pussycatmomma · 20/06/2007 15:57

hi all, i havent read all of this thread - too long for me to catch up on, theres a lot of chat going on!
Just wanted to say I am 9 weeks tomorrow, and we have another scan in the morning. We had a scan at 7 weeks as I had some bleeding. All was well, we saw heartbeat etc, but waiting with baited breath for tomorrow. Am terrified, nervous and also inwardly excited at the thought of seeing little braveheart again. Fingers crossed all will be ok.
Hello to everyone and lets hope some of us start crossing the 12 wk mark (if you lot havent already! like i said , not had chance to read whole thread )
love to all

I'm 8 weeks now, got a scan at 11 wks, a consultant appt at the hosp at 16 wks, next scan at 20 weeks, and then mw at 24 weeks in October. So that is being seen by someone every 4 weeks!

Good luck for tomorrow PussyCat; nervewracking isn't it?

MamaMaiasaura · 20/06/2007 16:47

Just wanted to say Hellooo!!
I've been reading this thread everyday, and although I don't post often it is nice to call in and see how everyone is doing.

Its fab that alot of you have had great scans, and lets hope the 12 week point will come speedily for us all.

Is anyone else having problems with a blocked nose at night? I keep waking up at 4am not able to breathe and then waking up DS.. arghh!

[smile

Housemum · 20/06/2007 17:39

Awen - know what you mean about time dragging - scan is a week tomorrow (that's when we plan to tell DD2 as well, so I'll have 26 weeks of being asked when the baby will come...)

barristermum · 20/06/2007 17:57

good luck pcm. My next scan is 5/7 when I will be 12.2 and if all well, we will tell the world. The deception is just too much. Last night I went for a drink with work people and most didn't know but 1 did, when he got a round I asked for a g and t with a sort of meaningful look and he came back with something that didn't taste alcoholic but I couldn't be sure - then he texted me "it's alright it's lemonade" - how sweet and how on the ball for a single chap?!

katyt1 · 20/06/2007 18:51

barristermum, that's brill esp for a bloke!

i couldn't bear the deception so basically have told people as i've seen them/spoken to them. still a few non-friends (iykwim) that i might wait until the scan tho.
haven't got a date yet, grump! i was due end of the month for ds too, means i'm always near the end of things....until the end when he came early

betty - the mark already looks less of a GIGANTIC HOLE IN HIS HEAD - as i thought this morning, dh has been and got some dettol and steristrips so looks all professional now. (did dh hurt himself poor lamb )

fruitful - i saw mw yest at 8 wks, not seeing her again til 16wks. have blood taken next week, scan at some point, don't think i'm seeing a constultant, so even less than you i think.

well, the day improved, fish and chips, walk along seafront with other mums, dh home early from work, hooray , he's putting ds to bed, i'm off to get my allocated ration of red wine, yum.

keep well

Naetha · 21/06/2007 10:16

Feeling all bright and perky this morning, and whats more, I don't feel sick - yay! Let's hope this is a sign of better things to come!

Had a fun drive to work this morning, we've just got a new car stereo and I was listening to all my favourite songs and dancing around (as you do...although I originally started dancing while driving out of necessity as our old car had no heating!).

I arrive at work to find an email from a very senior colleague saying "loved your dance moves in the car on the way in". Turns out he was driving in front of me the whole way

MamaMaiasaura · 21/06/2007 10:26

lol naetha and at no ms.

Still sick, feel like am going to be and woke up with it, went to sleep with it. Am 12 weeks on Saturday and dont remember the sickness going on this long with ds. Does this mean a girl?

PBirdy · 21/06/2007 13:33

hello all

barristermum, your mate was very on the ball indeed getting you that lemonade. I am most impressed. I doubt that my DH would have been that savy.

Feeling good this morning too - morning sickness bouts are getting further apart - bring on the glowing months!!

nicky6 · 21/06/2007 15:34

I am 9 weeks this weekend and have not told a single soul. DH doesnt want to jinx things so has made me promise not to tell anyone until after the scan 19/7. Only compromise after lots and lots of nagging is i can tell my mum this weekend as long as she promises not to tell my brothers and sister who are like my best friends. I am such a chatterbox I really dont know how I am managing it, plus on 1st july we have 50 people plus kids coming for Bar BQ, all arranged pre pg , not quite sure how that is going to pan out - i keep thinking i must be mad, nausea has moved from morning to lunchtime - so pleased i am working from home this week.

beller · 21/06/2007 17:52

Hi Everyone..

Angelcake- I get the dry mouth and blocked nose too...nothing to do apart from have tissue and water bu the bed ?

Wasnt it work today as Ex turned up at 11.15 wed night in a right state. He realy is stuggling with the responibilty thing...42 going on 14..but we had a great talk..think me going for the scan made it more real for him. He saw the pics last night and was staring at them for a while....He stayed and we talked again this mng..he is off on hol tom..so will see what happens when he gets back...Will take alot of work on both parts if it is to work, but if it isnt, then hopefully a very strong friendship will be good for babybel!
Just thought I would update you!

Glad to hear some MS is fading, I was lucky not to get any ...

Naetha- Made me smile , I do the same things int he car....people look as if im mad...which is quite likely!

Have a good evening everyone xxx

pussycatmomma · 21/06/2007 18:39

hi all
Bella sounds like you are making progress with the ex? hope so, and like you say, if you can have a reasonable friendship and some civility and support that would be great.
Nicky - How on earth have you managed not to tell anyone?? am v. impressed! Feels like the world knows our news but thats partly down to virilent office gossip as me and dh work in same building (but different floors) . Think they all got together on one of their many cigarette breaks!!! (pah, pah, dirty habit, can you tell im a non smoker!!)
Well, we went for our scan today, and all is still well
Hurray!!! They dated me at 8+6 whereas I know its exactly 9weeks from lmp. So i wasnt far out .
Amazing how much he has grown from last scan, starting to see a profile (cute little outline of nose) and is looking more like a little baby. (I say he, doesnt sound right calling s/he "it" all the time!) Bawled my eyes out again on the couch thing, while the scan lady was trying to do it, she ever so kindly gave me tissues but asked if i could keep stll , my shudders were making my tummy jump up and down
regained my composure and enjoyed every second.
To anyon going for a scan soon, yes its scary cause you are just hoping all is well, but my God, when you see it inside - its the most amazing feeling.....
hope everyone is ok..
love and hugs to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello all. I feel sort of hungover in the morning and evening, but I have a window in the middle of the day when I feel fine. I have to make the most of that period to get things done. Enjoying some time off work I also get the nasal congestion and dry mouth. Not getting some of the things I got with ds though (eg popping ears and balance problems due to ears being blocked). Diet is soooo bland. Can't face rich food atm Ate loads of cherries today -they were nice

Naetha - your colleague must have enjoyed your moves

Beller - glad ex is improving contact with you. I must say - you are being so amazing about the whole thing.

Pussycatmomma - delighted your scan went well. It must have been amazing to see the changes compared with the previous scan. I nearly cried at my one on Monday so I'll probably be hysterical at the nuchal!

laughalot · 21/06/2007 20:06

Aaah pussycat im so pleased I was thinking about you and feeling a little sad as I know lauren was my last baby and I am so lucky to have 2 very healthy children but I cant imagine never having that bump again. Well done you remember feet up and eat laods of choccie try woolies they have loads on offer .

Jenswish · 21/06/2007 20:52

Well, went for my first apt with midwife. Nothing exciting happened at all. Just prodded my belly abit, tried to hear heartbeat and couldn't (which apparently doesn't neccisarily mean anything but you know, still panicking. Got my booking in apt on 3rd July, just got to wait for my scan apt to come through.

Hope all is well,

Lozza - so sorry to hear, my thoughts are with you and if you need anyone to talk to just shout.

MamaMaiasaura · 21/06/2007 21:00

pissycatmomma glad your scan went so well. I am starting to get nervous about mine now. DP and ds will be there.

Beller - am glad you and ex are talking things through. I cant imagine what you have been goin gthrough x

Feeling sick still. Really thought it would have passed by now, should have made more of the week I had off rather than panicking. I also felt really energised a few days ago - did loads of housework, just feeling blurgh now.

Went to cinema with ds this afternoon and saw fantastic four, twas brill although had to dash out to get crisps to stave off sickness.

nicky6 · 21/06/2007 22:13

So pleased to hear somuch good news about scans everyone sounds so excited, i think i am still in denial - i dont have much of an imagination and i think until i see something i will continue think that i am just feeling unwell and i bought the 2 dodgy pg test kits

beller · 22/06/2007 08:32

Morning all...

Pussycatmomma- I felt the same over my scan...was laughing and crying at the same time, and the pic was getting blurred...carrying my pics around with me...cant stop looking at them!

Plummymummy- well I think he has to come to any decision himself..because he wants to , not has to or out of duty,as that will never work. He has some issues that im not happy abotu either, so we have alot to work through if we do decide to give it a go. Im thinking along the lines I will be on my own, but at least now I now we will at least be friends, and anything else can be worked out.

Awen- I fancy that film, might offer to take my neice and nephew!
xx

Naetha · 22/06/2007 09:05

Grats to PCM and Beller on great scans - it makes it so real doesn't it!

I'd recommend Fantastic 4 SS - watched it the other day and it was great! It was terrible if you get my drift, but great fun!

I'm off for a bit of a jolly today, going to visit my gran in Bedford, and then a couple of my old schoolfriends in Oxford - should be great fun, just going to be a bit odd not being able to drink, although I am tempted to stretch to a small glass of wine!

Can't believe I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow - I feel like its going so fast!

Housemum · 22/06/2007 12:45

The "silver surfer" bit of the Fantastic 4 title always makes me chuckle - I think of old grannies on the internet! (Gransnet, maybe?)
