Thought I'd get the new thread started as no one objected to my title suggestion

Buffy I am honestly and at your school not letting your DS keep his inhaler with him and not only that but not bringing it out when they do PE!! I am a Brownie leader and if we take the girls away anywhere that is the only type of medication they are allowed to carry themselves we look after anything else and if we are leaving the base we are staying at we always check they have them with them, I really cannot believe the school. I feel like calling them and having a rant on your behalf! Just so glad that his new school is so different.

FT sorry you had such a horrible day yesterday and glad it all turned out well, mind you it must have been awful on the Ward

Hello to everyone else, [waves madly] hope you are all well and that we get some let up in this rain over the weekend!

Oh and hello and welcome to Unicorn glad you decided to join us

j20baby · 15/06/2007 16:32

HM i got to 24 weeks on wed, and i can see the movements quite clearly now when i'm laid down or in the bath,, the movement kind of feels like a clicky feeling, does that sound weird?

ejt wonderwoman ha! i've just had to sit down since i've just started going really dizzy, i want to get on with unpacking boxes in the kitchen and cook something nice in my new cooker, but can't stand up at the moment! maybe i should eat some chocolate glad you've had a good day, mine has been quite productive, i also got my verbaudet order through, so i've finally got a maternity denim skirt, although its too flaming cold at the moment!

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 16:41

j20, that makes perfect sense, on ocassion I get that feeling too so hopefully in a few more weeks I'll get more of that and less of the spasm feeling!
Please be careful with the feeling dizzy thing. I passed out whilst shopping because I didn't pay any attention to feeling 'strange'! Sitting down and, if possible, lifting your feet higher than your heart iyswimis the bet thing to do I've been told! Take care of yourself

MrsFish · 15/06/2007 16:51

Ejt - your hairdo sounds fab, thinking of having mine cut again too. I had a big haircut just after xmas, took 8 inches off the length It was quite long though (see profile pic) but it has grown back alot, so was thinking of another big trim and some colour putting through it.

Buffy - I really can't believe how your ds's school are acting about his inhaler, I think it is appalling, this new school sounds brilliant.

J20 - TAKE IT EASY

I am 25 weeks on sunday and can really see movement now, I find it fascinating to watch my tummy jumping all over the place. The movement has really increased in the past three days, seems to be continually wriggling around.

Mumpbump - I have just booked in for a 3D scan on the 30th of June, can't wait, I'm so excited, will post a pic in my profile afterwards

I should have had a midwife appointment today... well actually it was yesterday but I wrote it down wrong on my calendar, so turned up at docs this morning at 10am to be told it has now been rescheduled next thursday

Well the weather had cleared up nicely around 2pm and it was lovely and sunny, now it looks like armegeddon (sp?) its gone very dark with thunder, lightning,. rain and wind, can't believe its the same day. Its supposedly going to be like this till next week now which is a shame as we had planned to go to Twycross Zoo on saturday

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 16:56

MrsFish, you have just reminded me. . . I meant to ask about 3D scans. How did you all go about booking one? Did you google and find the nearest place that did them? I have no idea but it's something I'd like to consider

buffythenappyslayer21 · 15/06/2007 17:08

the school ds is in now simply cant be bothered.ive had nothing but problems with my kids there for the last few years and am more excited than ds about him moving!!when my dd was being bullied there they did sod all to prevent it.because the boy bullying her had special needs(in my opinion hes just very naughty, hes actually my lunatic next door neighbours kid) they said there was nothing they could do!!i complained to everyone i could think of,and still this boy got away with it.the last straw came when he tried to push dd down 3 flights of concrete steps.i rang the police and got them to visit the school.did the trick, the head suspended the boy.

because of the way this school is no way was i letting dd3 go.she has to have medicines every 2 hours, plus her inhaler, and no way could i trust them to give her them.education department said its not compulsory for her to go to school until shes 5,so we didnt send her to nursery (which is at the school).told new headmaster about dd and he said that when it comes to her starting there he will make sure she has an assistant with her.

am hoping that when we go to the housing meeting next week, our house will have a roof!!!its so exciting watching it grow from nothing!!!

MrsFish · 15/06/2007 17:11

buffythenappyslayer21 · 15/06/2007 17:11

oh and little madam in there has found my ribs!!and she seems to enjoy kicking my right hand side ribs until i move!!!only another 16 weeks of getting beaten up from the inside!!

j20baby · 15/06/2007 17:15

buffy - yep know what you mean, always starving, and understand what you mean about being dizzy when laid down.
everytime i go dizzy i start giggling, it feels funny. weirdo aren't i

j20baby · 15/06/2007 18:47

well, i've rung the mw and she said it could be a combination of low blood pressure and being anemic, and if i get any worse to ring them back. i kind of feel like i've taken drugs or something, maybe i just need an early night, would like to go for a bath but daren't as its only me and dd here, i rung my mum, but she's busy, as usual. mind you, i can't be that bad or i wouldn't be able to type would i?

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 18:58

Thanks MrsFish, I''ll definitely look into that- I just want another scan, loved seeing Dd2

j20,pleased you've rung the midwife, do keep an eye on yourself though. I know you know this, but watch out for flashing lights and headaches too.Remember - feet elevated!

j20baby · 15/06/2007 19:01

well i've got like little flashy lights inside my head(if this makes sense) but not in my eyes, i don't really know what to do, because like i say i'm on my own with dd, feel like crying. what does flashy lights mean?

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 19:06

Please don't panic chick, it probably means nothing but can be one of the signs they look for in pre-eclampsia. Can you ring midwife again and mention them as well, she can advise you better. Please don't forget I'm only erring on the side of caution though

j20baby · 15/06/2007 19:14

have posted in pg topics, as i am a bit worried, the thing is i got induced with dd1 due to the risk of pre-eclampsia, (high bp and protien in urine) if i ring mw she'll want me to go in, but i have noone to ring and can't really drive myself, don't know what to do

have got my feet up

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 19:17

Oh hon, I really hope I haven'tpanicked you . Have you got no friends nearby who could pop in? Is your Dd in bed? Could you drop her off with someone? \or ould your midwife come to you if you asked her?

j20baby · 15/06/2007 19:23

shes not in bed yet, but in her room. don't really want to call anyone as i may be overreacting, bit scared of ringing mw again, they may think i'm making a fuss. don't worry, you haven't made me panic, and thanks for the bump

will see how i feel in the next half an hour and if i'm no better, i'll call her back.

j20baby · 15/06/2007 19:25

btw, was looking up dizziness, and found this www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/weightgain/ it predicts weightgain in pg, quite interesting

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 19:27

Phew, visions of you in a pileof tears because of me! Agree you should leave it a bit but do ring if it gets worse or doesn;t shift, I'll stop being Mum now
Dare I click on the weight gain link?I'm a heifer at the best of times!!

j20baby · 15/06/2007 19:30

mine was 1.11 st - 2.7 st, already gained at least 1 st.

hmm, just realised, that i've been getting lightheaded quite a lot, but have chosen to ignore it normally, maybe i should go start stripping wallpaper and will feel better

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 19:36

DO NOT....I REPEAT... DO NOT MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop stripping wallpaper, put your feet up and relax!!!
If it's any consolation, when I kept passing out it was just due to low bp and I had the flashing lights and everything!

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 19:36

Oh and mine was 1.1 st and I reckon I've easily put that on already!

j20baby · 15/06/2007 19:41

read it properly, thats what i thought, but it adds your weight to the baby's weight at the bottom of the page, it'll probably be more like 2.5 st or something.

don't worry, was kidding think i'm getting used to it now, going to go for a bath and give dd my phone and get her to keep checking me just in case.

thank you for being concerned, will come back on when i've had a bath x

HonorMatopoeia · 15/06/2007 19:45

Have a relaxing bath chick - may have gone to bed when you return but will check first thing in the morning if I do
No,checked again and it's definitely 1 stone 1 lb as i say, probably because I'm usually such a fat heifer anyway!

maisym · 15/06/2007 20:13

just tried the weight calculator! - says I'd gain 12.7 to 18.1kgs - last time I gained 30kgs!!

maisym · 15/06/2007 20:14

2 stone to 2 stone 12. My scales are kilo & gram - so not sure what 30 kilo is.
