Good luck for your scan today purplepants

sparklygothkat · 15/06/2007 00:22

have just upload my scan pic from 13 weeks and pic of my bump, its small!

littleoldme · 15/06/2007 09:29

RG - my bump literally appeared over night at 14 weeks. I went to bed feeling uncomfortable and in the morning - there it was.

Ara - know what you mean about the bra thing. DH an I had a comedy measure of the cuppage of mine - they're wider than the top of my head!!

Loopy - They didn't used to tell you the sex in Bradford either for the same reason.

After my painful swimming episode yesterday I've taken today off work. I seem to have lost the ability to bend in the middle!

purplepants · 15/06/2007 09:46

thanks Anna am quietly nervous about the scan but my mum is coming with me so I should be Zen like come the time.

Sparkly - love your picture will try to download mine once I get back.

purplepants · 15/06/2007 10:36

MrsJetson · 15/06/2007 10:43

Morning!!

What a lot of activity in a couple of days....!

Purple - how was your scan? They are all quickly approaching - how exciting.

Well not a lot has happened over here - Annain NZ - we're in Ghana!!! Oh and I told the Counsellor very politely that I, under absolutely no circumstances, would leave my babies! Leaving DH is bad enough! DS1 will be 5 in Sept, DS2 4 in Oct and DD 2 in August! 3 months - she's off her rocker!

Oh and DS2 - yes he of willy and head injury fame - AGAIN in hospital! He fell off his bike and cracked his head open. The Doc gave him 6 anaesthetic injections around the area and then 4 BIG stitches - BUT THE BLOODY ANEASTHETIC DIDN'T WORK!! Poor little man - thank God he had an Xray and no fractures etc. Stitches to be removed next week IN ENGLAND - HOORAY! My bump was rock solid, but I could feel her kicking around - I think from my stress and possibly hearing DS2 screaming. So much for the Govt advice - no stress for babies after 17 weeks! I doubt they are pregnant mothers!

Oh good grief - the time - last day of school so I ahve to do the party thing!

You girls who are teachers are very way up in my book by the way - I had to organise a Sports Day last week for 48 3-5 year olds - it was fabulous but HARD WORK! Well done - full of admiration for you!

Pixie - feet up and look after yourself!!!!!!!

'Tis time to leave you all - I shall be in touch hopefully in a couple of weeks, if not then in late August.

GOOD LUCK with all of your scans! xxxx

sparklygothkat · 15/06/2007 10:54

I also wear that top as a dress when its very hot

choudru · 15/06/2007 11:26

Sparkly, my bump is about as big as yours. I thought I was big until I went to antenatal yoga last week. Mine was the smallest bump there!

Purplepants - good luck with your scan honey - what time is it? I can't remember if you said you would find out the sex but I hope baby cooperates if you do want to know.

I'm so glad 5 months scans have arrived - they seem like such a big milestone.

I'm VERY chuffed today - 20 weeks on the nail.

HALF WAY!!!!!!!!!!

Off to London to visit friends this weekend - hope the weather's nice down there. Up north we are all drowning like rats.

choudru · 15/06/2007 11:28

MrsJetson - your poor little boy!

I would be so mortified if same thing happened to my DS. It's hard enough watching them go through vaccinations etc never mind stitches without anaesthetic.

Hope he's getting lots of cuddles for being a brave boy.

littleoldme · 15/06/2007 12:19

Choudru - would you mind letting me know where you go to yoga? I must find a group. oh and apparantly Harewood bridge is closed so no going to Harrogate - just in case you were planning on it. Have top weekend.

Mrs J - Hope the DS is ok and that all goes well with the move.

SGK - I think you bump is perfectly formed. And I too love that top.

choudru · 15/06/2007 13:04

Littleoldme - I go to yoga space in Meanwood. Have only been once so far - is on thursday nights at 6:15 til 7:30.

£5 per session - you can have a taster and after that you book for 6 lessons at a time.

Was very relaxing and the tutor does lots of stretches etc to build up back strength.

Also good for women who are overdue because she shows you methods of encouraging baby to get into correct postion. Don't know if it works though!

choudru · 15/06/2007 13:05

You don't have any info on the M1 do you?

MrsJetson · 15/06/2007 13:08

Sparkly - your bump is lovely!!!!

sparklygothkat · 15/06/2007 13:45

I would love to do yoga, epecially as I have to relax a lot and rest during pregnancy. Anywhere in herts??

Thanks MrsJ

sparklygothkat · 15/06/2007 14:03

just found one in the next town. I had to phone them work exactly where they are, as my brain couldn;t work out the map so will doing that next week.

RGPargy · 15/06/2007 14:12

Hi Everyone!!

Happy Fridays to you all!

SGK - your bump looks lovely

Mrs Jetson - good luck with the move!

Choudru - have a fab weekend up in the big smoke. I went to yogo too the other week and found it quite nice. The only thing that puts me off is trying to get there for 7pm. Bit of a mission as i work in the City and have to commute. I did arrange for me to leave work at 5pm on Thursdays (yoga days) but for the last 2 weeks this hasn't happened either as i've been sodding-well busy!! GGRR!! My tutor is putting on an 8pm class from July for the couple of us that suffer with working in London so hopefully i will actually get to more than one class!!

Pixiefish · 15/06/2007 14:38

Just got the second and last set of amnio results back and all clear- no abnormalities detected.

Onwards and upwards.

sparklygothkat · 15/06/2007 14:39

excellent PF you can relax now

littleoldme · 15/06/2007 15:07

Huge congrats Pixie.

Choudru - according to radio 2 there's congestion a plenty on the M1 today so get ready with the eye-spy.
Thanks for the Yoga tip - I'll see you there week after next.

purplepants · 15/06/2007 15:34

Hi all - back from the scan. Thanks for the good wishes.
The machine was only a month old and the sonographer spent ages showing us all the LOs organs in detail - amazing to think that just 20 weeks ago that darling little bumdle was just 2 cells!!!!!
I asked for her not to say if she saw what flavour it was but I'm pretty convinced I saw meat & 2 veg there (so much for being sure I was having a girl!! ) Everything's looking good & dates are still bang on so just another 20 weeks & 2 days to go

Pixifish I'm so pleased all your results are back now - must be a huge relief!

Mrs Jetson - good luck for the move.

RGPargy · 15/06/2007 15:45

Pixiefish and Purplepants - Congrats to you both!! You can both relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancies and have a great weekend!

Pixiefish · 15/06/2007 15:56

purplepants- glad your scan went well and everything is in order.
What are you hoping for- apart for a baby I mean or are you not bothered.

I found out today what mine is BUT I'm not telling anyone at all. Dh wouldn't be able to keep it quiet and I don't want everyone knowing before the baby's born
