Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

@MimiSunshine I was thinking the same thing. I think loads of people wouldn't know by now, and even if I fall, I've learned how to do that safely. And thanks, I do private lessons so I've already passed most of the elements in this exam, but my coach wanted to work more on 3-turns before testing me on it (read: I'm rubbish 😂)

@CrystalBlaze so true! My FIL has given DH a list of things he's not to let me do. Very glad to get out of cleaning the cat boxes, tbh 😝

@rosettesforjill that's reassuring! I think it's important to keep on top of our mental/physical health by doing things we love... Bit of a balancing act, really (and not just the skating!).

@kiltedsheep how exciting!! Good luck with that. I know how the worry can take hold, but hopefully you're happy with whatever you decide to do!

Have decided to take my exam this afternoon and then box up my nice new skates until it's safe to skate again. Gutted as I was really looking forward to breaking them in, but it'll be worth it if all goes well 🤞

Cat32tt · 29/08/2018 12:47

@CrystalBlaze yes using flo, thanks for the recommendation just checked nhs and I am 3 weeks 😂 x

user1471540876 · 29/08/2018 13:32

@cat32tt it said that for me, too. Estimated due date 9th May. The only problem with finding out so early is that it gives longer for the anxiety to take hold!

Shazafied · 29/08/2018 13:55

How's everyone feeling ? I'm so dizzy today with waves of nausea. I'm still on mat leave and just bumped into my line manager in town , I was feeling (and probably looking) so rough , I am now paranoid that she knows !!!

Cat32tt · 29/08/2018 14:08

@user1471540876 oh do we have same due date? Fab!

Totally re the anxiety, It's such a long time to wait for first appointments, is this your first? X

Firstbornunicorn · 29/08/2018 14:11

@cat32tt
I'm user, just worked out how to change my screen name!

Yeah, it's my first pregnancy and first month of trying, which is why I'm really struggling to believe it's real!!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 29/08/2018 14:29

Welcome to all the lovely new ladies!

Anyone else just feeling absolutely drained? My sickness has ramped up just as it did in my previous pregnancies so feeling pretty sorry for myself today... and I know I’ve a long way to go yet! DH away for 2 weeks now so having myself a little pity party Sad

Anyone else feeling shitty?

rosettesforjill · 29/08/2018 14:29

@Shazafied I'm feeling pretty good - a bit bloated and slightly sore boobs but otherwise well. I didn't get any symptoms in my first pregnancy in the first trimester apart from uncontrollable hunger so hoping for a similar experience this time round!

Shazafied · 29/08/2018 14:31

@UntilTheVeryEnd I'm with you !!!

@rosettesforjill ahhhh I wouldn't mind uncontrollable hunger , I'd eat for England !!! I'm vvv thirsty though ! And I only want sugary fruit juice x

Cat32tt · 29/08/2018 14:46

@Firstbornunicorn exactly the same! First month trying and first pregnancy all feels a bit too good to be true

Do we just have the bloating thing now forever or does it settle down? I've lost 2lbs but having to unbutton my jeans 🤷‍♀️

CrystalBlaze · 29/08/2018 14:52

Same here @firstbornunicorn and @Cat! Exciting but unbelievable!

Bloating has calmed a bit for me now I'm nearly 6 weeks thank god. But it was awful especially in the evenings!

@Until, sending you love. I don't feel as bad as you but I am shattered all day and my boobs are killing me! How far along are you?

zoClueless · 29/08/2018 15:21

I'm 5weeks today and think bloating has been my main symptom. I'm getting some nausea if I don't have a snack every couple hours so trying to keep desk stocked with healthy options, but it's been manageable nausea so far - not looking forward to that getting worse.
Didn't take a test today. I think for only the second time since finding out last week and finding it hard not having had that reassurance. Need to get used to that - can't be taking them forever!!

zoClueless · 29/08/2018 15:22

@CrystalBlaze I hope the bloating calming down at 6weeks is a common thing!

Mejse · 29/08/2018 15:40

Hi and congrats to all the newbies!

I'm still not feeling very pregnant, I'm trying not to worry and just make the most of it but it can be hard.

Amazed by those of you with the energy and willpower to exercise. I am still about 7kg heavier than before I had my first. I really would like to be a bit healthier this pregnancy though

Plasticgiraffe · 29/08/2018 17:05

Hi ladies can I join please? Had a faint BFP on an Internet cheapie this morning at 11dpo and due 9th May all being well. Had a miscarriage at the start of this month at 5 weeks so feeling scared at the mo and hoping this one is a sticky bean. Feeling very very lucky it's happened so quickly especially since I'm 40 in a few months 🙈. Have DS who is 16 months and hoping I don't feel as sick with this pregnancy had to take promethezine last time and don't know how I'd cope with a toddler too x

Firstbornunicorn · 29/08/2018 17:33

@plasticgiraffe welcome!

Passed my grade 5 today, but my coach practically dragged me off the ice after the exam 😂. Think I might try to do Pilates instead for as long as I'm able.

I'm feeling absolutely rotten, but I have a stinking cold, so that's probably why. I felt queasy all day yesterday, but not so much today. Could easily have just been the cold - I always feel sick with them!

rosettesforjill · 29/08/2018 17:37

Well done for passing your exam @Plasticgiraffe!

I'm sitting outside nursery with DS while he finishes some birthday cake and getting all smiley thinking about him as a big brother Smile

rosettesforjill · 29/08/2018 17:39

Sorry, tagged the wrong person - it's @Firstbornunicorn I should be congratulating!

rosettesforjill · 29/08/2018 17:39

And welcoming @Plasticgiraffe - is it too early for baby brain

Plasticgiraffe · 29/08/2018 17:43

No worries I did have to think what exam did I take? - also baby brain 😂

Firstbornunicorn · 29/08/2018 17:52

Thanks @rosettesforjill

MimiSunshine · 29/08/2018 18:21

@Firstbornunicorn well done on passing your exam.
I did pregnancy yoga during my first pregnancy, I’d really recommend it (I’m assuming Pilates is fairly similar) for instilling good posture and helping with birth.

It’s recommended not to start the classes until your post 14 wks but I think like any exercise, if you already do it then you’re fine to continue.

@Mejse I’m exactly the same. Maybe a bit of bloating in the evening and the very occasional slight queasy feeling (but like I’m almost willing it on) which paces very quick.
Otherwise if it wasn’t for a lack of period then I doubt I’d know like last time.

Last time I’d only just come off the pill and my first cycle was really long so on the second one I just kept waiting for it to appear until I got to 45 days and thought “hmm maybe I should take a test” 😄

rosettesforjill · 29/08/2018 18:30

Pregnancy yoga was lovely - would definitely recommend it! It didn't lead to an easy labour/delivery for me but I think it made me feel more in control of what was happening.

Just referred myself to the midwives online! Have expressed a preference for a home birth as I'd really like to avoid the hospital experience this time. However... we're about to start a pretty big project on our house so may change my mind depending how much if it overruns Confused

CrystalBlaze · 29/08/2018 20:50

Well done @firstborn and congrats and welcome new ladies!

I think Pilates is really good, went to a class last week and enjoyed it.

Becs1984 · 29/08/2018 20:55

Evening all! Hoping you don't mind another member! Just got a very quick BFP and am so so excited
