Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

Hope the bite isn’t anything serious @zoClueless and you are able to relax soon.

I’ve arranged my booking in appointment but not my early scan. I might wait until the end of next week to do that.

tinyradish · 28/08/2018 16:38

I've found the referral form on the hospitals website, so think I'll fill that in & cancel the GP apt. Makes more sense?

zoClueless · 28/08/2018 16:45

@tinyradish - don't blame you, I asked the receptionist on the phone if I could self refer and she said I had to come in. I agree it's such a waste of time

Thanks @SurfingOwl . I hope it's ok too. Couldn't believe how big the red mark was. It's less swollen and no longer warm to touch now so hopefully getting better.

tinyradish · 28/08/2018 18:39

It is isn't it? Surely the GP is just going to ask the questions needed to fill in the form. Which I can just do myself Confused

How's everyone feeling?

kiltedsheep · 28/08/2018 18:49

@SurfingOwl Woop woop! 🙌

@tinyradish I do agree that it's a complete waste of time. I just had my GP appt about half an hour ago and they confirmed that you can't self-refer where I am (London borough of Sutton). The GP literally just filled in a pro forma referral letter in front of me 🙄

Mejse · 28/08/2018 19:45

@UntilTheVeryEnd I have looked for a clearblue digital here but the only digital test I can find only says positive or negative there are none with weeks on them.

My first test was at 9dpo and it was a proper squinter but 2 days later the line was very dark and came up very fast.

I feel like everything is going so slow this time. I had to change my gp appointment to the 20th I have no idea how long after that I will get to see a midwife. I don't even feel pregnant at all right now other than being totally exhausted all the time

Shazafied · 28/08/2018 20:23

I'm feeling waves of nausea , boob / nipple pain (but not AF boob pain) and the very specific type of headache I had with DD1. Head in a vice with a dry mouth sort of headache. And a few fanny daggers.

Starting to wonder how I'll cope throughout pregnancy with an older baby that refuses to sleep. I am actually going to bed now as she'll probably wake up in 3 hours or so Star

UntilTheVeryEnd · 28/08/2018 20:26

@Mejse have you had a look in a chemist? I couldn’t get them in the supermarkets - had to buy mine in boots or Superdrug. You can get them online as well - they say “how many weeks” in big writing on the box. They are good cause the do give you a rough idea when conception took place - which for me is what I need as I didn’t have a period following my coil removal so no bloody idea what’s going on haha x

Shazafied · 28/08/2018 20:30

Here you are @Mejse

Mejse · 28/08/2018 20:40

Oh thanks I hadn't even thought of looking online. I tried my local pharmacy but it doesn't seem like that's a brand they use here in Denmark. Now I just need to try and justify it to dh haha

rosettesforjill · 28/08/2018 21:46

Can I join you? Just found out today that I'm pregnant with number 2 - it was a bit of a surprise as we only had sex twice last month and I thought it was at totally the wrong time! NHS calculator says 1st May but by my dates I think it may be a little earlier. Feeling incredibly guilty about a very boozy bank holiday weekend but too late to change that now... Blush

SurfingOwl · 28/08/2018 22:07

I hope your DD lets you sleep tonight @Shazafied. How old is she?

Congratulations @rosettesforjill. Your username has made me think of a series of books I read in my childhood. Smile

rosettesforjill · 28/08/2018 22:28

Thanks @SurfingOwl Smile I used to love the Jill books!

user1471540876 · 28/08/2018 23:01

So, I bought myself some nice new ice skates at the weekend as I have my grade 5 exam tomorrow. Found out the next day that I was "with child". Told my coach tonight and she was horrified. Being only about 3 weeks gone, I thought it would be ok to do the exam and then hang my skates up. There won't be any jumping or spinning involved.
What do you think? Is there any risk at all here, really?

MimiSunshine · 29/08/2018 06:19

User I don’t think any of us can say it’s with or without risk but at c3 weeks pregnant your little embryo is about the size of a poppy seed so absolutely tiny and well cushioned.

You could easily not know you’re pregnant yet and have done the exam.

Shazafied · 29/08/2018 07:07

@SurfingOwl thanks , I think I got 5-6 hours in total last night which isn't bad, she's 8 months !!

@rosettesforjill welcome ! Please don't worry about drinking before you found out! It's so common and the baby still has a yolk sack. I had a really bad hangover the morning I found out I was pregnant with DD1

@user1471540876 it's a funny one, there is almost definitely no risk , but then as soon people know they feel they must treat you as a pregnant lady just in case anything were to happen. I think pregnant is pregnant sometimes ! Have you been told you can't do it ? Good luck if you do !!

rosettesforjill · 29/08/2018 07:19

@user1471540876 I rode horses until 8 weeks with number 1 - I was confident about not falling off (no showjumping or anything!) and decided the risk was minimal. It's going to be the falling over that's the worry! I would probably carry on but take it easy Smile

CrystalBlaze · 29/08/2018 07:34

I think you will be fine @user but its entirely up to you. But feel like there will be enough times when we won't be able to do stuff so may as well make the most of it now iyswim

I have woken up SO TIRED this morning and it is pissing down with rain. So do not want to go to work.

rosettesforjill · 29/08/2018 08:09

I went for a run in the rain this morning so I am feeling pretty smug Grin I'm determined not to put on as much weight this time round as it was a bastard to lose again! And I want to be in better shape in case of another epic labour. Not sure how long I'll keep it up but at least I'm starting with good intentions...

CrystalBlaze · 29/08/2018 08:18

@rosettes that is very impressive! I'm trying to keep up exercising at least four times a week. Just didn't quite manage to drag myself out this morning. Used to love going for a run but sadly my poor old knees are knackered.

kiltedsheep · 29/08/2018 09:09

@CrystalBlaze @rosettesforjill You guys are inspirational! I also want to try to keep in some sort of shape although it doesn't help that I keep stuffing my face full of chocolate, but I have to say it's hard when you've got so little energy.

Still - I should pull my finger out and get on with it!

@user1471540876 We're going to Cornwall at the weekend for a few days (I hope the weather will be better than it is now) and I'd been really looking forward to doing my first ever surfing lesson. And now I'm not sure about whether I should do it, even though my brain thinks that's ridiculous because the embryo is currently the size of a peppercorn. And yet... Confused

Cat32tt · 29/08/2018 09:21

Morning Ladies, can i join?

Got my BFP Sunday have tested everyday since according to app i'm 5+7 but in reality its more like 2 weeks.

This is my first so completely out my depth!

rosettesforjill · 29/08/2018 09:34

Hi @Cat32tt! Congratulations! Smile

CrystalBlaze · 29/08/2018 09:39

Welcome @Cat! Are you using flo by any chance? It recorded me as being a week further on when I actually logged the pregnancy than I actually was so may be worth comparing it with NHS due date calculator.

Congratulations Smile
