Oh how exciting Pixiefish!!!!

easywriter · 15/06/2007 16:07

Well done Pixiefish and Purplepants!
I'm pleased for you both.

SGK I'm a little green with envy as I think you're top is one I've been trying to buy and failing since they don't have my size (is it next?), I love it too!

Anyone got any suggestions on where to buy white jeans (I know, I don't even usually wear jeans at all let alone white ones, but I must have them) without needing a second mortgage (i.e. around £30)?

Pixiefish · 15/06/2007 17:16

I got as goegeous pair of Red Herring jeans- Brand new with tags off Ebay. They arrived this morning and are soooooo soft. Have you tried there easywriter?

tonysmum · 15/06/2007 18:07

They offer 3D and 4D scans as well, I am so tempted!
Congratulations Pixiefish and Purplepants, I am glad everything went well.

probable won't will I- but I'm teasing him so much he might not believe me if I tell him the truth

sparklygothkat · 16/06/2007 21:29

have to tell you all about my bargain today. Went into town and saw superdrug was closing and today was the last day. Went in to see what they had left, and got 2 bottles of SF40 sunscreen for £1.16 each, but when i went through the till there was also a mutlisave of £1.59 on them. I also got some washable breastpads for 60p a box, so grabbed the last 4 boxes of those. so I am ready for breastfeeding now

Pixiefish · 16/06/2007 23:05

fab sparkly.
Just makinga mental list of what I'll need for the new baby, what I bought and bever used with dd, what I bought and still have and can re-use

RGPargy · 17/06/2007 09:32

I should write down a list of what i need for this baby. It's been so long that i have absolutely NOTHING left from DS1, although i might have saved his favourite babygrow lol.

So, let me start.....

Cot
Pushchair
clothes
nappies.....

the list is endless!

Pixiefish · 17/06/2007 09:50

I have cot although I'll need a mattress,
I have a crib although again i need a mattress.
I bought a pram the otehr week and have sold the old one which paid for it.
I have nappies after dd although i'll need dispis in hospital I spose.
I have a breast pump and bottles although I'll have to check it as it hasn't been used for 18 months.

The thing is that there was a stage where I didn't want any more kids so I sold everything so even though I have some stuff I need other stuff- I have loads of unused bedding but dd was in grobags (which I sold the 0-6 months ones but still have the 6m+ ones)

sparklygothkat · 17/06/2007 09:57

I have a cot, but no mattress.
A crib but no mattress.
I have lots of clothes that I have brought from a NCT nearly new sale.
I have my pram brought from a Mnetter.
I need a breast pump and a car seat, and a monitor.

I also got rid of everything last year as I was not going to have any more babies

RGPargy · 17/06/2007 10:39

Oh gawd, i forgot about pumps and monitors!! erk, add that to the list of 1,000 things i need!

RGPargy · 17/06/2007 11:00

Oh i just wanted to share with you all that i felt my first proper big kick last night!!!

We'd just got to the [very airy] pub and I'd just sat down. There was this awful pub singer on and while my DP went off to get me a drink, this singer had finished his song. It was then that i felt this big movement, like baby was turning over, followed by a big kick! It was great! Of course i felt nothing all night after that, but it's a start!!!

littleoldme · 17/06/2007 12:25

RG- YAY!! It's lovely isn't it.

I'm doing my best not to think about stuff too much yet as I'm so busy with work - I feel like I can only deal with one bit at time.

However, we've been given a cot,a backpack carrier thing and the promise of a second hand pram. So we're getting there.

Easy - saw some white Red Herring mat jeans in Debenhams yeasterday.

RGPargy · 17/06/2007 12:44

Yeah it's a great feeling!!!

Pixiefish · 17/06/2007 13:25

The red herring mat jeans are sooooo comfy.

RG- Won't be long till England is smoke free so you can go to pubs without worrying if it's smoky- wahey.

Fab news about feeling the kick as well.

Thankyou!

Well done baby of RGPargy.
Can't wait till we're all whinging our heads off wondering if our insides can take the blows our wee ones dish out.
(if only cos that'll mean we're a lot closer to November!

sparklygothkat · 17/06/2007 19:52

Loopy, we are near London. I was looking at the Cosy tot premium, as that is the one recommended by britax, is the cosy tot the same one??
