@SPR1107 amazing news!

Hi all,
Hope you're all well

After spending the weekend moping because my symptoms had gone. I'm now moping because they've come back with a vengeance. My poor hubby. I don't know how he's going to cope with the next few months! Poor boy.
I told a few people today and HR. Still doesn't seem real but I hsbe a high risk job so need to tell a few people. Feels weird. Can't wait until the first scan. It might sink in properly. Then I'll know whats going on and can tell family and everyone else. Xx

donna474 · 03/09/2018 20:03

@monkerina I've got early scan on Saturday and feeling a bit weird about it. Feel it will make the pregnancy real and it will suddenly hit me that I actually have my child growing inside me.
@Ohnonotanotherusername I have psoriatic arthritis and I saw my specialist the other day who said he felt I'd probably be able to stay midwife led as all has been ok since coming off my meds. He also said that the second and third trimester generally ease arthritic symptoms

shamofamockery · 03/09/2018 20:15

Italianwifey had a scan at 7 weeks which dated me at 6, have another scan in 2 weeks due to bleeding.

Nausea is a bitch though!!!

Ohnonotanotherusername · 03/09/2018 20:18

@donna474 that's good to know. My consultant also mentioned that flare ups tend to ease during pregnancy. He also said in some women it goes into remission in pregnancy and doesn't come back. Keeping my fingers crossed for that!

Footymum81 · 03/09/2018 23:14

I had my doctors appointment first now got to see a midwife, also here you can contact the hospital midwives direct to arrange your scan so mines been booked for a while, it's on 25/9 when I'll be 12+3 which seems ages away still!
DD was born at a different hospital (same town but gynae/maternity was in one place and a&e at another) they've now merged so it's one massive place and I'm sure I'll get lost! I've been there to visit my nan when she was admitted last Feb and it was like a maze!
DH and I have told parents, my nan and stepsister (qualified midwife so i wanted to be able to ask her advice) and my work. Looking forward to telling our friends and not having to make excuses for not drinking.
Nausea has been horrible last few days. And tomorrow I have to take DD (14) back to school shopping, really not looking forward to it!

@shamofamockery should everything go to plan, I’ve been wondering about weddings. If my LMP and OV dates are right I’m due around 26th April and due to attend a close family members wedding on 13th April 😬
I’m wondering how possible that is gonna be when I could potentially go into labour at her wedding 🤣🤔

TheMagicTorch · 04/09/2018 09:26

@donna474 It was definitely a bit of a weird experience to see it on the screen and confirm it's real! It was lovely though and my non-emotional DP was really moved hearing the heartbeat.
Hope being back to work has been okay for you.

@littleemma1 🤣 I'm due 21 April and was meant to be a bridesmaid on 4th May. I'd still like to go to the wedding but I'll either have a newborn or be overdue... 🤔

littleemma1 · 04/09/2018 09:42

@TheMagicTorch oh you definitely win on the wedding front 🤣🤣🤣 good luck!

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 04/09/2018 10:04

I’ve started bleeding again Sad. EPU have fit me in tomorrow when I’ll be 9+3. Fingers crossed its ok as it was last time, the midwife in the phone said she wasn’t concerned but I am! I’m terrified tbh. 2 years ago at exactly this time, on my ds’s First day back at school I lost a 10 week pregnancy in a really traumatic way. Tomorrow’s their first day back and it’s giving me real panic which I know is ridiculous

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 04/09/2018 10:09

Sorry to hear that Awkward, glad they’ve fitted you in but I imagine it’s going to be a long 24 hours for you. Are you able to rest, do you have help at home? Flowers
Hopefully it’s normal first trimester bleeding x

italianwifey · 04/09/2018 10:11

@awkwardasallgetout it sounds like some
People do just bleed a bit in pregnancy, really hope
It’s nothing, fingers crossed for you. Also I don’t think it sounds silly, of course that date coming up would Make you feel worried but it doesn’t mean that anything bad will happen. Flowers

Treaclepie19 · 04/09/2018 14:27

I'm sorry to hear that @AwkwardAsAllGetout
Wishing you all the best for tomorrow. Hopefully it's just one of those things.

I've been noticing some light brown in my pants but not when I wipe so I'm thinking it's just dried discharge but it's still hard not to worry.
I also don't really feel pregnant. Sore nipples and tired but the nausea is very mild now.
2 and a half weeks until my scan.

italianwifey · 04/09/2018 16:03

@treaclepie19 try not to worry too much if you can - I know easier said than done but I have been worrying as past 4 days nausea has gone - asked my midwife this morning and she said very normal and that some ladies lose their sickness before 12 weeks, and that it says it usually is gone ‘by 12 weeks’ so that doesn’t mean has to continue right up until then. Not sure if it helps but just wanted to say as she didn’t seem worried which I found reassuring

Treaclepie19 · 04/09/2018 16:04

Thank you @italianwifey, that helps :)
I think I just expect it to be the same as with my son but of course it will be different.

Ohnonotanotherusername · 04/09/2018 16:17

My nausea has definitely eased off a bit (thank god). I'm just trying to enjoy eating a bit more normally.

My mum said her nausea went before 12 weeks with me but carried on to about week 20 with my brother, so it can definitely vary from pregnancy to pregnancy.

Rapunzel91 · 04/09/2018 16:24

Im another one with a wedding to attend, when I’ll be 37 weeks!🙈 The thought right now is that I’ll go, of course if I feel crap then I won’t so will just have to see how I feel then. What’s everyone’s thought on how soon you’ll let the bride/groom now if you’re going or not?

I’m currently on holiday in a hot country and have felt so rough about half the time I’ve been here! Im 8+4 and been so nauseous and been vomiting a few times, not nice when you’re in 37 C heat! The day before it started I was telling my DP how good I was feeling, definitely jinxed myself 😅

Mariposa123 · 04/09/2018 16:27

Hi ladies, can I join? Currently Week 7, with a due date April 18th. This is my first, so no idea what to expect!

Sleeplikeasloth · 04/09/2018 17:20

Hi can I join please?

I'm officially 6 weeks pregnant with my second, due date 30th April. I must have conceived just after my period ended (either that or I'm a month further on than I think Blush) so I think my body thinks I'm 7 weeks. My load test showed 3+ weeks from conception when I missed my period.

Anyway, I feel as sick as a dog, and slightly want to just wake up when it's all over like bears can do.

Sleeplikeasloth · 04/09/2018 17:20

Poas test...

littleemma1 · 04/09/2018 18:22

@Rapunzel91 we are going to wait and announce it to the whole family at 12 weeks which they will be included in, then speak to them separately at see what they are happy with xx

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 04/09/2018 21:08

My brother just got married and a good friend of his was there with his wife who was two days past her edd. They had said they wouldn’t go just so my db and sil knew where they were with numbers, but my db wanted them there if possible so just accepted that they might be no-shows! So I would say that those of you hmming and haaing over weddings just need to talk to the couple in question nearer the time 😊

I’m back at worked and floored! I drive an hour each way, leave before 7am and get home after 6pm with two kids to sort out and a load of school work to do in the evening. I’m not sure how I’m going to cope this time round 😬 Fortunately my head is lovely and I told her and my TA today so they are already “on side”.

italianwifey · 05/09/2018 11:18

How is everyone today? Is anyone else starving? I’m just on the way to buy snacks now. Between that and the million toilet breaks I’m surprised I’m getting anything done at work!

kettleonplease · 05/09/2018 11:31

If only I was starving, I haven't eaten much at all for about 10 days now as I've been feeling so sick :(. Make the most of eating @italianwifey 😂

MigMog · 05/09/2018 12:34

@italianwifey I've had the starving thing for a while now. I have to snack every couple of hours (sometimes throughout the night). Also smaller meals too. Forcing myself to eat today. Appetite has disappeared.

I keep wondering if the days I feel.most Ill, rough and just unwell are ones where this kidney bean is having a big growth or something is developing more.

TheMagicTorch · 05/09/2018 13:37

@italianwifey I'm constantly hungry but can't stomach big meals so having to eat little and often. My colleagues must think I'm a right piggy, can't wait til the secret's out 😂
