@Lorrie3 that's nice though :) my sister is due to have a little girl very soon! I'm the youngest in my family. I'm pretty sure everyone was half expecting it but they were all still shocked! My brother and sister in law's reaction was the best though! You'd think they'd just won the lottery! Haha

italianwifey · 20/09/2018 22:35

@ohnonotanotherusername and @beekeeping lovely scan pics!! Good luck to anyone else who has theirs soon. Does anyone know anything about using anthisan cream on mosquito bites in pregnancy? I asked in the pharmacy today as I usually take antihistamine tablets for it as they go huge but she told
Me to use the cream... I then checked online to be on the safe side, and everywhere I look it says don’t use? Does anyone know either way, too scared to use it now!!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 21/09/2018 07:22

Are you on holiday Italianwifey? Or just have lots of mosquitoes where you are? I get bitten to pieces, can you just do long sleeves and burn citronella ?

italianwifey · 21/09/2018 09:18

@sheratheallpowerful yes I was, just came back from Sicily! Managed to avoid them mostly but just discovered one on my knee. I’m not going to use the cream, don’t want to risk it!hopefully it won’t get too big haha.

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 21/09/2018 09:52

Are you married to a Sicilian? I find if you pick out the middle the stop itching, rather disgusting though :)

italianwifey · 21/09/2018 12:40

Yes I am! Haha, oh god I don’t know if I could do that 😂

Treaclepie19 · 21/09/2018 13:58

Had my scan this morning!
They put me 4 days behind so slightly too small to do the screening. 10w 6days. So have to go back in 3 weeks but all is ok so far :)

@treaclepie19 thats amazing. Lucky you im so jealous. I bet it really put your mind at rest i am 8 weeks +4 and it really doesn't feel real i can't wait for my scan!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 21/09/2018 14:06

I still don’t have my scan date and I’m 9&5 when do you think I should chase up?
Congrats @Treaclepie19 lovely picture :)

Treaclepie19 · 21/09/2018 14:08

Thank you both.
With my son I didn't get my scan date until about 11 weeks and it wasn't until 13+3. Ring if you're not sure though, they'll always have a look for you.

Fraggleface · 21/09/2018 14:52

Congrats treaclepie.

I had my scan yesterday- all was well too, thankfully, and I’m 11+6 today. New due date of 6 April Smile. I was very nervous.

italianwifey · 21/09/2018 15:33

Annie264 · 21/09/2018 15:35

I love these scan photos. So lovely to finally see isn't it!

I'm just so glad it's Friday.

Is anyone else going day to day just looking forward to bed? My work is exhausting and when I get home I'm just shattered! I find School pick-up to bed is a really long time!

I'm sure it will pass. The dreary weather doesn't help either, I'd frown rather fond of the heat wave!

Annie264 · 21/09/2018 18:20

@OhFlipMama yes! Knackered constantly! I finished work at 4 today and have been asleep on the sofa since then. Just woke up and feel even more groggy! Roll on bed time!!

OhFlipMama · 21/09/2018 18:25

Nice to have a nap! I haven't been able, my husband has been at work so I've had to cook/clean etc for my two children. It's hard being pregnant and having children already. Also a guilt trip "mummy you're tired a lot lately" and so on!

Clearly they don't know yet. Not sure how my eldest will take it. Confused

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 21/09/2018 19:04

How old is your Eldest? @OhFlipMama I told my 8 year old twins this week and they were delighted :)

OhFlipMama · 21/09/2018 19:22

@SheRaTheAllPowerful My eldest will be 10!

monkerina · 21/09/2018 20:04

Congrats @treaclepie, @fraggle and @annie, lovely pics there!

Treaclepie19 · 21/09/2018 20:12

Thanks ladies ❤ I'm over the moon.

We're not telling our son (3) until much later because I know he wont understand waiting.

OhFlipMama · 21/09/2018 20:41

@Treaclepie19 Absolutely! When we had our second, we told our eldest after the first scan but she did have to then be patient!

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 21/09/2018 22:11

I had my scan today too, all good, but like treaclepie was too soon for screening tests so I’m going back in a fortnight.

Told our dc tonight (6&3). My 6yo in particular is just jumping with excitement, it’s very cute.

purplestar9 · 22/09/2018 09:46

Lovely to see all the scan pics! I can't wait to have the first scan but I've probably still got about 3/4 weeks till mine! It's all so exciting!
I too have been so tired! Luckily DH got a lift to work today which meant I got a lie in! So feel a bit better but really should get out of bed now!

jess21690 · 22/09/2018 14:18

Lovely to start seeing scan pics! Mines a week on Monday. Has anyone else noticed symptoms easing off after 10 weeks, I'm 11+2 now, and my boobs don't hurt anymore, my mood has also lifted. I know I should just enjoy it but I can't help feeling nervous! I did have an early scan at 8+2 and everything was fine then.

monkerina · 22/09/2018 16:53

You've all got so much more patience than me, DS (2.5) has known for ages and is convinced it's a baby sister! He insisted on buying him/her a Paddington toy and carries it around telling me he's going to share it when baby sister here ❤️ we haven't told other family or colleagues yet though, only DH's boss and like allllll my mum friends.
Scan on Monday morning, currently feeling positive but no doubt that will turn into The Fear by tomorrow evening
