Good luck @SPR1107 I’m full of cold and feeling sorry for myself but have a cup of tea and some marmite on toast :)

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 01/10/2018 09:48

Any news on your scan date @MigMog I have to wait until 13 weeks for mine :(

MigMog · 01/10/2018 10:40

@SheRaTheAllPowerful nope no news yet! The hospital told me to ring back today and see if any paper work arrived. I'm going to wait till late afternoon.

I'm just worried about how quick the turn around will be. I've just a week and a bit till 13.6. Hoping they can fit me in before then or I think we will consider private

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 01/10/2018 12:07

@MigMog I hope they fit you in ASAP I would tell them you are not 100% on your dates,so annoying that you have to chase.

SPR1107 · 01/10/2018 12:26

That is annoying @MigMog! I would go to the doctor and ask if you can be sent to EPU!

Scan all good, thanks everyone. Got a really clear picture too (DS1 photo was a blur at this stage!)

Ah @SPR1107 that's an amazing pic.

My scan is a week on Friday, when I'll be 12+1 according to my dates. I'm so impatient for it. But my scan is at 10am, and according to the instructions I have to finish drinking 2 pints of water by 1 hour before, which just sounds horrific at that time in the morning. I can normally only stomach coffee (decaff, at the mo) until about 10am. And I'm such a slow drinker anyway, I'm going to have to get up at like 5am to achieve that!

monkerina · 01/10/2018 12:51

Lovely pic @SPR Smile

I'm not sure how much of a 'must' the water drinking is if you're reasonably sure of your dates- for mine last week I'd had a D&V bug overnight and literally couldn't keep a sip of water down; the sonographer had no issues.

DS and previous pregnancies my 12 week scan was never before 13+4 with no issues (with the scan at least)- try not to worry but do give them a nudge!!

SPR1107 · 01/10/2018 14:02

I just drank one 75cl of Evian on the way there, started to drink it about 40 minutes before my appointment, and they were absolutely fine with that

MigMog · 01/10/2018 16:40

Thanks for the comments everyone. I spoke to the hospital again. No paper work had arrived. The nurse I spoke to suddenly realised I was 12.2 so booked me in! Scan Is on Monday next week (a day after my birthday). She's just made a note to say that paperwork is on the way.

Going to nudge my midwife to chase that but I'm so relieved I have a scan date!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 01/10/2018 16:44

Thank goodness @MigMog it’s totally not on is it!

SPR1107 · 01/10/2018 17:56

Good news @MigMog!

AlbaGirl8 · 02/10/2018 02:14

Had our scan today! 12+3, due date of 12th April! Little one was a wee show off and got brilliant clear pictures! Very exciting!! Who is finding out gender, and who is keeping it a surprise? I want a surprise, but hubby wants to know. 8 weeks to decide! This is our first. Thoughts? x

SPR1107 · 02/10/2018 07:05

We have the same due date @AlbaGirl8 and I also had my scan yesterday.

We're not finding out. With DS they put him on my chest and my husband was able to tell me what he was. I want to do that again, because it was nice that my husband got to have something special

AlbaGirl8 · 02/10/2018 07:10

@SPR1107 Aw congratulations, and hello due date buddy! See I think that’s absolutely lovely what you guys did at the birth of your DS, and that’s what I’ve always pictured doing too. Hubby is just impatient! I’m thinking I’ll win though - it’s been a rough ride so far with sickness for me, so I deserve to get my way with this, I’m the one going through it all! Haha! X

monkerina · 02/10/2018 07:51

Lovely pic @Albagirl Smile

We'll definitely find out- with DS we had a very good idea at the 12 week scan but this one was a lot more shy! It removes 50% of the name debate at least... and we're both far too impatient Grin

newrubylane · 02/10/2018 09:33

I think we're going to find out. i want to be able to go mad with the cutesy baby clothes. And I'm with Monkerina on the name debate, too!

italianwifey · 02/10/2018 09:53

Ah lovely pic @albagirl, im so excited for all of you with these lovely scans. Mine isnt until Thursday afternoon and I keep swinging between excitement and dreading it because im so worried they might say something has gone wrong! Nothing I can do about it even if that was the case I know. @Migmog thats so frustrating...especially when you have chased it once already, Im glad they have you booked in now though!

WhereistheWit · 02/10/2018 10:22

Hello everyone! I jumped on at the start but disappeared for a bit hopefully I can catch up a bit more now. If I’ve worked out correctly I should be 12 weeks today. But I haven’t even had my booking in appt yet and it’s not till the 15th! I really want a gender scan at 16 weeks so I’ve decided to book a dating scan for this Sunday just so I know every things ok and the proper due date. I’m getting big already but it’s my 3rd and my stomach muscles are destroyed haha!

Lovely to see everyone’s scans. I might ask the sonographer to get a clear shot of the nub so I can try guess!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 02/10/2018 10:57

@WhereistheWit welcome why is your booking in appointment so late? Have they given you a hospital dating scan because this needs to be before 13&6, assuming you are UK, do you think they have your correct dates? X

I’ll be 12 weeks on Sunday and have to wait until 13 weeks for my scan, am so glad I had my EPU very quick scan it feels like it’s taking forever.

Lazysundays · 02/10/2018 17:38

Don’t stress about the water! My scan was at 9.30am - at 9am I was violently throwing up and can assure you not an ounce of water had gone down, but all was fine!!

ashley992 · 02/10/2018 17:38

Lovely scan pics, ours was having a nap on it's tummy it seems. Never seen a baby on a scan this way up before! We won't be finding out the gender, we like the thought of a surprise!

WhereistheWit · 02/10/2018 19:40

@sheratheallpowerful Pretty much I recently moved house out of area from my original doctors and they are refusing to see me now as I hadn’t changed before realising I was pregnant. So the new doctors I’ve signed up to the next available appointment was the 15th! I couldn’t believe it but not sure what else I could do. I’ll be 14 weeks by time I even get to booking appt if LMP is correct. So I’ve booked a private dating scan just for reassurance and dates for now.

I’m 12 weeks exactly today but I’m wondering if I could of potentially ovulated later and be a little more behind because my last cycle was longer than usual and it’s been a bit all over the place since I had DS2.

WhereistheWit · 02/10/2018 19:42

@ashley992 I’ve never seen a scan that way up either, amazing!

WhereistheWit · 02/10/2018 19:43

I’m getting worried now about not having NHS scan because I won’t get the nuchal check privately will I? :( I didn’t think of that maybe I should call the hospital for advice

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 02/10/2018 19:48

I would complain to the hospital Wit, it all sounds very unprofessional on their part. People move all the time, can you call the midwife department and ask for advice?
