Well hello all! Been away awhile - in London for work on Thurs and not back till late, then completely exhausted on Friday and in bed by 7pm!!! Has taken me ages to catch up!
J20 - glad you're feeling better today. You have been manic recently - I think you should listen to what your body is telling you and slow down! I had a lot of dizziness when pg with ds1 and ended up being signed off about now as I kept fainting at work. So look after yourself and rest as much as you can.
HMP - hope you have a lovely time tonight!
inzi - glad dh is feeling better
Pheebe - congrats on your little boy! I too am expecting a second boy and although had thought I'd like a girl as for me too its going to be the last one I was actually relaly pleased to be having a little boy again. It will be lovely for ds to have a brother.
Nellie - glad all was well with your scan too although sorry you didn't have the best experience. Sounds like the docs were a bit tactless although I guess the consultant does have a duty to warn you of the risks associated with a section. Could have done it a bit more tactfully though!
Polar - the chinese chart had predicted a girl for me and also that ds was a girl - so not always accurate!
MrsFish - we had a 3D scan for ds1 - it was absolutely fantastic. Going to arrange one when we're about 30 weeks this time too. Sure you will really enjoy it! And funnily enough the pictures do look like him as well!
Unicorn - welcome!
ejt - great plan to chat to your pil's with your family there too as they then can't take it personally. And you will have some back up if they are unreasonable!
Floria - sorry you had that scare - you must have been terrified. Really good to hear its all fine though...
Buffy - will just add to everyones comments that I think your school has behaved appallingly. I think he should be allowed to keep his inhaler with him if he knows how to use it (I guess they might be worried that children couldn't use it properly and might not ask for help until they were really ill? Just a thought...). But to not give it to him because they were having dinner if absolutely appalling.
Hello to everyone else!
Just been to try out pushchairs today. Was pretty keen on the Phil and Teds sport but when we put ds into it there is this metal bar above his head that he will hit with his head if he grows about an inch taller. Not great design!! He also looked really uncomfortable. And other tandem pushchairs were really difficult for me to manouvere with him in the front seat so we will need a side by side. Trouble is that our front door is really narrow. Now looking at the mountain buggy urban (will get second hand on ebay) but can't find anywhere near us who stocks them to try it out. Boo!
Have also bought a new cot with a drop side. ds has a cot bed and the sides are fixed. I am beginning to struggle now to get him in and out with my bump in the way! SO will put him in the new cot until ds2 arrives then back into his original one when I can get him in and out again!
Phew - think that will do for now! Think my longest post ever!!!!
