jess21690 I am 11+4 today and also have my scan on the 1st. I had one at 7+4 and all was well. The last 2 days I have felt much better and symptoms seem to be decreasing a lot, I am worrying because I had a miscarriage previously, but only at 5 weeks.
I am petrified for my scan and a mmc as since my last one my dad was diagnosed with cancer, it has been a total shock and my anxiety/upset/upset stomach has been awful that I worry I could have harmed the baby. I am so petrified to tell everyone as I worry it will upset my dad given the circumstances or will it give him the hope he needs.

Has anyone else experienced any kind of grief in early pregnancy?

Hi all.
Joining as a newbie... 9 weeks pregnant today with my first. Excited and scared. Haven't really had any symptoms except the missed periods and sore boobs. Keep having dreams of losing baby after having had pcos since I was 17 and struggled to lose 8 stone. Booking appt on weds so can't wait for a scan date after that! Struggling to keep it a secret as it's my birthday tomorrow and I'm just avoiding people as no one would believe I wouldn't be doing anything or having a drink to celebrate Blush

Footymum81 · 23/09/2018 09:09

Welcome and congratulations to the new joiners! 12+1 now and looking forward to the scan on Tuesday! DH has got himself all worked up about it though, he's all nervous whereas I'm more excited.

MigMog · 23/09/2018 17:11

How long before your scan did you get a date through? I'm 11 weeks today and still don't have a scan date.

AlbaGirl8 · 23/09/2018 18:19

Hi all! Can I join in here? I’m 25, first baby due mid April and I’m the first of my friends to have a baby, so loving mumsnet for all the support and advice! 11 + 2 at the mo. Had my first scan last week but baby was a bit small to measure, although he/she was having a great time dancing round in there, and heartbeat going strong! Brilliantly I get to to back and see little one again next week, for a proper due date! I’m guessing around the 12th tho! So excited, but pregnancy has been rough so far, with major sickness! How’s everyone else faring? X

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 23/09/2018 18:36

@MigMog I’m 10 weeks today and still no scan date, I had my booking in appointment two weeks ago. I think they can scan up to 13&6 so hopefully we’ll know soon.
Welcome @AlbaGirl8 is that Alba as in Italian truffles or the name? You’re making me feel old I’m 38!
I still feel crap but have discovered dark chocolate ginger biscuits by Border, yum!
Have a massively sweet tooth, which is so unusual for me.

AlbaGirl8 · 23/09/2018 18:41

@SheRaTheAllPowerful Hi! Alba is Gaelic for Scotland, and that’s where I’m from, so went with that! :) Don’t feel old, we’re all in this together regardless! In the early days ginger biscuits were about all I could stomach! Thankfully getting back to normal now. On cyclazine, but managing a few days without them now, so hoping by the 12 week mark this horrible nausea will have subsided altogether! At least we know there are healthy babies in there growing big and strong. It’s all worth it! X

Treaclepie19 · 23/09/2018 19:16

Hi everyone :)
Welcome Albagirl8!

My next scan is on the 9th Oct... if baby catches up with my dates I'll be 14w exactly
Slightly nervous that I'll go from baby being too small to date to too big :/

Smafa · 23/09/2018 20:02

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your support, @monkerina and @SheRaTheAllPowerful in particular. It's a great group & I hope you all have healthy, happy tiny humans.

We lost ours at 9 wks. So I'll be off now. Hopefully we'll keep trying.
Take care x

OhFlipMama · 23/09/2018 20:04

Oh I'm sorry @Smafa Thanks Take care of yourself.

monkerina · 23/09/2018 20:22

So sorry to hear that @smafa. Be kind to yourself, it's such a hard time x

Ohnonotanotherusername · 23/09/2018 20:29

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 23/09/2018 20:30

Treaclepie19 · 23/09/2018 20:33

I'm so sorry @Smafa Flowers
Lots of love, look after yourself xxx

Lorrie3 · 23/09/2018 21:06

@smafa so so sorry. I’m 9 weeks and it’s such a fear.
Has anybody suffered from something like a burning sensation at the back of throat? It’s not like a flu soar throat just uncomfortable very odd sensation to describe felt it last week and again tonight!

OhFlipMama · 23/09/2018 21:39

@Lorrie3 Could it be acid reflux?

Lorrie3 · 23/09/2018 21:45

@OhFlipMama yep I think it could be actually. I’ve never experienced it before but I think your right

ashley992 · 23/09/2018 22:13

It's so exciting hearing about all the scans! Congratulations! Ours is next week too. We saw baby at 10 weeks and it was all fine, moving around with a heartbeat but I still worry that things would've gone wrong for the next scan. I know once you've seen a heartbeat odds are in your favour but I just can't get that in my head enough to believe it Sad

5tarlight · 23/09/2018 22:18

So sorry to hear that @smafa, take care of yourselves Flowers

Treaclepie19 · 23/09/2018 22:27

If say acid reflux too @Lorrie3

@ashley992 just remember the odds are well and truly in your favour. At 10 weeks it's something like 99% of pregnancys will continue to term.
I had to look the other day because I was thinking the same.

italianwifey · 23/09/2018 22:36

@smafa I’m so sorry :-(

AmyRhodes · 23/09/2018 23:27

I posted a couple of weeks ago that I was moving on from mumsnet, but I haven't managed to find my way onto the Facebook group.

Sadly, I lost our little bean on Thursday at 10+4.

I'm crushed. We saw the heartbeat the day before the loss.

Best of luck to all of you.

I so hope to be a mummy one day 💔

OhFlipMama · 24/09/2018 06:53

So sorry to hear that @AmyRhodes

5tarlight · 24/09/2018 07:09

Oh Amy, I'm so sorry, such sad news. Take care.
