OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Bettymamma · 12/06/2007 11:03

I found this as well which appears to break it all down so you can see what they really failed on! It looks a couple of years old though.

Naetha - tell me about the pot belly! Hope the gallstone nightmare is over. My scan is week on Monday unfortunately - will be 13 1/2 weeks :-(

Housemum · 12/06/2007 11:04

This website www.birthchoiceuk.com/BirthChoiceUKFrame.htm?LocatorF rame.htm?Hospitals/144.htm gives statistics for local hospitals - haven't found "star ratings" yet though

plummymummy · 12/06/2007 11:04

Is the one star for maternity? I looked at the link naetha posted and it indicated mayday had 3 stars.

Housemum · 12/06/2007 11:04

OK - hadn't refreshed the screen - will look at your link!!

BeckyAu · 12/06/2007 11:14

Argh! My hospital has 0 stars! Dear oh dear!

plummymummy · 12/06/2007 11:20

Go for a home birth - I think I might.

Bettymamma · 12/06/2007 11:36

May Day is doing well on my site and Housemums! St Hell hole is looking a bit dodgy....

gingeme · 12/06/2007 11:50

Hi Angechica sorry to bother you love but Im totaly confused by this freecycle lark! Ive put something on to try it out. Only a few cuddly toys. Got that on but how do I know if anyone wants them ? Do I get emails? Or is there a special in box I have to go to? And how do I look for stuff that people are getting rid of? I know its off subject re this thread but Im looking for a wrdrobe for my lo's room. Help please?

plummymummy · 12/06/2007 12:22

Some people have said good things about St Helier on this site. Conversely Mayday has been slated.

beller · 12/06/2007 12:29

well mine comes up as 3 stars...we will see!

plummymummy · 12/06/2007 12:32

at least mayday does have a low c-section rate.

fruitful · 12/06/2007 12:42

Its ok.

You can actually see the baby surrounding the heartbeat now.

The sonographer was not looking hopeful and then she started the scan and said "ooh you've got a survivor!".

So next scan is apparently at 11 weeks (4 weeks time) and I have to book in with my midwife before I can book it. They change the rules every pg round here.

Baby is still implanted right next to my cervix though so we're praying the placenta grows up not across!

beller · 12/06/2007 12:44

oops its 2 stars!

Fruitful! thats great news.....bet you feel so much better, big hugs hun, was thinking of you xxxxxx

BeckyAu · 12/06/2007 12:47

YAYYYYY FRUITFUL! That's brilliant news! I am sooo pleased for you. Hooray! Can't wait for my scan now - got to wait til 2nd July thogh Grrrrr x

Bettymamma · 12/06/2007 12:57

Ahh thats lovely news! Congratulations Fruitful. Am very happy for you

hi everyone. Mind if I join the thread?
I've just recently come across this website. I'm about 9wks in with my first - due date is 9 Jan. Not feeling very pg at all (not that I know what it feels like!) so can hardly believe that it's real. Looking forward to getting a scan and seeing if there's something going on inside! (Scan not until the 28th of this month... hurry up!)

I haven't told anyone yet, except for one other friend who is also pg and a few months ahead of me.

it's been great to come here and find people worrying about the same things that I am!

look forward to chatting with you some more in the coming months!

MamaMaiasaura · 12/06/2007 13:53

welcome Sabinar!
Yup, all worries, joys and tears shared on here xxx

Naetha · 12/06/2007 15:03

Welcome Sabinar, yes this thread is brilliant for allaying all the daft fears and ideas you get (especially if you're a first timer!). Its also a great place to share all the weird and (OK, sometimes not so) wonderful things that happen along the way.

Its great to know that you can ask what seems to you like a really daft question, and have ten other people say "yeah I was wondering that too!"

Its also great when browsing forums seems to be the only thing that your brain is capable of - I know my work utilisation has dropped by loads both since I got pregnant, and especially since I discovered mumsnet!

mummyto2littleprincess · 12/06/2007 15:58

Got my first scan appoiment today and its not until 2nd july so have ages to wait dont think i can wait that long but have no choice

is anyone else having there 1st scan on 2nd july?

gingeme · 12/06/2007 16:35

Excelent fruitful. Wow what a relief for you and dp
Welcome sabiner feel free to off load were all in the same boat.
My sickness seems to be lingering today. Went for lunch at y mil and could only manage half a sandwich and a glass of water just had an apple and feel a bit better now.

MrsMcJnr · 12/06/2007 17:03

Hello Beller I do feel for you hon, it must be so hard for you, especially if you thought he was a keeper and he has disappointed you x

MrsBiscuit ? I hear you on the 5 day week being a killer, I was off yesterday as I was so exhausted and today isn?t much better. Roll on the 2nd trimester energy I?ve been promised!

PBirdy ? I know I?ve missed you but if you do read back ? I hope you have lovely hols! PBirdy ? lawyers are the worst for being so un-PC! What did he expect you to say? No it?s just something that happened in the mail room!

PinkElephant ? thanks for that info, I shall ask that at my booking in appointment tomorrow. Bet the postcode lottery means I don?t though I hear you on the amnio. At the mo I feel that I wouldn?t want one but I guess from the baby?s perspective, it?s better to be informed so that it can get the best possible treatment when born if there is something wrong ? hate to think of that though.

Barristermum ? I feel like you do, maybe this is the MS kicking in with avengence and I didn?t get let off after all. Today has been awful, mouth constantly salivating and constantly feeling like I could actually vomit. I?m 9 weeks today too. Interesting what you say about the tests. How did the scan go?

Gingeme ? hello

Awen ? hello

Hey Plummy poor you getting locked out! Hurrah for reaching your milestone Plummy. Mine was getting past cd63 Don?t feel bad, I am sure Fruitful is delighted for you, it?s these good things that keep us all going through the bad

Housemum sounds like pg hormones have you! (just retched at the thought of mayo )

Beckyau ? hey hon, symptoms come and go, they really do, try not to worry. That cry was a symptom in itself (I was watching ER the other night and was bauling, real tears for Ray ) How did your Mum react?

Spud01 ? hello, no DCs so can?t help I?m afraid.

Moominmonster ? long may you feel well!

Katyt1 - hello

Lozza70 ? I?m eating for Scotland

Mummy2tolittleprincesses ? hope the appointment goes well tomorrow!

Fruitful ? thinking of you hon, how are you? What a rollercoaster. So glad your beanie is fine

Hello PCM sounds like your DH is nesting!! Good idea re how far along we all are

Hello Goingfor3

Must go now ? need an ice lolly on the way home, more from me later xx

katyt1 · 12/06/2007 17:56

hi everyone, had my first pg hormonal moment i think!
picked ds up from nursery and they gave me a fathers day card - it nearly set me off crying! hope they didn't see...

anyhoo, hi everyone, welcome sabinar

yes, i live in southend, but had ds at home so plan to do the same. they are quite hot on home births here - to make up for hosp? who knows!

fruitful, glad all is well, hope placenta behaves - i had a low lying one with first scan last time so had extra scan at 30-something weeks to confirm home birth and all was fine as it had moved up, somehow...

right, dh home for a tues night, not normally, and earlier than expected, hooray, he can have ds! after waking at 5.20 this morning, full on ready to go, my batteries are running low.

hope everyone well

fruitful · 12/06/2007 18:57

I'm getting back into "hooray I'm pregnant" mode. In between the waves of nausea and the need to go to sleep every 2 hours, of course.

Soooo - anyone else planning an elective cs then?
