Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

Well I caved and bought another test, did today (af due date) and got a really strong positive, much stronger than a few days ago.

I was so sick for the whole pregnancy last time teladi I'm hoping I get away with it this time! Just a normal amount of nausea that goes away after the first trimester would be great!

Mauisleftipple which nappies do you have? We tried miosolos with ds but found they didn't for him amazingly...

EspressoPatronum · 13/09/2018 14:15

fit him!

MynameisJune · 13/09/2018 14:32

No real symptoms here either, sometimes a bit crampy but nothing too bad. Sickness didn’t start until 6+ weeks with DD. Appetite fluctuates between not hungry and could eat a horse. And rather than tired I seem to have insomnia just around bedtime and then I’m shattered during the day.

I’ve got another FRER from the pack of two and a CB digital in my cupboard. Have no desire to POAS, last time I did a CB digi on the Monday night at 8pm and got 1-2 weeks. Woke up the following morning to blood, so they provide no reassurance to me at all.

MauisLeftNipple · 13/09/2018 15:50

EspressoPatronum I've tried multiple nappy brands over the years. At the moment I mainly use Miosolos, but also have Easyfit Stars, Real Easy, Miosoft and Motherease in rotation. I use Little Lamb bamboo for nights. I used LL a lot more with my eldest, however got fed up with how long they took to dry (we don't have a tumble dryer).

MauisLeftNipple · 13/09/2018 15:53

MynameisJune yeah unfortunately a pink line on a stick gives no indication of the health of a pregnancy. Sorry for your previous experience.

Mcdonald234 · 13/09/2018 19:30

@MauisLeftNipple How do you find using reusable nappies? It's defo something I want to look into. This is my first so everything is new I guess.

Has anyone blurted it out to someone then felt instantly bad? Happened to me today. I must be no good at keeping secrets! Have promised myself not to do it again!

earlybirdhasanap · 13/09/2018 19:38

Can we talk cravings? Has any one got any yet. I had HG last time so I only had aversions (plenty of them) but at the moment I can't. Stop. Thinking. About. Noodles. Any noodles.

Popsalot15 · 13/09/2018 19:44

@earlybirdhasanap only carbs- the caffeine withdrawal has left a big gap in my daily routine! Decaf just doesn’t do it for me although there is absolutely no difference in taste

Plasticgiraffe · 13/09/2018 20:07

@earlybirdhasanap definitely carbs and also sweets. Had bad morning sickness last time from 4 til 20 weeks promethezine worked ok and have 10 left from last time just in case til I can get to the GP. I'm 6 weeks now though and only have a very mild sicky feeling in the afternoons so hoping that I'll get normal morning sickness this time. I'm sure it came on really quickly and went off all food instantly last time and this time does feel a bit different

earlybirdhasanap · 13/09/2018 20:19

@Plasticgiraffe yes I was the same last time. It started suddenly at 4 weeks with an aversion to the kettle boiling and the steam making me sick Blush and remember not being able to go to my work do at 5 weeks and Christmas was awful at six weeks. I'm 5+2 now and have much more energy and I've been sick a couple of times but nothing like before so fingers crossed I've swerved it this time.
Oh carbs! Yes. It must be the caffeine withdrawal. Although I'm still having two cups of tea a day I usually have 3 americanos with two shots of espresso in each cup a day.

seeingdots · 13/09/2018 21:00

@earlybirdhasanap macaroni cheese! Specifically had to be a macaroni cheese pie today Blush. It was cracking! My ambitions for a zero net weight gain pregnancy are quickly flying out the window though!

inkworks273 · 13/09/2018 21:08

I've not had any cravings or aversions yet but I'm only 4 weeks. I've just been feeling slightly nauseous in general but nothing bad.

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 13/09/2018 21:18

TMI but is anyone else struggling with constipation? I feel like I haven’t properly ‘gone’ all week Blush

SurfingOwl · 13/09/2018 21:19

@CoffeeWithMyOxygen no, the complete opposite! Both are quite normal though due to the hormone fluctuations.

fadgadget · 13/09/2018 22:18

I’ve been for an early scan, it was pretty quick but everyone was very nice. It was an internal scan since it was about 6.5 weeks in. Saw a heartbeat which was pretty unreal, trying to remember we’re not in the clear for some time though, but it really put my mind at rest.

I’ve been feeling nausea every day for about a week now, worse in the morning but it strikes throughout the day and evening. I’m also completely knackered and keep having naps. Eating is one of the only things which helps keep the nausea at bay, so I’m feeling a bit miserable about the likely weight gain (baby not included) but it’s that or feel like dirt.....

Firstbornunicorn · 13/09/2018 23:27

Re: symptoms, I'm nauseous a lot of the day. And my body seems to be randomly selecting foods that disgust it - e.g. one night I was craving Mac & cheese, but DH had eaten all the cheese Hmm, but got some the next night, and suddenly nothing could possibly seem more disgusting.
Got a weird twinge waaaay low down on my right side, like on my pubic bone. Did have this before I was pregnant, went for scan and nothing found. Just been a bit more persistent in the past week.

Main symptom is bone-crushing fatigue. Most of the day, my options are sleep or cry. Don't know wtf is wrong with me, but can't imagine anyone would do this more than once if it's normal. Don't even have the strength to get a shower and had to give up eating my dinner as was just too tired Sad

MrsReader · 13/09/2018 23:40

I am in awe of anyone who manages to go about their daily life as normal when pregnant! I've had nausea all day the last few days and am really struggling to get through the day at work. When I get home all I can do is eat and sleep 😬 I'm gonna be the size of a house at this rate

BuntyII · 13/09/2018 23:45

I'm afraid I'm out. The digis which have been stuck at 1-2 all week have finally turned not pregnant. I knew something was wrong. Best of luck to all of you. @frankiefumbles I hope this is it for you 🤞

MimiSunshine · 14/09/2018 04:55

I’m so sorry @Buntyll I hope next time has a better outcome for you 🤞🏼 ♥️
