Oh dear i think I did that wrong! Go to www.sewessential.co.uk put trouser into the search box then on page 4 there are Wonder Buttons. Phew! Long windede but I hope it helps you x

flamingnora · 20/06/2007 08:56

Becky Au - thanks so much, that's great, really helpful! I can't believe how fat and unattractive I feel. Is this normal?!
Hx

Angechica · 20/06/2007 08:58

hello all, still lurking. been away to a wedding this weekend and the enforced sobriety was very dull.
DH got v drunk and soppy - he seems to find it v sexy that I am pg - does anyone else's partner feel the same. Sadly I just feel fat, spotty, lank haired and generally unappealing.

katyt1 · 20/06/2007 09:41

morning all, i def feel fat, spotty and unattractive, just as i was getting back towards my pre-pg body as well!
dh is like yours and thinks it's all fine...hmph!

well, minor drama this morning, ds managed to climb onto a stool, that he's never done before, then threw himself off, somehow caught his head and blood everywhere! first bloody accident - sure to be first of many i guess. i managed to only freak a little! hope i've dealt with it right, washed, ointment & plaster? awen i shd get tips from you i think!

right, ds hopefully napping, i must join him or i'll be knackered all day.
sorry - congrats on scans so far

Naetha · 20/06/2007 09:58

Yes unfortunately (or fortunately I suppose!) my DH says he can't keep his hands off me, and my ever expanding boobs have become a mecca for him bless him! Unfortunately my boobs to NOT want to be touched at the moment so he's having to restrain himself a lot!

Having said that, they're starting to feel a bit better now, so I might let him cop a brief feel now and again lol!

Just reminds me of being 15 again, where the feller's sole aim was to get to touch your boob, and your sole aim was to stop him!

nicky6 · 20/06/2007 10:12

flamingnora - am glad someone elses head works like mine - today first day in weeks i have woken up not feeling sick and was even able to eat breakfast but in the back of my head stressing that if i am not feeling ill maybe thats a bad thing.

Combine that with a miniscule appearance of possible blood when wipe (sorry if too much info) and amazing how paranoid you can be.

As a first timer - its just hard to know what is normal and what you should be worried about.

gingeme · 20/06/2007 10:18

Yes Katy1 you did that right. How old is he?
I feel like s**t this morning. My darling cat has the runs and I had to clean the whole kitchen up while being sick as I went in the kitchen sink with ds4 screaming for his bottle in his cot and ds3 keep popping in and out the kitchen asking'what you doing Mummy?'. Aaaaaggghhhh........
Oh well all is calm now. ds3 at nursery ds4 asleep floor mopped, kitchen sparkling and Im in my favourite place in front of the pc with a packet of Hob Nobs bliss.
Have a good day all

goingfor3 · 20/06/2007 10:34

Plummy happy birthday for your lo one too! DD woke up around six because she was so excitied! We just got her little bits and pieces which she is really happy with. I am glad my dd's party was out of the way last weekend, good luck with yours.

MamaMaiasaura · 20/06/2007 11:07

happy birthday to your LO's gingeme and plummymummy

Gingeme - ewwwwwwww poor you having to clean that all up. Ds stood in dog poo the other day and that was gross enough..

Katy for your ds. My little star bounced around this morning saying his leg is all better and so perhaps we can have some days off without drama

I think MrsMcJnr is on holiday at the moment... might be wrong tho.

I thought my MS had gone this morning. It just decided to move times

Naetha - lucky you my dp is not a big boob man (he kinda dipped out with me then!). If he was into them tho I wouldnt let him near them cos they are very sensitive.

PBirdy · 20/06/2007 11:10

Good morning all

So much for my post yesterday that morning sickness ends at 12 weeks - this morning was just horrific and I had to get to work for an early meeting. So my advice to the people who are stressing about feeling good for a day is to try to enjoy it while you can. Easier said than done as I well know.

X

gingeme · 20/06/2007 11:15

awen were re homing him soon. A lady is picking him up tommorrow for a trial run over the weekend. Just hope this doesnt last. I nearly threw him out the window this morning. My dc think hes a moving toy especialy as ds4 is on the move now the cats an easy target.

katyt1 · 20/06/2007 11:29

gingeme - he's 13months now. first of many blood everywhere disasters i'm sure.
i was just sat there thinking oh, he's learnt to climb up there, must start rearranging things for safety, then crash, bang, spurt....
he's fine now, looks funny witha plaster on his head

your morning sounds worse tbh. glad all is clean now, oh bu**er, just remembered my cats brought in a frog this morning, last seen hiding under dh's pile of shoes in the hall, better extricate it and chuck it out the front. give it some chance of escape...
dontcha just love em.....

sympathies to those suffering with ms, i just have the nausea, is that better or worse? usually the ginger nut or polo treatment works.

right, frog time...

katyt1 · 20/06/2007 11:33

omg, of all the shoes in the pile, it was in my only one there!!!! have put shoe outside and hoping for the btes. yuk, half hoped it had died quietly but no such luck.
aarrgghh, frogs make me somewhat hysterical!

beller · 20/06/2007 11:42

oh dear Katy1, not having a good day xxx

katyt1 · 20/06/2007 12:03

right, decided to stop being such a wuss, and went and shook that bl**dy frog out of my shoe. it hopeed off quite happily...until the cats get it again.....

off for fish and chips to share with ds, think i deserve a treat!

Bettymamma · 20/06/2007 13:38

Afternoon all - how's it all going?

Happy birthday to gingeme and plummy kiddies! Hope they have fabulous days - and Beller - ahhhhhhhhh your scan sounds lovely and you ex was interested. Ahhhh. Fantastic.

Naetha - I can't get unchanged infront of dh cos of his boob fettish at the moment - THEY ARE SORE!!

katy1 sorry to hear about ds head injury and frog. Not a good day. My dh had incident a month ago after diving out of the open french doors onto the patio below. The mark looked awful but its amazing how quickly it cleared up.

Last day in the office and Monday off for the scan. Yippee. I've taken it as holiday otherwise my mobile will be constantly ringing. I hope all goes well (fingers, toes and norks crossed!). Anyone else have scans next week?

Bettymamma · 20/06/2007 13:39

I think my brain has shrunk I mean dd not dh! Although dh has fallen out of patio doors before....

barristermum · 20/06/2007 13:45

katy1 and gingeme - what shocking starts to your day, and pbirdy with the ms - you have my absolute sympathy.

Awen - really laughed your feller is not a boob man - what a waste of your tremendous assets! naetha really made me laugh at returning to her 15 year old self as well. My boobs don't seem to have changed at all which I am mildly disappointed about as I've always had one much bigger that the other and I read once they could even up in pg. Alas! Still, saves dh being tempted as at the mo my libido has completely flatlined - dh v understanding and waiting hopefully for the stage later when the books say I'll be gagging for it.

going43 - I am having mine at the Whittington - any tips or advice as you've obv had gd experiences which is encouraging.

Happy birthday to all the little ones - hope nice days had by all.

btw - loved devil wears prada the other night and my steak. Tried the skinny cow mint choc chip ice cream which is vastly fewer calories than my usual B&J's cookie dough and whilst CLEARLY not the same a very decent virtuous alternative.

fruitful · 20/06/2007 14:43

Just had my mw appointment. Took about 15 minutes, most unexciting. And next one is at the beginning of October, rofl! Glad they want to keep an eye on my health...

Barristermum your're just going to have to persuade your baby to feed from the smaller side only until they even out! Ds decided to prefer my larger side which was not helpful.

Right, school run ...

goingfor3 · 20/06/2007 14:44

fruitful you have to wait until october for your next appointment! I thought we were supposed to be seen every four weeks???

PBirdy · 20/06/2007 14:55

Fruitful, October does seem like a long time away! Are you sure that's right? I think I am seeing mine every month for the first few months then it goes to fortnightly and then weekly (just before the birth).

Unless you feel cool about it, I would question it.

beller · 20/06/2007 15:02

yup, im once a month too, so would check that??

gingeme · 20/06/2007 15:02

Just out of curiosity why is everyone wishing my ds a Happy Birthday?

PBirdy · 20/06/2007 15:30

I must admit I am having a hard time keeping up with everyone's news so I think there is confusion! We need MrsMcJnr to post one of her round ups which will bring us all up to date!

Bettymamma · 20/06/2007 15:47

Pregnancy brains gingeme! Meant goingfor3 -heh they both start with a g!? apologies.
