Thought I'd get the new thread started as no one objected to my title suggestion

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Inzi; saw the thread that upset you and nearly jumped in there lashing all and sundry with my tongue (metaphorically)...but I decided it wasnt worth risking my bloodpressure on people who are so blase about something so delicate and precious.
Greedy; ROFL about your fil buying your pile cream..but you and Muppet are scaring me about the poo softening tablets! I'm having enough probs in that dept as it is! (again)

OP posts:
muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 18:01

sorry floria!
The first shower is fab -oh to be clean again.
And to be a tummy sleeper again is also fab!

MrsFish · 29/06/2007 18:05

and to not have heartburn... I remember having heartburn during labour, but as soon as ds popped out it disappeared straight away

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 18:07

during labour? oh you poor thing..
ah a friend of mine said take honey into the delivery sweet and if you're not allowed to eat (I wasn't) then dip your finger in the honey when the m/w goes out the door, good for energy..

lisad123 · 29/06/2007 18:14

Honey, I'll have to rememeber that.As for first bath, the midwife made me walk to bathroom day after my section. Problem was bath was four steps up, took me 20 mins to get in and even longer to get out

The midwife got told off for giving me half a sandwich and sip of water after 5 hours of nothing, because they hadnt decided what to do. I could have kissed her hehe.
i forgot all about these little things, god all coming back quick as now.
Heres hoping i have a VBAC rather than another section, i think unless having that monster baby, and in which case they can take her out of the sunroof

MrsFish · 29/06/2007 18:18

Only one thing wrong with that muppetgirl - I hate honey

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 18:19

Can i ask a question that's been bugging me??

If i (god forbide but go with me!) was in a car crash and needed emergency treatment ie surgery would they stop to ask if i'd had breakfast that morning or how many cups of tea i'd drunk?

Can you see where i'm going with this..?

Why are mothers to be in labour not allowed to eat?

I didn't eat from 6 o'clock thur to 5 am sat morning and was, quite frankly' hank marvin!!!
I wasn't even allowed to really drink, just sip.

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 18:20

not my favourite either mrs fish!

MrsFish · 29/06/2007 18:22

muppetgirl - thats horrendous, I can't imagine being in labour and having to go that long without food, its barbaric. I'm sure in my notes it tells you take things with you to snack and sip on??

lisad123 · 29/06/2007 18:30

I know what you mean muppet girl, terrible. They stop you eating if they think there is a chance of c section. Did the same to me.

I guess in emergency they would have no choice, but if planned they prefer you not to eat. Think it adds to complications. Only good thing was they brought tea and toast after me op, and im so glad as it was 1am, and would have had to wait till breakie

j20baby · 29/06/2007 18:34

he he, and nearer to dropping, maybe, piggies are off to market, squealing piglets.

pigs in blankets
bacon sarnies all round(maybe not)
now all i can think of is food again! just had a pizza, really need to do more decorationg but i don't think my body will let me.

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 18:38

Well for the third friday night on the trot dh is out on the piss straight from work, so I have his silliness to contend with when he gets in I don't really begdrudge it as he is having a very stressful time at work atm as it is year end, but I do feel a bit jealous that I have been in with ds all day on my own and he is out having fun and relaxing

MrsFish · 29/06/2007 20:07

Ooops, really need a new thread, what will the topic be?

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 20:08

Do I have the daftest dh or what?

After pesky Jack Russell bit through hover cable I've had to borrow the neighbours...(shut pjr -is that a new acronym?- away) I have hoovered and dh has just tried to return the hoover full of our shit!!!

Why do men never think??

'Thanks for the use of your hoover, here have copious amounts of dog hair and the odd stray hair grip......'
