hi all, i'm so tired so please forgive me for not replying to everyone! have not decoreated this weekend, as i feel so sluggish, having a bad time with dd at the moment and feeling very tearful. also getting bh quite a lot and also backache and swollen ankles, i rung the mw on fri as i had stomach pains, and she didn't even bother ringing me back, i've got quite a dull ache tonight in my stomach and back but i don't see the point in ringing her again, could be cconstipation. anyway will get an early night and hopefully feel better tommorrow.

hope everyone is as good as can be expected and thinking of you all x

WinnieThePooh · 24/06/2007 20:02

HI all

Alict- Sorry to hear about your SIL, hopefully she will recover quockly now she seems to be getting the help that she needs.

Sorry I can't keep up with everyone else's post.

The other day DP calleed me into his office to look at something on his computer. It was a steering wheel for the XBox360. I originally was going to say no way, but then said, if he gets one I want an Amby Nest for DD2. He is having a think about it.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend.

HonorMatopoeia · 24/06/2007 20:09

J20 - am that your midwife didn't even ring you back. I'd definitely ring her again so she gets the message that you're not messing around and this is really worrying you. It probably is constipation or the like but it's the principle I think!!

WTP - good move on the baby nest- wonder if that would work with my Dh?!

j20baby · 24/06/2007 20:14

thanks hm but tbh they scare me when i ring, as if i'm making a fuss! will see how i go tonight, bloody coward me is

HonorMatopoeia · 24/06/2007 20:18

I thoroughly understand, the last time I rang after my collapse, I said I was worried because I hadn't felt the baby move as I had before and in the background I heard some cowbag say:
'Movements at 15 weeks? Who's she kidding?'
They're really approachable aren't they?

alicet · 24/06/2007 20:24

ejt - sorry you're struggling so much. Big hugs winging their way to you!

J20 - sorry to hear you're having a tough time. How about ringing the hospital and chatting to the midwives there instead? you could chat to them tonight if you tried that...

winnie - nice one on the amby nest!!!! Very quick thinking that I'm not sure my baby brain would be up to! I'm also thinking of getting one - need to chat to dh when he gets back.

alicet · 24/06/2007 20:25

big hugs to you J20!!!!

alicet · 24/06/2007 20:25

and to everyone else who is struggling.... Or not - nothing wrong with a hug!

j20baby · 24/06/2007 20:27

that was nice of her!

actually my mw is quite nice but she seems a little dippy they said they'd page her and get her to contact me, so i don't even know if she was actually paged. when i'd rung the antenatal unit and said that i was very breathless and had chest pains, i tried to carry on and say, that they where above my bump and also round my side, she squalked at me 'well, we only deal with pregnancy issues, if you have chest pains see your gp or go to a & e' and put the phone down on me. i ended up going to the loo at work to have a cry! then rung my gp, but the one i use is on hol for 2 weeks, so will probably end up waiting to see him unless i get really bad.

oh the joys of pregnancy!

j20baby · 24/06/2007 20:29

the 'that was nice of her' was to HM btw

and hugs back to you too alice, and also to everyone else

oh the hormones! i feel like crying now! am definately off to bed

hi tiny and welcome back, congrats on finding out she's a girl

j20baby · 24/06/2007 20:41

just looked at that list and realised we haven't heard anything from greedy for a while, or have i missed her? hope she's ok

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 20:43

Hello everyone (Muppet the newby here!)
Alicet -I am so sorry to hear about your sil, I can only say what the others have said that she is in the best place possible :0
I'm exhausted from 3 year olds constant 'why's?' (any advice in how to passifiy him?)
And still having the elastic band tightenings which certainly make pushing a trolly or walking very far interesting.

j20baby · 24/06/2007 20:48

hi muppet, sorry no advice, i had my freinds 3 yo and 8 mo ds's for the whole day on thurs, and i'm still recovering! i'm also getting the tightenings, sorry can't remember whatyou said about them, are they bh?

muppetgirl · 24/06/2007 20:51

Hi j20baby
Yes i think so, bit weird having them so soon as had them with ds quite late on. Feels like anything i do involving using my legs gives way to them. Going upstairs, walking, cooking etc.

FloriaTosca · 24/06/2007 20:55

Hi all!
I Wish I had bought shares in Amby before I told you all about my natures nest ...do you think they'll give me commission if I tell them I'm the one responsible for the avalanche of orders!
Inzi; I truly feel for you at this time...my anniversary for Robyn will be the 1st September (and the week before) and I absolutely dread it so totally understand what you must be going through. I have a scan tomorrow too..I'll be thinking of you.
Alice; I cant believe how fast your poor s-i-l deteriorated... I'm so glad she is getting the right help so quickly...but horrified that she lept from the window and now has repair broken bones as well as recover from the birth and pnd....I will be thiking of her and all of your family also.
J20 Dont let the MWs intimidate you...it is supposed to be their job to reassure and help. If you have any concerns they should be taken seriously; I'm no longer ashamed of looking a paranoid wimp...I had 48 hours of being told there ws nothing wrong and I was over anxious before I lost Robyn, perhaps if I had been more forceful about my concerns she would be a bouncing 6 month old now (though I must admit that this time round they seem even more paranoid than me! ). Better to be safe than sorry; get to see one tomorrow and get yourself checked over.

everyone- will definately ring again tommorrow as i've just realised i'm very very thirsty too, which isn't like me, i'm normally dehydrated.

j20baby · 24/06/2007 21:05

ft - sorry, didn't mean to ignore your post, i keep meaning to say, but don't really know how, so will just say it, i think Robyn is such a beautiful name and would have liked to have used it for my lo, but the sperm donor is called Rob, and don't want him thinking i named her after him, i really hope that posting this doesn't offend you in any way

j20baby · 24/06/2007 21:06
