@GeriatricShmeriatric I've had movements really low down. She's really started kicking hard now, OH and DD have both felt her kicks now, but still so low down xx

GeriatricShmeriatric · 17/09/2018 18:13

Thank you @hayley013 & @AliceRR
How exciting!

Notquiteagandt · 17/09/2018 19:06

@Surprisedmom ive bought my pram and carseat and isofix base already too. Was such a bargain couldnt resist. Now im like wtf do i do with it until february.

If anyone is thinking of getting anything cybex so many good deals about at the moment on them.

I am so happy as it was my pram of choice but didnt think i could afford it.

@GeriatricShmeriatric yeah it will be really low down. So thats baby.

When I had my last MW appointment and heard HB had to roll my knickers down for them to hear and thats where i feel movement from inside and outside. I can distinguish between kicks, rolls and moving now 😍

Surprisedmom · 17/09/2018 19:53

@Notquiteagandt i’m glad i’m not the only one buying bigger items. Fortunately I have all my stuff in a storage unit at present so the pram is going there until I move out of my parents where i’m staying for the next few months.

Regarding movement, I think i’ve felt my baby but it feels a little like popcorn (so perhaps little baby punches) and i’m definitely not feeling clear punches/rolls etc.

emalady · 17/09/2018 19:55

I'm glad others are just as paranoid. I'm not sure I've felt anything yet. I'm hoping that I start feeling some movement soon.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/09/2018 20:23

I’m not usually superstitious... but I won’t have the oram in the house before the baby... so we’ll hold off on that for a while 😬 Been researching and out shopping though, so will keep our eyes open for Black Friday deals, Boxing Day and January sales.. hopefully will manage to get a bargain on one of our choices! 🤞🏼

Other than that, I’ve got some bottles, and a pack of five vests that my mums given me today. That’s us so far... I want to get the 20 week scan done before I feel too safe.

Am I the only 2nd timer who has literally bought nothing? Nada 😂 it feels so far off still...

Lookingforadvice123 · 17/09/2018 20:53

No Since2016 I haven't bought a single thing! I hadn't at this stage with DS (we'd ordered the travel system but not collected it until 35 weeks). I will probably buy some things after the 20 week scan, we need a few new things eg crib, Moses basket mattress, the new (and improved!) Ewan! But to be honest the main expense is going to be DS' new bedroom which needs completely redecorating, new carpet, bed, wardrobe etc, as the baby will just have his old stuff and room.

Yakadee · 17/09/2018 20:58

I have bought one thing (well, technically two) because our scan is tomorrow and it's also my husband's birthday so (hopefully) when we find out whether the baby is boy /girl I've wrapped up a cute girl and boy sleep suit and will give him whichever the baby is x

MakeLemonade · 17/09/2018 21:10

@Since2016 third timer and I’ve not bought a single thing! You’re not alone. I need to do a sort out of what we’ve got before I get anything new.

Since2016 · 17/09/2018 21:16

Phew glad it’s not just me!! In fairness I don’t think we bought anything until nov / Oct last time (Jan baby). We also need to sort out whether we need anything - poss gender dependent but have lots of neutral stuff. Defintely a new sling and changing mat. Maybe a changing bag... sort of struggling to think of anything else! Although I do need to assess everything so this may change...

Maybe in November...

Surprisedmom · 17/09/2018 21:17

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking my mum has the same superstition about the pram so it’s currently in my car and then will go in storage, it’s not coming in the house.

Lulabell1 · 17/09/2018 21:48

Has anyone seen the new prams out called ickle bubba i keep getting a ad on fb pop up and then today saw 2 in Epsom town centre they look very neat and tidy you get frame, seat, carrycot, adaptors, carseat with a base for car, changing bag, seat liner and sun shields for 299, 499 or 599 depending on the model! Defo worth a look

DeliberatelyGinger · 17/09/2018 22:12

That is suc a cute idea @Yakadee

Yakadee · 17/09/2018 22:27

@DeliberatelyGinger - thanks! Just seemed too special to ignore on his birthday. I made him a cake too - what an amazing birthday! Haha x

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/09/2018 22:56

@Lulabell1 we’ve looked at the ickle bubba, and they do seem good. However, there is no way I could push something with ‘ickle bubba’ written on it 😂

Lulabell1 · 18/09/2018 00:20

@notasgreen
My mum said them exact words to me i didnt even think that! Ha

MrsY87 · 18/09/2018 06:24

@Since2016 & @MakeLemonade 3rd timer here too and I've not bought anything yet. Although my friend did message me at the weekend to say she is getting rid of her donkey and would I like to buy it off her for a pretty good price so I've said yes but won't take it until after my 20w scan on Friday.

Good luck to those of you with scans today!

Yakadee · 18/09/2018 06:57

Scan day! Slept absolutely terrible as I expected. Roll on 10am good luck to others with scans today x

DragonFlew · 18/09/2018 07:15

@yakadee good luck today! Let us know how it goes!

fizzledays · 18/09/2018 07:22

Is anyone else getting a second wave of nausea etc? I had it so badly around weeks 7-12 and then it went away, now week 18+4 and I have barely any appetite, can't really eat, but I desperately need to because my emotions are everywhere and I've been signed off work with anxiety. Not eating is just making it worse. Any advise ladies? Help!

hayley013 · 18/09/2018 07:46

Good luck with scans this week everyone. It's sad but I'm looking forward to physio appt this morning, hopefully get some relief from crippling sciatica xx

maxiflump1 · 18/09/2018 07:50

Good luck @Yakadee! Mines a week today and can't wait now!

Good luck @yakadee and I think there’s someone else too. I have a cardiac scan at 12 (DD had heart issue at birth) so while it’s not the 20 week scan (next week) v nervous in case they pick up something! 16 w MW too - at almost 19 weeks good thing I’m relaxed this time 😂
