Hi everyone, ive just cancelled the group session with the mw, they asked if i wanted another group appointment and i said no, i really couldnt see the point of a group session no one else has had one. I did ask if i would still receive my booking in appointment ok which i do, so there was definately no point to it

hope everyone ok, its a bit quiet today

goingfor3 · 22/06/2007 14:28

Hello all,

I hope you are all feeling well. I'm so looking forward to my scan next week. It still doesn't feel real despite the 10 positive tests I had. I also feel really miserable which I think is due to tiredness and hrmones and not really feeling like I can connect it all to being pregnant. I was in M&S this morning and could feel tears welling up because I couldn't find anything I wanted for lunch! Obviously I am going a bit crackers!

MamaMaiasaura · 22/06/2007 15:03

Was sick in the end last night. Feeling sick lots today as well but thankfully not been sick. Trying to ignore it as much as I can too. Ds off school today so been out to a science type museum (it got hit by lightening ) was really loud bang and electrics went out. Luckily neither ds or myself are frightened of thunder and lightening. Got home and have a second set of maternity notes from the rubbish mw I first saw. Think I might dispose of them as no point in having 2 sets.

Goingfor3 - what day is your scan next week? I found it hard to choose what to eat from m&s as everything seemed to have what we are not allowed in.

Naetha - you are right F4 was bad but also very good.

PBirdy · 22/06/2007 15:47

Dear All,

Well, I had my nuchal scan this morning and it went well! The sonographer measured the nuchal fluid (I think that is what they measure) and it was 2.2mm - it is a worry if it is over 3 so it was all good.

They also did a blood test but I don't get the results (ie, probability of downs syndrome etc) until later this afternoon or maybe Monday morning. Fingers crossed it is this afternoon. The wait is killing me!

But, all looking good and it was absolutely amazing the amount of detail there was - fingers and toes and all sorts of movement. It looked much more like a baby than at the 10 week scan. We got a little photo of it waving and another sucking its thumb. So cute! Also a really scary looking one of its face looking straight at us. It looks like an alien!

Can you believe but I forgot to mention to the doctor about the bleeding last week!?!?!?? This is after stressing about it for how many days??? I can't believe I forgot. All is well though so no need obviously.

Glad to hear about the other scans going well - it is such an exciting time!

They have dated me a bit later now, the sonographer assures me that the baby is just a few days older than we thought and not a giant. So my new due date is 28 Dec - any money that it comes on New Years Eve. Beller - it is you and I in the race for the finish!

Hi all,

most uncharacteristically am having a dreadful day of ms - woke up dry heaving and despite ginger biscuits and even the hitherto failsafe readt salted chipsticks am still dashing to the loo if I cough too much or swallow the wrong way.

On top of that had a shocker on the northern line with a 20 min journey taking an hour, whilst teetering on the edge of vomiting and was standing at first feeling sick and faint until I just coped with the embarrassment and told half of London I was pregnant and feeling faint and sick and could I sit down - half the carriage ran - I think it was the sick bit!

Then irritating morning in court with judge just not doing what I told him too, banging up my client whose 3 year old son came up to me as I left court and said "where is my Daddy?" so I felt like crying. Father so distraught afterwards down in the cells he crouched in the corner and cdn't even come and sit at the table.

All in all bad day and I need to get home to quiet solitary night in, having cancelled evening plans on grounds I will not be good company for friends.

So Naetha - it was good to chuckle at your dancing story and Beller it was good to put things into perspective when your ex is being so exhausting of your patience, time and good will - you really are heroic girl!
Have good weekends girls.

barristermum · 22/06/2007 15:56

lovely scan pbirdy - v pleased for you.

Looking down the list worrying about victorvictoria who doesn't seem to be around much since her return to this thread - hope all is alright.

Housemum · 22/06/2007 17:42

Oh, barristermum, what a day - hope you can put your feet up tonight! I'm going to give some "wine" a go - it's de-alcoholised (ie proper wine with the alcohol removed) so I'll see if it tastes any better than the elderflower/grape juice etc substitutes that are just too sweet! If it's any good, I'll be passing on recommendation codes to get a discount on some more bottles!!!

katyt1 · 22/06/2007 18:23

Just tidying up my info, mw agreed with my dates for now, waiting with bated breath for scan, still no date through, boo....

congrats to more successful scans, i'm sooo jealous

barristermum - what a bad day, hope you get to put feet up and chill tonight.

housemum - def let us know about the wine. i allow myself the odd glass of red but alcohol-free that tastes good would be brill!

beller - as you are first, how many weeks are you? going by my dates, victorvictoria (who's last) must be just 8 weeks, curious to see the range but my head isn't up to the maths!
right, dh doing bath as i HAD to eat something! roll on 12 weeks!

mummyto2littleprincess · 22/06/2007 22:06

hi eveyone i havent been on here much as have had bad morning sickness god i hate it

i will be 11 weeks on sunday argg only 29weeks to go

i have my 12 weeks scan on 2nd july which were looking forward too

some of you are lucky getting a picture i only get a picture at my 20 weeks scan and im defenilty finding out if its a boy or girl would love a boy as i have 2 dds but as long as it healty i dont mind

has anyone brought anything for the baby or chosen names for there baby??

MamaMaiasaura · 22/06/2007 22:09

hi mummy2littleprincess. Lots of sympathy re morning sickness. Mine is bad at the moment too. Started a thread in pregnancy about it. Have decided on 2 boys names (traditional ones), am nearly there with 1 girls name (pretty and foreign). Not telling tho

mummyto2littleprincess · 22/06/2007 22:11

mind it my sickness has not been so bad since i got some anit-sickness tablets off docs maybe you should ask for some

i have chosen a boys name but not 100% sure on a girls name my 2 dds keep calling it baby chloe they seem to think its a girl and called chloe

MamaMaiasaura · 22/06/2007 22:14

lol. My ds likes the name chloe too. Not what we have 'chosen' at the moment. Really dont want to get medication as although these last 2 days have been particular bad with nausea I have only been sick once. I wont even take paracetamol for headaches. [matyr emocion]

mummyto2littleprincess · 22/06/2007 22:16

my 2 like it due to cloe from bratz

Imawurzel · 22/06/2007 22:16

All the boys names i like DH doesn't.
Same with girls names. It'll come out and it'll be oh s/he looks like a or something.

mummyto2littleprincess · 22/06/2007 22:23

Imawurzel -thats men for you most of the names i like my dp dont what are the names you like??

we have both agreed on jayden for a boy not sure on girls yet

i know this sound silly but my boobs are really sore with this baby im only 11wks on sunday but with my 2 dds they didnt start to hurt after they were born has anyone else had the same

im not looking forward to the after pains as they get worse with more children you have and mine were painful with dd2 so god knows how painful they will be with baby no3

Imawurzel · 22/06/2007 22:27

This is my first so not sure what to expect at all. Had no actual morning sickness, only felt queasy every now and then.
I like
jack
alfie
harry

mia/maya
lily-may
ella
allandra (from star wars [blush)
It's hard to think of boys names. whatever we choose has got to go with surname, Edge.
so if it was luke they'd be L.Edge.Harry - H.Edge. See??

MamaMaiasaura · 22/06/2007 22:30

not allowed to say names both your names all sound lovely

Imawurzel my friends little girl is called Maia - lovely name.

Worse after pains?? eekk - was in agony after ds (didnt help had section and had epidural etc removed before contractions started)

Imawurzel · 22/06/2007 22:32

I keep thinking well, whatever we choose has got to suit them through all ages, baby, toddler, teen, etc.

mummyto2littleprincess · 22/06/2007 22:37

Imawurzel theres nothing wrong with them names there nice so what names do ur dh like then??

my dp like more common names like lauren and holly which are my 2 dd2 names
i wanted to call holly mackenzie but no dp didnt like that cant have it now as my cousin called her girl it

oops awen sorry to scare you but the truth is yes the after pains get worse after each child

heres some names i like

boy

jayden
kyle
rhys
ryan
cameron
kian
jordan

girls

liberty
libby
courtney-leigh
brooke
kaylin

but were going to wait see the sex before picking out names

MamaMaiasaura · 22/06/2007 22:41

lovely names again there. We are pretty set on boys names which mean we are more likely to have a girl (with ds I had loads of girls names and hardly any boys!). btw Holly was origianlly our girls name choice (went with xmas etc) but dps surname starts with H and also best friends dog is called holly.

efmc · 22/06/2007 22:47

had my first mw appointment today... my official due date is 4th february 2008... i guess i'm on the wrong board

am i allowed to stay here, or should i move?!

still no actual ms, but lots of nausea. ginger nuts have been a godsend!

am now craving diet coke - i NEVER drink the stuff usually... it seems to have helped with the nausea too

so.. what do you think... should i move boards?

MamaMaiasaura · 22/06/2007 22:48

efmc - you are welcome to stay here Tis a lovely thread here.

Housemum · 22/06/2007 23:05

Update on the wine - tried the de-alcoholised Merlot - was still a bit sweet & fruit juice like. Will try the white tomorrow! Have also got a bottle of bubbly (I thought I'd try a white, red & sparkling) - I don't watch Big Brother, but apparently there was an episode where the housemates thought they were drinking champagne but weren't and this stuff is what they used (so said the marketing blurb)

ayrshirelolo · 22/06/2007 23:16

efmc, you've made me brave enough to say hello too... if you can stay can i? I'm due 31st jan apparantly, and need to go to bed soon coz i'm yawning and knackered! Diet coke helped me too, but i'm drinking the decaff stuff (what the f### is in it? no sugar, no caffeine, it's just brown fizzy water, aint it??)

mummyto2littleprincess · 23/06/2007 00:34

awen- thats why we called our dd2 holly as she was born near christmas
