complain to.. and my DH was like.. whats the point when we want to use them again in the future for a sibling. (We paid for multi cycle.)

They were VERY apologetic this morning for the fact that I have had to come in and get more medication. She said to expect the company to call me today to arrange posting.. but so far nothing! If i haven't heard by lunch time then I should chase.. Which i replied.. I shouldn't HAVE to be chasing anything! The prescription hadn't even been signed off by the doctor yet!!! It was only done today! the are only allowed to give me today a "few days worth." (Breathe) I also asked them to chase up my referral for my 7 week scan and she said she was "going to make sure it was done.. if not done already." Should really have taken her name just in case.. but again.. I'm having to phone the hospital if I haven't heard anything by Wednesday. Urgh.

@BGDino I am worrying about this also... I currently weigh just above 16 stone (after putting on a bit through this process with the meds) and am REALLY worried about just looking FAT instead of pregnant. Sad I've been googling "safe pregnancy weight loss" just to see if its possible.. and praying for Morning sickness so I can't eat! lol

Si1ver · 12/11/2018 11:51

Complaining doesn't have to be aggressive @Pinkemi. You are paying them for this service and by not processing your medication request they are jepardising your health and pregnancy. You need to have these suppositories. Do you know how much longer they want you on them for and how much have you got in hand at the moment?

I would call the clinic and say you're unhappy with the service at the moment and that you'd like your concerns escalated and ask for someone to call you back to help resolve the ongoing issues. The bottom line is that you're out of meds that you supposedly need to maintain your pregnancy and that's not acceptable and they need to fix it rather than have you chasing about after them. It's really lucky that to you were able to go in today.

Pinkemi · 12/11/2018 12:49

So I have enough to last me until the end of the week. Just had the email to say that the rest of my meds will be delivered on Wednesday! Phew!

Still no update on my 7 week scan though.. ill be watching the post box like a hawk! haha

DH is now away for most of this week.. So I am going to go home and cook up a big batch of soup for my lunches! Really need to start eating healthily because at 5 +2, Bubba will start feeding off me soon.

Really not sure what to do about calling the midwife.. Part of me feels like I should wait until 7 week scan.. but then If i can lose a bit of weight safely before hand.. I would like to do that! Everything I read says you need your doctor / midwifes permission to join Slimming world while pregnant.. Id like to start exercising too but not sure how much is too much.

Really want to make sure i'm providing everything i need physically for Bubba but also not push it too far... and.. well you know...
