Off on my hols soon so no mumsnet for a week. Hope everyone has a lovely week

MamaMaiasaura · 29/06/2007 12:48

have a lovely holiday xx

Naetha · 29/06/2007 13:26

Have a great holiday - I'm very jealous!

Still no sign of my bump yet, and bizarre though it seems, I still can't feel anything bump-like if I have a bit of a prod - anything vaguely solid seems to be stomach muscles when I tense them (hah stomach muscles, who am I trying to kid - I swear I used to have some!).

I suppose this is reassuring given I'm having my operation on Weds! I'm starting to get really nervous about it, especially as I've had to change hospitals because the one I was scheduled to have it at refuse to operate on pregnant women! At the end of the day though, I really need this operation - the longer it gets left, the worse and less safe it will be. I just have to hope that beany can be strong and hang in there

beller · 29/06/2007 13:33

Have a fab holiday Plummy, 2 weeks to go til mine!! ( and counting)..

Naetha- Thinking of you, must be difficult thinking of the op, but like you say, very necessary. Sure everything will be fine xx

mummybear43 · 29/06/2007 13:52

I am sorry to leave a sad message when you are all so happy but felt I should say that I had a scan last week and unfortunately the baby was dead. I had a horrible time and ended up in theatre for hours but then again, I never do do things by halves.

Wishing you all and your little ones much health and happiness and I will be praying that all goes smoothly for you all

gingeme · 29/06/2007 13:59

Hope you have a great holiday plummy Get lots of rest and sunshine. Catch up when you get back.

Oh neatha hope your op goes ok. Will you have to stay in hospital for long after? Atleast once its all over you can rest and concentrate on bean.

gingeme · 30/06/2007 08:30

Good morning ladies. Had two weird dreams last night (had to get up for a wee in between!) The first was I was going to have my wedding vowels re blessed so I had to wear my wedding dress again but it didnt fit as it was too small so I wasnt allowed to eat anything for 5 days. Then when I finaly go into it my Grandad did the blessing(he recently passed away in RL) and he said God had made him imto a priest so he could come back to earth to see us .The second was I gave birth to two baby boys but they were born about a week between then and one was a big chubby baby and one was skinny and scrawny. I named them my two most hated names, James and Thomas. No offence to anyone whos boys have these names.
Oh well just thought Id share that with you. Breakfast time now.
Have a good day xxx

Jenswish · 30/06/2007 09:02

I saw my baby yesterday. She/He danced! bopping away in there. When the sonographer pressed harder you could see a hand and it was almost as though she's trying to say "no pictures please" so cute.

I'm 13 weeks and 2 days and official due date is 3rd jan. I was so scared and couldn't look until she said there it is... all fine. I'm so happy now.

LilyLoo · 30/06/2007 09:35

barristermum · 30/06/2007 13:30

Hi girls, so sorry for my complete hormonal surge the other night - I have never been like it before- I don't really get PMT and I just had no idea what was hitting me. I have felt sicker and sicker this last week or so and work has been a nightmare (in chambers on saturday now after late nights last few days and I lost it! I had to work too late to go for drink anyway so left message for Head and hope he wasn't offended, then got home to dh and cried for an hour - he was SO panicked "Who are you and what have you done with my wife? I have never seen you like this!" Hormones eh! Thanks for all the sympathy.

Was so sorry to hear mummybear's sad news - sounds as tho' she had a really dreadful time of it too. Awen, like you am very worried as to Mrs McJnr's absence - I dimly recollect she was going on holiday but not for this long! And she lost her last at 10 weeks and is supposed to be over 11 now.

Lilyloo - can't BELIEVE how bossy and rude people are - getting dressed at all when pregnant is a triumph! Just accessorise and be damned.

Beller, friends of mine had a doula - actually more for the man's sake as he was incredibly squeamish but wanted to be a part of it and was getting all worked up. They were really delighted by her and found it totally money well-spent.

Naetha - good luck for op. You are totally doing the right tho scary thing - I remember my mum having her gall bladder out before the days of keyhole surgery and the pain she experienced from the stones was, she said, even worse than childbirth! I don't think you need to have to cope with that later on as well. I have a friend who's a GP in Bradford and her hd is an anesthetist I think at BRI - will ask them about hospitals next weekend when we go visiting. He is VERY funny about how much he hates midwives. He says the only reason they are so anti epidurals is because once it has been administered the midwife has to stay with you throughout and they don't want to be tied. Sounds plausible to me. But then I am of the hospital birth give me as many drugs as you possibly can school of thought at present.

mummyto2littleprincess · 30/06/2007 20:07

iv got my 1st scan on monday cant wait

feel so sorry for mummybear wishing you luck

LilyLoo · 30/06/2007 21:15

Will keep my fingers crossed for you mummy, you are due on my dd's birthday and she is a true capricorn, very stubborn

MamaMaiasaura · 30/06/2007 21:17

LIlyloo - no problem mate

Jenswish - fab news re scan. Is amazing how much detail there is at that stage.

Barristermum - I am aware she was going to spain but no idea how long for.

Mummytolittleprincess - good luck for the scan on monday. Is exciting

Def think ms has gone (yay yay ) Been a bit achey in my tummy. I think it is the growing bump. I also have been properly for a few day sorry if tmi.

Had a nice day, went and fed ducks and geese in the rain. Then went for a walk in the rain, puddle splashing. Came home as ds had a lovely long bath and then we spent the afternoon painting. Nice relaxed day

MamaMaiasaura · 30/06/2007 21:18

noooo lilyloo - dont tell me capricorns are stubborn. yikes! If this one is a girl and stubborn I am really going to have my hands full.
