Right, I am going to text Catkin in a min. She has been absent for ages after posting that she had pre eclampsia. Do you think it is cheeky if I text her and find out how she is?

Sounds great daisy! I have told dp that he'll be cooking for a while after the baby is born. I have no idea what sort of food I shall be served, I am a bit worried! He never cooks!

hollyandalice · 14/06/2007 17:20

I was gonna phone dp and ask him to get chips on the way home, but he's just pulled up outside...ARSE!!

daisyboo · 14/06/2007 17:22

dh is a great cook, but i'm such a control freak in the kitchen i usually don't relinquish control, and when i do i'm a bit ..."oh, i usually do it this way" until he chases me out with the carving knife!! he's happy that i'm not interfering!!

daisyboo · 14/06/2007 17:23

he'll just have to go out again holly!

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 17:27

Foxy, is a pessary ok to use when pg?

annobal · 14/06/2007 17:27

Have just put the kid's supper on - sausages for dinner tonight (again). DH has left over pizza from last night so I am looking forward to a scratch dinner - we've just had our fresh fruit and veg delivery so think I'll tuck into that .

annobal · 14/06/2007 17:29

Bumper, I used a pessary a while ago. I also used a 10% cream that I had to 'insert' and that worked really quickly (one application). You'd need a prescription for it though.

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 17:35

The dr prescribed me some cream, it's "1%" though Sorry I'm making a really big deal out of this aren't I, just never had it before so a bit clueless and I'm due Monday so panicking a bit. I know it's not dangerous if the LO gets it, I just don't want anything making things harder than necessary!

I'll go tomorrow to the pharmacy and see what else I can get.

Here you all are!!
I dont think Pingus found us yet - she was the last post on the last thread at 17:29 (i think)

Well Ive just spent £325, but alas I havent even got a nice pair of shoes to show for it - just boring old bath taps/traps and wastes!! and Ive just been told the waste has to go back - it doesnt fit!!! AGGHHHH Am quite proud of myself though, did it all alone - so if DP didnt like them - it was TOUGH!!

justbeme · 14/06/2007 17:45

OOHH and SFL - Congratlulations!!! Yayyyyy!! I like the name!!

bumperlicious · 14/06/2007 17:48

That's bizarre coz when I went to try and post a link to the new thread on the old one it wouldn't let me, and I was the last poster

Bumper, get the pessary if you can buy it over the counter - it works a lot quicker. Also, definitely go to Neils Yard - they sell Australian Bush Essence (called Green Essence) that is brilliant. You can also get a homeopathic remedy called candida albicans and various tea combinations Pau D'arco is good (esp with a pinch of cinnamon. This combination seems to have gotten rid of it.

As you can tell, I've had this problem for a while

foxybrown · 14/06/2007 17:54

Yea for SFL! Fabulous news and huge congrats xxx

Bumper, the cream is truely crap. You need a pessery. Get DH to get one on the way home!

Fish and chips for tea. can't be arsed.

foxybrown · 14/06/2007 17:57

Don't know how I managed to post the same message half an hour apart

did manage to have my evening melt-down in between.

God, what must the neighbours think???

Yes, Bumper, its fine to use the pessery during pg. I got some from my handsome doctor and my MW this week. Just not the applicator.

Hi Ladies

Posted this on old thread too!

Still no bambinos in the night, and my 'post-prostaglandin pains' of yesterday have since died a death. I'm thoroughly bored now. I think being given an actual due date is dangerous for a pregnant woman, in the sense that you obsess over it and become frenzied if it passess you by! I'm 40+5 now and losing my rag.
TA, it's great that you've finally had your show, I keep looking out for mine, but nada. Baby is so quiet as well, worringly. I've just wolfed down some ice-creama in an attempt to wake him/her up, but to no avail.
Bloody midwife didn't even make an appt with me for this week, so I called today to ask what I should do. 'Oh, just call into the drop in clinic at some point', came the concerned reply. I know we may act a little precious about our own pregnancies and that they see the same old thing everyday, but I do wish they didn't always seem so bored by me.
Anyway, rant over. I hope you're all well ladies. I would love I am a shining example of earth-mother nesting loveliness, but actually, my house is covered in doggy-hair, sink is full of dishes and I've eaten 3 mini-packs of haribo and a chunky kit-kat on top of that ice cream

pingu x

daisyboo · 14/06/2007 18:21

bumper....i'm thinking that at this stage of pg, the pessary will be ok.
due on monday......don't forget i'm your text buddy.....

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 18:24

Come on all, let's get some babies out, mostly mine (of course)!

Well my pains have all but stopped but I have had an extremely spicy dinner and I am going to pursuade DH to close his eyes and think of england tonight.

Spicy doesn't seem to do much though does it?
Poo bum bored bored bored.

daisyboo · 14/06/2007 18:25

hi DG...hope this is the start of things for you....keep us updated.

try to keep positive pingu.....have they not booked you in for a stretch and sweep?....you can always try a self sweep ala lulumamas advice....it worked for Derlor, LOL

foxy....our neighbour swears she "never hears a sound" from our house, but I think she's just being polite

daisyboo · 14/06/2007 18:27

TA...I'm really feeling your frustration now.....I just wish I could have this baby for you now!

derlor · 14/06/2007 18:31

OOOHHHH TA - yippee on your elephants sneeze!!! - something DEFINATELY happening now - yippee yippee yippee (Derlor jumps up and down clapping with excitement)

SFL - huge congratulations LOVE the name it was one of our boys names too

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 18:31

Pingu don'tr worry please, I am 41+4, it's really disheartening for a while but you get used to it, it's ok really.

Try to be positive, believe me I know it's hard but you are not alone and it WILL come!!

Yes I agree with Daisy, go for a sweep, mine was horrid BUT I did have my show the next day and I am in all sorts of funny pains tonight, just be positive and fill your face with chocolate while you still can avoid the guilt factor.

I'd give you a hug if I could but hang on in there!

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 18:33

Hey Daisy, if it was in any way possible I'd probably take you up on it, I am beginning to think there is a lot to be said for surrogacy

Hello Derlor how are ya?!

derlor · 14/06/2007 18:34

i'm good thanks TA, except for bloody sore norks!!!

daisyboo · 14/06/2007 18:35

Derlor....stop that jumping up and down and ....you'll wake the baby!
