@fizzledays hope you're ok. I was randomly sick yesterday after being fine for 3 weeks. I think sometimes it is triggered by certain foods. Mine seems to be apples and strawberries - guessing it's something to do with the acidity on an empty stomach!

Hope you can relax on your time off and start to feel better soon x

fizzledays · 18/09/2018 08:27

@DragonFlew I don't feel very ok, but hopefully will get through it. It's literally all food - I can barely stomach the thought of it. I've lost so much weight already (easily 1/2 stone). It's just making my anxiety worse 🙈🙈

Yakadee · 18/09/2018 08:31

Thanks everyone - leaving in about 30 mins.

@Since2016 - fingers crossed it goes well today and that the morning doesn't drag too much.

@clairehr - good luck for yours at 3 x

clairehr · 18/09/2018 08:36

Good luck @yakadee

Surprisedmom · 18/09/2018 09:32

@fizzledays I get random days when i’m nauseous and don’t eat as much as I should, if it’s constant and you’re worried though call the midwife or doctors and ask for advice. I’m sure they’ll take your concerns seriously if you’re struggling to eat at this stage.

Since2016 · 18/09/2018 09:46

Thanks @yakadee MW appt done. Heartbeat too 👌🏻 Nice and strong. Also got my combined test results finally - all v v low risk stats wise - in fact lower than with my DD which is reassuring despite my advanced age 😂

Good luck!!! Sure all fine but good luck anyway.

Bloody weather - I was sweating buckets yesterday and today I’m cold although I was sweaty at nursery drop off!

Yakadee · 18/09/2018 09:48

The waiting room is PACKED! It's like torture Haha x

Notquiteagandt · 18/09/2018 10:01

@fizzledays are you under a dietician during pregnancy. I pffted at it at 1st but they have really helped. Given me loads tips. Ive finally managed to get back to my prepregnancy weight.

Fredthespider · 18/09/2018 10:45

90 mins until my scan! I also slept terribly @Yakadee, woke up in the night remembering that I needed to take my notes along with me, i'd completely forgotten up until that point so the lack of sleep obviously helped something.

Glad your MW appointment went well @Since2016, hope the cardiac check goes well too. I know of a few little ones with heart problems so it's made me quite aware of the potential for something to not quite be right, luckily most are fixable.

WORK JUST MADE MY CONTRACT PERMENANT! WOOOOO!

AliceRR · 18/09/2018 11:15

Congrats Powkin!

I had some good news at work last week (decent pay rise) and it does help to feel more financially secure with baby on the way

Surprisedmom · 18/09/2018 11:21

Congrats @powkin

This article made me chuckle a bit because:

  1. we all seem to be monitoring our own weight anyway.
  2. they suggested some midwifes didn’t know the weight gain suggestions. I mean I just googled it shortly after getting pregnant, you’d hope a midwife could do that too.

clairehr · 18/09/2018 11:30

Totally can't concentrate on work waiting for my scan. Eurgh!

Yakadee · 18/09/2018 11:30

Well, we have a lovely healthy GIRL! So relieved baby is happy and healthy xxx

Congrats @yakadee !!! Lovely news. And you too @powkin

Baby160P · 18/09/2018 11:35

@fizzledays I was sick yesterday for the first time in all my pregnancy and feel like I'm back off of my food last night and today 😩

@Yakadee what a lovely clear scan. Congratulations!!!

clairehr · 18/09/2018 11:36

So pleased all went well @Yakadee and a huge happy birthday to your other half 😊

AliceRR · 18/09/2018 11:45

Why or why do I google images of “fetus at 19 weeks” etc? It inevitably throws up some amazing but incredibly sad images 😟

fizzledays · 18/09/2018 11:51

@Notquiteagandt no I haven't...but maybe I should go and see one! Good idea thank you :)

Yakadee · 18/09/2018 12:17

Thanks everyone, very excited! Also so relieved, bet I sleep well tonight.

@powkin - congratulations! X

powkin · 18/09/2018 12:22

Congrats @Yakadee such a lovely photo.

twinklingelephant · 18/09/2018 13:29

That's a great picture @yakadee.
I'm sure whoever writes these articles about women not needing extra calories for energy til the last trimester has never been pregnant!

Fredthespider · 18/09/2018 13:30

I have a stubborn one, they couldn't get the head or heart so need to go back in 2 weeks. We think it's a girl though Smile

Yakadee · 18/09/2018 13:32

@Fredthespider - aww. I had to do some giggling myself to get some of the shots but thankfully managed to get everything she needed x

Fredthespider · 18/09/2018 13:35

She had me up on three occasions to do star jumps and squats 😱
