Thought I'd get the new thread started as no one objected to my title suggestion

ejt1764 · 26/06/2007 16:07

yes muppetgirl - I think Apricott is too ... sure there are some other teachers here too ....

What subject / phase do you teach?

I teach French in a comp ... ks3, 4, & 5

ejt1764 · 26/06/2007 16:08

large gentle pats to you greedy .... actually, with you being a chiropractor, they should be large, gentle readjustments ...

muppetgirl · 26/06/2007 16:17

I trained for ks1 but ended up teaching juniors. Then went back and taught music throughout the school which was fab.

muppetgirl · 26/06/2007 16:19

...and no, no one does the poo dance for me

j20baby · 26/06/2007 16:21

i think my dd was having a poo dance done for her earlier, she took her 2 friends with her while she went to the loo, a girl age 7, and a boy age 4, its like they think its normal or something

honeyapple · 26/06/2007 17:12

Hi all,

Just had a look at that mercedes thread... very funny, especially as a proud and happy SAHM that isnt slitting my wrists over my ironing as some would like to believe. (Actually I don't do ironing at all...) and Muppetgirl- well done for fighting our corner!

Hi to the new people... have you posted on the stats thread?

I have also found a very sad thread, started by Manitz who was on the original due in Oct thread. It is about congential heart problem with her LO. Very sad, but she is sounding amazingly brave. Puts all this pregnancy stuff into perspective really.

designerbaby · 26/06/2007 17:44

Stat's thread?

j20baby · 26/06/2007 17:46

look under antenatal topic for october stats thread, or i'll do a link in a min for you

HonorMatopoeia · 26/06/2007 18:49

Evening all!
Another teacher here - currently year 4 jack of all trades!!Very much loking forward to the end of term

So to hear about Jade Goody, I always go into a minor panic when i hear about mc, start thinking very irrational thoughts. Doesn't help that I had aches again all last night and ended up being awake for hours worrying.

My doppler has arrived today. I'm sure someone on her has mentioned they have one? Any tips for making it work effectively? I'm trying to wait till lo kicks off and then use it, so if I can't find the hb then I still know she's ok.

Caffeine intake, I'm drinking mostly decaf but tend to have a couple of mugs of coffee proper when I'm at work. However, am eating chocolate as if its going out of fashion!!

x

HonorMatopoeia · 26/06/2007 18:55

Just added myself to the stats thread, didn't realise there was one !
WTP and ejt, didn't realise you were Midlands girls too!

dal21 · 26/06/2007 19:11

Hello everyone! I am following mrs fish over here. technically I am due 28th sept, but since is my first - cannot help but feel that the whole sept thread will have had theirs and I'll be left alone with my swollen ankles desperately swilling raspberry tea well into October.
Hope you dont mind if I join/ pop in once in a while.

right am off to find the mercedes thread you are all talking about - sounds hilarious!

nellieloula · 26/06/2007 19:11

finally added myself too! HOpe everyone is well - I followed your lead and went to the supermarket and stocked up on treats! Looking forward to a little sticky toffee, pecan tart tonight! Hope everyone has had a good day.

muppetgirl · 26/06/2007 19:14

How far gone was jade goody?

dal21 · 26/06/2007 19:32

HonorMatopoeia · 26/06/2007 19:35

welcome dal
poor jad goody.

j20baby · 26/06/2007 19:38

welcome dal, i think its possible ladies due sep, oct and nov will all be crossing over into each others months.

is anyones bump feeling really heavy lately?

dal21 · 26/06/2007 20:20

have just read the mercedes thread! absolutely hilarious! that is the second post where I have come across xenia and mozhe. interesting characters. not sure what to make of them. i reckon they are kids coming on here and stirring up debates. They cannot possibly be real!!

alicet · 26/06/2007 20:22

Hi dal! And welcome!

My brain is now buzzing after catching up on all that! I shouldn't have to work - its interfering with my MN habit!!!

Have saved the link that someone was asking my advice on - sorry can't remember who!! - and will check it later.....

Saw the beginning of the mercedes thread a few days ago but it wasn't so comedy then. Will have to check that out too!!! i like the 'am i beign unreasonable?' threads - I find it quite amusing how wound up people get!! Does that make me unreasonable?!

pmsl at poo dance too!!!!

Big hello to all of you - sorry this is so brief (maybe thats a good thing given some of my posts lately!) but I'm knackered and need to sit on my bum and chill in front of mindless telly!

But... Anyone live in the North East for a meet up at some point?

muppetgirl · 26/06/2007 20:24

Hi dal21
I'm one of the 'crossovers'
I have a 3rd due date of 5th Nov, 1st being 27th Oct, 2nd being 29th Oct and then at scan last week got told dates possible out by 2 weeks so could back in Oct!!

alicet · 26/06/2007 20:26

Meant to say congrats to inzi too - really pleased your scan went well.

Hope you're OK too greedy - must have missed your post in my frantic catch up but from the other posts you're obviously unhappy. Big hugs winging their way to you! x

tinytotmummy · 26/06/2007 20:32

Added myself to the stats thread, had a good giggle at the merc thread (I'm a proud SAHM I am and my DH pays for everything!!!)

Now off to do the shopping. Must find some other use for the internet apart from shopping and mn!

alicet · 26/06/2007 20:36

muppetgirl - not sure if the thread you wanted me to look at was by sidekick who had a dd with some bistery sounding lesions on her vagina? Just asking as you weren't on the thread at all so not sure if you had meant to link something else? I agree with the poster who said this could be chickenpox but have to say that it's not my area of expertise so couldn't say with any confidence....

muppetgirl · 26/06/2007 20:45

Yes it was that one, sorry to be cheeky it's just she seemed quite worried
