Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

@kiltedsheep yes, I know! I’m certain they just take advantage of our worries and ramp the price up. A week ago I would have expected to be 3+ either tomorrow or, at the latest, Wednesday. However, I got my 2-3 last Monday so theoretically it should be today I get my 3+ but I don’t think I will risk it, especially since if it doesn’t say 3+ I will worry so much.

MsHopey · 27/08/2018 19:46

Hey everyone @seeingdots invited me over from the pregnancy board.
Pregnant with DC2. 8th May is my estimated due date.
Feeling a bit panicky that something will go wrong, but generally super excited and happy Grin

SurfingOwl · 27/08/2018 20:15

Hello and welcome @MsHopey and I hope everything goes well.

UntilTheVeryEnd · 27/08/2018 21:02

@MsHopey hiya 👋

@SurfingOwl I took my last CB digital this morning and I got that elusive 3+
What day do you think you ovulated/ due? Maybe try in the morning?

SurfingOwl · 27/08/2018 21:07

@UntilTheVeryEnd I will test tomorrow and hopefully it will be 3+ then. If I can drag my patience out until the afternoon, I’ll test them to be half way between days!

kiltedsheep · 27/08/2018 21:19

@SurfingOwl We can be testing buddies! I'll POAS tomorrow afternoon too, and hopefully we'll both get a 3+. Keep the faith!

SurfingOwl · 27/08/2018 21:22

@kiltedsheep great suggestion! I can feel the pressure on now not to let you down! Grin

UntilTheVeryEnd · 27/08/2018 21:37

You’re best with first morning urine ladies... it’s the most concentrated and more likely to read the 3+

kiltedsheep · 27/08/2018 21:46

@UntilTheVeryEnd Of course - you're absolutely right. Morning it is, then!

@SurfingOwl You definitely shouldn't feel any pressure on my account! Just know that, in terms of POAS tomorrow, I stand shoulder to shoulder with you in solidarity (if that image isn't too weird Wink)

UntilTheVeryEnd · 27/08/2018 22:00

Ill show you mine if you show me yours Wink
Some inspiration and a hand hold ladies, for the morning! This is from someone who is totally guessing as no LMP to work from haha x

Got BFP yesterday. Well, really the night before, but DH insisted he couldn't see the line, so had to do a digital one for confirmation.
First pregnancy. Have given the heads up to both sets of parents. Very anxious as it's so early that anything could still happen. Haven't even missed a period yet. I just knew.

CrystalBlaze · 28/08/2018 09:05

Morning ladies and welcome and congrats to all newbies!

I'm slightly worried this morning as my very sore boobs don't feel as sore and my bloating has subsided. I'm 5+4. Trying not to panic as I know symptoms can come and go but it's hard!

kiltedsheep · 28/08/2018 09:53

@user1471540876 welcome and congrats!

@CrystalBlaze I know what you mean. I had cramps all last week, and this week I've got nothing except for feeling tired (and I always feel tired anyway!). But I just did the POAS on a digital CB and it does say 3+, so hopefully all is ok.

@SurfingOwl Hope the POAS worked out for you too!

Shazafied · 28/08/2018 10:17

Hi all,

I've just jumped over from the September ttc bus. I'm not sure exactly when I ovulated (I think I might be 13 dpo) and have tested a very faint positive last night and this morning with a cheap test (20mg/ml). AF due on Thursday so will do a more sensitive test then, can't bear to look at another very faint positive as is driving me batty!!

Pic attached of my squinter.

All being well this will be dc2 for us, we have an 8 month old DD so 17 month age gap !! Anyone else expecting two under two?! We were actively trying to have two close together but didn't really expect it to happen so soon as took over 3 years to have DD1.

Hope you are all feeling well and less anxious than me - I'll be happy when I see a big fat pink test line !!!

minnierose3 · 28/08/2018 10:18

How many dpo did you all get your BFPs just 10 days for me and a bright line beaming there at me before I even flushed the loo!!!!!!! Now getting nervous I'm having twins lol

Shazafied · 28/08/2018 10:18

@CrystalBlaze try my to worry , in the early weeks of my pregnancy with DD1 I had terrible symptoms one day and nothing the next, even went for an early scan and all was fine !! It's so hard though xx

Shazafied · 28/08/2018 10:21

I forgot to say my estimated due date from LMP is 7/5/19.

How soon do you all go to the gp? If I remember rightly booking in appt with midwife is at 8 weeks !!

CrystalBlaze · 28/08/2018 10:36

Thanks @Shazafied, I know you're right. It's so easy to get carried away with worrying!

Congratulations by the way! My booking appointment isn't till 9 weeks. Aaaages away.

SurfingOwl · 28/08/2018 10:38

Great news @kiltedsheep. Me too! Grin

@Shazafied welcome.

@minnierose3 I got my BFP at 10dpo.

I am going to ring to book an appointment with my midwife later on today. I’m not sure whether to go for an early scan or not. I have a real fear of scans and much prefer to bury my head in the sand and assume everything is ok. I also need to make a decision about which hospital to go to.

MimiSunshine · 28/08/2018 11:07

I got my BFP at 14DPO so I think in reality I’m c2+1/2 days (from LP I’m 5+2) as I tested at 9 days and it was negative.

I don’t have any real symptoms as such yet. Starting to experience some bloating in the evening and very vivid dreams.

But I found out at 3+5 (as per the dates) so very early. Where as in my first pregnancy I didn’t find out until after 6wks and didn’t get any symptoms until c8wks so feel I still have a while to go yet before that kicks in.

Well hopefully 🤞🏼 I keep swinging from being very excited to very nervous. There are definitely downsides to finding out so early 😬

minnierose3 · 28/08/2018 11:29

@surfingowl oh that makes me feel better what time did you test and did the result show quickly

I am very nauseous don't remember it being this bad it's my dc3 xx

SurfingOwl · 28/08/2018 11:40

@minnierose3 it was a FRER and a definite line was there before I had finished washing my hands. It was strong enough that I wonder if I would have had a positive with that type of test the day before.

zoClueless · 28/08/2018 11:56

Hi everyone. I'm very tentatively joining in. I got a bfp on Friday and am now 4+6.
Called GP today and I do have to go in for an appointment so I can be referred. I've got that booked in for 10 Sept when I'll be 6+5.
Hopefully the referral only take a couple weekend so I'm not delayed too long with booking in appointment.

I'll probably be more of a lurker here to be starting with as I'm very nervous after a loss at 5+6 earlier this year. This has not been helped by the amount of cramping I have been having (although logically I know this is normal - and I took another FRER this morning, still positive!) and also not helped as I got bitten by something unknown over the weekend which has really caused a massive red mark

tinyradish · 28/08/2018 12:48

Congratulations to all newbies :)

I got a strong line on a frer at 11dpo @minnie but that morning barely anything on an ic - looked like an evap if anything but I just 'knew'

My Dr's have made me book in an apt next week too - seems like a waste of my time & theirs to be honest.

Shazafied · 28/08/2018 13:19

@zoClueless I'm right with you on the tentativeness, I was very nervous to even post here as it's still so early. But every day that passes massively increases the chance of a fully successful pregnancy.
