Thought I'd get the new thread started as no one objected to my title suggestion

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 21:07

Am currently bidding for pirates on ebay...wish me luck!

j20baby · 24/06/2007 21:08

pirates? good luck

tinytotmummy · 24/06/2007 21:15

Thanks all for the welcome

I promise to be a more prolific poster from now on!

I will add myself to the list but for some reason my right click isn't working on explorer - I need to shut down but takes too long and might miss something!

Just had a little giggle at my dd, who had fallen asleep on the floor in her room complete with pillow and duvet. Why bother with a bed?

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 21:18

I won the pirates!! (To go with pirate ship for ds as a surprise)
..then got angel delight all in my hair, god I love cravings!! ;)

Inzidoodle, I'm so sorry, this must be an awful time for you. Even thought I'm new to all this just to say you're in my thoughts.

alicet · 24/06/2007 21:35

J20 - your mw unit sounds like a nightmare! I would agree with inzi to just turn up if you are worried and get no joy from them or your regular midwife. Prob they never paged her before so don't be disheartened. If it happens again and you don't get a call back I would ring again after half an hour and say she hasn't got back to you so could they either page her again or get in contact with someone else. I would second floria that you shouldn't worry about seeming paranoid. Who cares if they think that as long as you and lo are ok? Anyway there will always be someone more 'paranoid' than you! here's hoping you are just being paranoid but if you're worried get yourself checked out!

Floria - good luck for your scan tomorrow! Fingers crossed x

Muppetgirl - can't remember if i told you this already but I was having runs of bh's at 18 weeks although they seem to have settled now. MW said they come much earlier in second and subsequent pregnancies so if everything else is OK then try not to worry. However if you are worried the get yourself checked out too - see comments to J20 above!!!!

alicet · 24/06/2007 21:38

Oh my god - Angel delight!!!! Want some NOW! Going to go rummage in cupboard (which is highly disorgnaised as ds plays in it on a daily basis and I've given up organising it back). Will be GUTTED if we don't have any - shop only over the road and open till 10 but can't go as dh is away!

Boo - no angel delight. Off to sulk now....

alicet · 24/06/2007 21:41

Inzi - more importantly than angel delight - I hope everything goes well for you. Can't begin to imagine how scary this is for you and floria. Will be thinking of you both and sending lots of virtual hugs over the next few weeks xxxx

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 21:44

..last pregnancy it was chewits -strawberry and 2 packets.
I then went onto malteezers -small packet, then large packet then bucket. I virtually growled at dh if he came near me to nick any...

Well this thread has finally kicked off, been confined to the sofa all day, kept refreshing but nothing... give laptop to husband finally get it back and then loads to catch up on

Welcome tinytotmummy

Well I am finally starting to feel better after a bout of sickness. Not sure what bought it on as didn't have any stomach pains, just throwing up from 8pm-2am this morning and feeling generally exhausted and achy all day. Must be a bug as can't think what I have eaten to cause such a reaction.

Hope everyone else who is feeling down/poorly get better soon

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 21:47

I know the feeling... i can;t help feeling the reason the baby is too big for dates is because i am eating sooooo much.

alicet · 24/06/2007 21:47

Inzi I am so jealous!!!!!

Not had a craving for this before but I really fancied something sweet after dinner tonight which is really unusual - usually have a much more savoury tooth. So hence we have nothing that will do - fruit / yogurt - no ta far too healthy, and stale ginger nuts that I had bought to ward off nausea - nice.

Last time though it was jaffa cakes (actually salivating thinking about them too!!) - I could virtually inhale a whole pack in about a minute!

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 21:48

sorry cross thread that was in reply to inzidoodle

alicet · 24/06/2007 21:48

MrsFish - glad you're feeling better and hope it continues!

MrsFish · 24/06/2007 21:49

Cravings - Mine must have to be chocolate milk, I'm drinking loads of it

alicet - I know its no consolation but I have about 4 pkts of AD in my cupboard

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 21:49

yep, jaffa cakes would definately do it for me!

alicet · 24/06/2007 21:49

I hate you all with your angel delight!!!!

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 21:50

actually, is this cruel? I ate a chocolate mousse with my son in the same room but hid it on the counter and ate it when he wasn;t looking!!!!

alicet · 24/06/2007 21:50

pmsl muppetgirl!!! Not cruel at all - that would be blatantly eating it in front of him while he cried and reached longingly for it!

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 21:51

..earlier on today that was.
Good that means i've eaten
2 x chocolate mousse
1x whole packet of angel delight
today.
eek.
