would expressing milk equal nipple stimulation? or do you actually have to be turned on? I've bought a mini medela in the hope that I can give breastfeeding a real go, can you express milk before you've even had the baby?

pinguthepenguin · 14/06/2007 19:10

gosh, just looked at my last post, I'm a twit.

hollyandalice · 14/06/2007 19:12

Yep, expressing works as nipple stim and you can try and express before the birth, but you will only get out a little dribble yellowy/orange colostrum. I need to get my pump down from the loft and see if nipple stim works for me!

doggus · 14/06/2007 19:12

Ooh, DG, good luck, it's like watching live TV or something here.

TA - I am totally with you on the bf thing. I am going to give it a go, but have bought some bottles and stuff just in case. I actually feel a bit squeamish about it which isn't like me.

Derlor, you naughty girl, you just called a sweet innocent lo a BUGGER! (tries to get derlor into trouble). What was it we got bollocked for last time - was it 'bastard'?

hollyandalice · 14/06/2007 19:12

Nope doggus, it was fucker !!

hollyandalice · 14/06/2007 19:15

Oh dear, have I just offended everyone ?

annobal · 14/06/2007 19:16

Good luck DG!

pinguthepenguin · 14/06/2007 19:16

has anyone actuallu used exressing as nipple stim and it worked?

pinguthepenguin · 14/06/2007 19:18

I mean, to encourage labour?

annobal · 14/06/2007 19:18

LOL Holly. Think I might have used words to that effect when in labour with DS2 (as 'get this fucker out of me') .

foxybrown · 14/06/2007 19:26

DG is in labour and still advising on bf'ing. Now that's professional!

Good luck DG!

And keep us posted, we can have an ante-natal/natal/post natal thread in one! Yea!

daisyboo · 14/06/2007 19:28

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 19:29

Sorry I am here, kind of, just watching celeb masterchef. I am a glutton for crap tv.

Did you lot get bollocked? I call it a sod/bugger all the time, oops

daisyboo · 14/06/2007 19:32

bugger, i've missed it. who went this time?

Did anyone see the apprentice last night. I was gutted that Simon won, I was rooting for christina as she had a bit of oomph about her and had worked really hard to get where she is.....not a jumped up little oik like he was.

annobal · 14/06/2007 19:33

LOL Daisy - missed the apprentice last night and have just put it on repeat. Had managed to avoid all knowledge of who won.....until now!

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 19:33

no -one went it was just a cook off - they all did pretty well but Nadia's was tasteless but well presented, shaky hands man was undercooked and Midge was v good.
The final is tomorrow.

trendaverter · 14/06/2007 19:35
