Did your DD get you up? Or are you a saddo like me who needed Rice Krispies?

I think Bumper must've hit the hay again.

hollyandalice · 17/06/2007 06:15

No, ALice is still asleep! I was starving and needed croissants! I have got apricot jam all over the laptop though, it is all sticky! Dp will be cross!

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 06:19

I hate the fact that I've been awak since 4!

Especially as I'm the one who will have to get up tomorrow morning too!

hollyandalice · 17/06/2007 06:22

I've been awake on and off all night. Dp was snoring, so I went in the spare room, but it is too hot in there, then I was thirsty, then I needed about 87 wees and then I was hungry! I honestly think I'll sleep better when LO is waking for feeds ever 2 hours! Being pg is pretty shit!

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 06:27

I wake up at 4 every morning, but usually fall back to sleep within an hour. Was too hungry today though.

Just going to wait for the papers to be delivered then head back to bed

hollyandalice · 17/06/2007 06:28

I'm gonna go back to bed in a sec and read for a bit. Hopefully dp has shut up so I can go and lie down in my lovely new bedroom!

hollyandalice · 17/06/2007 06:31

Right, I'm off! Pingu, I hope things are going well and your bubs is born really soon!

Foxy, hope you get back to sleep at some point, no-one should be awake at this time, it's just wrong!

hollyandalice · 17/06/2007 06:34

Oh bollocks, dp has just started snoring again, I can hear him from downstairs and I think it's just woken alice up, I just heard a little girlie noise! Shit!

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 06:36

Make him get up then!

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 07:10

Morning girlies!

Pingu, what's the news? How are you??

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 07:20

Pingu
If you give birth before me I am going to get mad
In fact actually I except everyone here to give birth before me, and most of July too.

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 07:23

except?! I mean expect. Too early in the morning. Am I alone on here?

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 08:49

Come on people!!

Pingu, wassup?!

I have had enough now. I NEED MY LABOUR TO BEGIN.

beckmo · 17/06/2007 08:55

I've never visited this thread before trendaverter but if its any consolation I'm 9 days overdue today....

Have stopped sitting on my birthing ball and taken to giving it a good kicking everytime I walk by it.

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 09:02

Hello Beckmo!
Welcome to our ante natal group We're a bit rude but you are very welcome to join us esp now our numbers are depleting as people keep going off to have their babies!

I am 14 days overdue today. I feel like shit. I am mentally, emotionally, physically drained, I am just sitting here thinking what the hell is wrong with me half the time.

I feel like a failure!! Also I am wondering if anything wrong with LO?

Not sure how much longer I can take it. By the end of every day I feel ok, but every morning I wake up and want to either (a) cry (b) punch the crap out of something (c) run to hospital hands in air shouting 'ok, you win, induce me!

How are you?

trendaverter · 17/06/2007 09:38

well I need to go a 'do' stuff to keep my mind off how shit I am.
Will be back later... good luck pingu x

hollyandalice · 17/06/2007 09:39

TA you still around??

Don't feel like a failure, you are far far from it! Your baby just needs to be cooked a bit longer. I wish I'd have explored my options a bit before being induced with my dd, you are really strong giving your body time to get going on it's own! Keep going, you are great!!

bumperlicious · 17/06/2007 10:09

Morning (again), I'm up again. Went to sleep in the spare room and DH bought me in a cup of tea this morning and felt bad, said I should have kicked him out. So, back in the spare room for him tonight. I know I'm going to have to get used to it but I was panicking thinking if I go into labour I've only had 2 hours sleep!

I must've just missed you all anyway! I hope you manage to get more sleep all of you, esp you foxy, make the most of your last few hours of freedom!

Pingu, sounds like things are progressing for you.

TA, hope you are ok. You are NOT a failure. What you have to remember is that pg is 37-42 weeks on average, they give you an estimated due date, but that is all it is, estimated, because they don't know exactly when you conceived. So technically you may not even be 'overdue' until today, IYSWIM. We are all here for you anyway. Don't let those bastards at the hospital scare monger you - go with your instincts.

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 10:48

Beckmo - LOL at kicking the ball! Hope you are bearing up ok!

TA - you are NOT a failure, you are Not a wanker! I think you are doing really well, and admire you for taking your stand, and asking for what you want! I've found all this induction talk really helpful, and its helped me make my mind up about things.

But I know how hard it was going 10 days over, so by 14 you must be ready to kill.

Are you doing all the necessary? Mango juice, walking, shagging, pineapple, shagging, nipple stim, walking, shagging.. you get the picture

foxybrown · 17/06/2007 10:49

Right, I'm off for a long walk. See you later!

Pingu, have you left for the hospital? Fingers crossed for you xx

daisyboo · 17/06/2007 11:06

TA...don't despair hun...it's happening, all be it little slowly, but it is happening. Just remember that the due date they give you is not based on anything concrete. They don't know exactly how long it takes to cook a baby or what actually kicks off the labour process (good to know that we women, being the superior beings that we are, have actually foxed medical science ) Don't think of being overdue, think of your bub as being not quite cooked enough.

It is frustrating I know, but we'll try to keep you sane. And as holly and foxy have said;...you are not a failure or a wanker, just a fed up and frustrated slightly hormonal bundle of anxiety.....try to relax and get your strength up for what lies ahead

Hi Beckmo........you must have been on the thread at some point as I think you are on the stats thread! Welcome and hello anyway and I hope things get going for you soon.

Pingu...you've probably gone to the hospital by now, but Good Luck hun.

Off to do Fathers Day stuff today....taking Em out for her first meal out, LOL, but I'll check in later.

Foxy.....why no chocolate, champagne, strawberrie or OJ? Sounds like my idea of a balanced diet

bumperlicious · 17/06/2007 11:06

Hi Beckmo btw - sorry to ignore you!

How you doing trendaverter?

Did no-one look at my really funny links yesterday - I thought they were inspired!

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 17/06/2007 11:07

Btw, looks like we will need a new thread title soon! This one has lasted us - ooh - 3 days?! Don't want it to sneak up on us then lose everyone like the last one!

Anyone got any inspiration?

OP posts:
daisyboo · 17/06/2007 11:16

Morning Bumper....sorry you've had a rough night...maybe I should check in when I'm feeding Em (maybe after DH has gone back to work......he will think I'm really sad if he saw that; he just doesn't understand the whole mumsnet thing)

Have a long rest today!

Did DH like his pressies. My poor DH got a video and CD as I just grabbed something when I was in ASDA the day before my c-section....I didn't even get it wrapped until this morning, and poor DH was up with DS at 6:30 as usual! I'm taking him out for tea though so he doesn't have to cook...I don't feel up to doing a big meal just yet!!

Wound still very painful and pongy (not nice), but hopefully the ABs will kick in soon. I'm bloody fed up with it all and so want to get back to normal....glad DH has got lots of time off work; I cant imagine having to do the school run like this!

bumperlicious · 17/06/2007 11:23

When I see DH's car come in I usually close down the laptop to make it not look like I have spent ALL day on here (even though he knows I have!). He was v chuffed with his prezzies! Hope you all have a lovely meal out tonight.

I hope your scar heels up soon. When does DH go back to work? And how is the mystic red ranger feeling?
